Disinterest all the way…

After researching the local estate agency market, when we were looking to sell my dad’s home, Mansell McTaggart Copthorne seemed to be the best solution. However, since putting it on the market in January we have now moved to another estate agents. Although we had an offer earlier in the process (that fell through, through no fault of MM), the lack of effort and communication following this was staggering. No interest, no feedback and they had to be chased on every little detail. Viewings feedback was non existent and my advice to others looking locally for an estate agents in and around Crawley is avoid this bunch. Zero motivation and even less interest!

We would Highly Recommend Mansell McTaggart in Brighton for their total thoroughness. We purchased our home through the Patcham Branch, and Fenton, was thoroughly efficient. We sold again through Mark Williams, who was Exemplary. Mark was thorough and on the ball from the point of valuation, throughout the viewings and the sales progression. Thanks also to Joanna for her endless calls and emails to lawyers from both sides, some of them pretty unresponsive. We were really pleased with the service received from Mansell McTaggart. They got a really good price for the house. They navigated various difficulties to get the deal over the line. Mansell McTaggart earned our trust at the outset and we valued their transparency. They also went the extra mile in helping out with various things to get the house ready for sale - special thanks again to Mark Williams. We have had as buyers such an amazing experience with this Agents and particularly with Daniel. Always so receptive, communication has been brilliant, willingness to show us the house several time during the process and so on. We were going to buy another house that fell through with Mantsell Mactaggart Lindfiled, that experience was horrendous, I can't explain how unpleasant that was. Luckily this time was different and made me realise that not all Mantsell's offices are the same, the share the same name but the service can be absolutely different from one to another.

My experience with Mansell McTaggart…

My experience with Mansell McTaggart was, from start to finish, extremely disappointing. I was both buying and selling through them, and the entire process was stressful for all the wrong reasons. The only member of staff I would recommend is Rhys. He was professional, helpful, and one of the few people who communicated properly throughout the process. Unfortunately, the rest of my experience was poor. Jamie Glew, despite being a partner, came across as rude and dismissive whenever I had to deal with him. I expected a much higher standard of customer service from someone in such a senior position. Communication throughout the transaction was consistently lacking. Even something as simple as collecting the keys to my new property became unnecessarily difficult, and rather than trying to help, staff were rude and unaccommodating. The mortgage brokers they work with were equally frustrating. Their communication was extremely poor, I regularly had to call numerous times before I could actually speak to someone or receive an update. Chasing them became a full-time job. What concerned me most was my experience with the first mortgage broker. During my application, I discovered that details of my purchase and personal circumstances had been discussed with my relatives because the broker claimed to have a "good friendship" with them. I found this completely unacceptable and deeply concerning from a confidentiality and data privacy perspective. Overall, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I have had. Buying and selling a home is stressful enough without having to deal with poor communication, unprofessional behaviour, and a lack of respect for clients. I would not recommend Mansell McTaggart based on my experience, with the sole exception of Rhys, who was the only person who consistently demonstrated professionalism and genuine customer care.

Due to emails sent which I have now been shared due to divorce. I am taking legal action very soon on the company and one individual. Most unprofessional act I have ever had to witness when they don’t know the truth. And when you have done everything in your power to sell the house, and they just don’t try and sell it. Ring doorbells. Give the client a brochure and stay outside on your phone. Find a real sales estate agent
