Really lovely team at Bridgfords, Sale. Elizabeth has been a brilliant support from my first contact and both Elizabeth and Katie have been brilliant at communicating with me before, during and since they've found tenants for me. They helped with arranging a contractor to complete a few jobs I wanted to get sorted before anyone moved in and it's a pleasure to write this review. I'd happily recommend them.

Valuation?? They can't be bothered!

Booked in a valuation with Bridgfords. They called the following morning at 830 which was very efficient. Was advised over the phone that this would take 30 minutes. Had a phone call from the Sale branch on the morning of the appointment. Asked if i intended to put my house up for sale, said it would be dependent on the equity we have in the house. He said the valuation would take and hour and a half and he could send a virtual valuation. It sounded like the guy couldn't be bothered at all. If this is the level of experience you get from someone that is trying to get your business, I would hate to think about the experience you would have selling through this place. Really poor service!

I cannot stress enough how excellent their service is. Because I just moved from Hong Kong to the UK last year and knew nothing about the procedures of buying a house in the UK. I recently sold my father’s house through Bridgfords Sale. It wasn't the easiest time, having to deal with things from afar, but the team at Bridgfords Sale were very helpful and made the process as painless as possible. From the first appointment with Rachel who demonstrated a huge amount of local knowledge, through to completion, when I was receiving updates daily, I couldn't have asked for better service. Megan, specifically, was brilliant throughout the whole process. She kept me informed at every step of the way with clear communications and updates and reassured me when I was uncertain as to what was going on or frustrated at the length of time things were taking to be resolved. Her tenacity at chasing the solicitors and lender was really appreciated and I honestly think the process would have dragged on for far longer if it hadn’t been for her commitment and dedication. She even checked on the property and obtained meter readings for me when I was unable to get to the property due to Covid. I know there are cheaper online ways to sell your house but I can honestly say that Bridgfords were worth every penny and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I asked Brigfords to put my house on the market for letting. Amber the branch manager has been very responsive and helpful. (She also helped me rent a house before when I hadn’t bought a house of my own and therefore I also used them for letting) I think Amber was very nice and approachable. Their team did actively arrange viewings for me and I got text notifications when viewings were booked. The house itself is not brand new and it was not easy to find a good tenant, but I appreciate they kept trying. At the end, they helped me secure a tenant and able to let it out at my asking price and I very much appreciated their efforts. The only thing I was not very happy about was the communication. I would only know what I needed to know when I asked them by email. They found a few potential tenants and sent me the offer. After I accepted one of the offers, they didn’t provide an update whether this would be proceeded or it had been fallen through. I was only informed the tenancy would start 2 days later after I received a system email asking me to sign the contract electronically. I felt a bit surprised and didn’t want to sign the contract as I didn’t know whether the reference checks passed or not… (they did confirm me the checking were all okay later on the phone) plus, I wanted to meet the tenant and clean the house before the tenancy started but I could not arrange as the Tenant would move in 2 days later….(and of course the tenant was not very happy about this). As it is my first time letting out a house, I expect I would be informed timely on the progress without asking. It is the only thing that I felt a bit frustrated. I understood they have a lot of cases they need to handle so it could be just overlooking. Later on, one of their staff apologised to me and explained my case was handled by a new joiner so she didn’t know how to handle well. Plus it is summer holiday season so many of them were away, including Amber and therefore she couldn’t handle the case herself. I think in overall they are very helpful and will respond promptly to requests and enquiries, which I felt very pleased. I may continue to use them in the future.

Well what I can say! SHOCKING SERVICE.

Well what I can say!! After 7 years we have had enough and made the decision to move after countless problems. I am now having to move away from the area I grew up in and also I have to let my pet dog go after all the problems and YES BRIDGFORDS YOU ARE TO BLAME!!!! When we moved into the property it was just about habitable, it should not of been presented in the way it was but we were desperate. Over the years we improved the property ourselves and made it a nice home and we genuinely felt at home. Problems included heating pump problems, shower problems, we were left without a gas hob for 6 weeks, had to live practically off ready meals. Roof leaks, boiler problems which take weeks or even months to resolve. The penultimate decision to move was made when we were left without heating over the Christmas period, the house ended up like an ice box to the extreme causing massive distress to us and our young children, but they just don't care, waiting days and days for quotes to be accepted. Money comes before Health and Safety with these guys and to top it off we are being harassed to arrange viewings for new tenants, absolute joke. Unlucky for them is that I know property law, probably better than them and I have the right to refuse access to them until tenancy agreement ends. No one from the agency has ever been out to inspect the property in 7 years but they are willing to show people around, for they all know the property could be trashed. Absolutely unprofessional, some staff should be nowhere near the business of real estate. I think they think that payment of rent is just for the property, its not you pay rent for a service to which you do not get! DO NOT RENT A PROPERTY FROM BRIDGFORDS. Its just a shame it has come to this but they are to BLAME FOR IT ALL!! SIMPLE. GOOD LUCK TO WHOEVER MOVES IN!!

Absolutely shocking , no chase ups , no progress or updates for my purchase, no follow up , consequently a £400 k purchase failing at the last minute , not qualified to sell houses correctly, , complete garbage im afraid , cost me thousands in abortive fees , totally lied to & lead down the garden path. From meeting Dale, who came to value the property, to all the viewing staff and Rachel. Edward has been a star, he who took over when we agreed a sale. It's been a rollercoaster ride (selling in a Pandemic is not for the faint hearted!) But, with everyone doing such a great job, we are over the moon at selling through Bridgfords in Sale. Friendly, helpful, patient and great for getting the price we wanted, and not undervaluing just to get a sale. Highly recommend the team.

I would like to thank Bridgfords Sale branch for the help and support in selling our family home recently. Although we got 2 other estate agents out for a valuation and discussion on their services, Bridgfords led the way in terms of professionalism, enthusiasm and knowledge. Rachel was friendly and personable. Most of our dealings thereafter were done with Edward who was fantastic, friendly and took a proactive approach in keeping us up to date. I have recently let my property out in Sale and have been very pleased with the service received from Bridgfords. From the moment I met Amber, she was professional and friendly and was one of the main reasons why I chose Bridgfords instead of one of the other agents in the town. Unfortunately, i read these reviews quite late and I am in agreement with all the negative opinions about Bridgfords Withington. We tried to buy a flat, but when we told them that we have our own mortgage advisor, the communication stopped. When we tried to get updates, they would try to discourage us to continue. They went on making an offer for our maximum budget, despite only having 1 additional buyer who offered 25k less than us. Dishonesty/ lack of transparency and totally unprofessionalism, especially Richard/ Hammad. I am happy I did not use their services, and I now select properties which are not in their portfolio. Quite sure the seller has received a lower offer as well, which is a shame as the flat was superb. Avoid!
