Would prefer to give 0 stars. We chose Bridgfords a year ago. Their customer communication was horrendous. No feedback ever and if we did ask for some, it was always negative and unhelpful. We kept with them hoping for the best, however they never improved. Emails went unanswered as did calls. We very nearly gave up hope until another nearby estate agent contacted us, the best move we ever made. We received two positive offers on their first day of viewings. To top it all... Weeks after we had sold with the new estate agent. Bridgfords Altrincham had the audacity to put our house BACK on Rightmove... Why, we will never know. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!! It really isn't worth the stress...

Branch staff good, conveyancing beyond horrendous

Started the journey of selling my flat with Bridgfords well, great listing, quickly found a buyer, then Bridgfords conveyancing service took over and was incompetent at every turn. 6 months on from accepting an offer I’ve had to end the sale as my mental health couldn’t handle anymore of the misleading, lies and gaslighting from their conveyancers. Was so bad even the branch staff said they were embarrassed at how bad it was.

If I could put 0 I would. My cousin gave notice that he was giving up the flat due to family and health issues. Before he was able to remove his things (within a week) they have taken his belonging and given only some clothing back. They have stolen a family air loom watch (Rolex) , cash that was for Christmas, not given back any expensive trainers .. they have drip fed some things back since like the tvs and yet to receive the Xbox, they have photos of his stuff on their report which they haven’t given back. They are not to be trusted . They are proceeding to trade non ethically and illegally. Reports to police have been made. They prey on vulnerable people

As full time property investor i have deal with many agents on a daily basis and quality agents with staff that are knowledgable and reputable are unfortunately few and far between! The guys at bridgfords Alty are certainly an exception to the many, and can't thank them enough for their hard work whilst we purchased our new residential property. Bought a house recently via Bridgfords Altrincham, Russell was the person looking after us right from the starting from arranging viewings till the end of completion. Buying a house is not very easy , lot of complex things which everyone has to go through especially with the solicitors, but Russell was patiently answering everything we asked for about the contract exchange progress, and made sure the process gone smoother. It’s not often I feel strong enough to leave a review these days as service seems to be on the down slope , but not in this case. Stephen Tapper totally bucks that trend . This guy oozes great customer service , he not only knows his stuff on how to look after people he goes above and beyond , he learns everything about the property he is showing you and most importantly for the buyer he gets to understand what you are looking for too , enabling him to match you up with the right property and what suits your needs . We would always want Stephen to show us around and next time we come to sell he would be a big influence in the possibility of using Bridgfords . We initially opted for a small local estate agent and after a number of months we chose to part company without selling the property. We opted for Altrincham Bridgfords, Jacky came to view the property and asked if she could be blunt, I said 'yes' of course. She then gave us great advice in how to dress the house and present the house, which we took on board. The advice was brilliant and resulted in many viewings and a sale within weeks. We were then assisted by Radhika in the office as well rest of the team to be the conduit between the buyers and ourselves. I must also say, their photographer was brilliant, he took great pride ensuring only the best photos could be taken. The guys were a million miles apart from the the initial estate agents we chose to go with initially. They were brilliant and its not easy taking on a property that had already been listed elsewhere to sell. I would highly recommend this team, they are approachable and dedicated to their roles. Bridgfords Gosforth

Bridgfords Gosforth - categorically the worst letting agents I have ever dealt with. They were very efficient at getting credit checks completed and the rent and deposit organised. After that though the service was appalllng. We picked up they keys a few days before we moved in and noticed a wash basin in the ensuite was smashed, and the premises was generally dirty (not mentioned on the inventory). Rang and advised - and said they could access the property to repair if necessary. It was not repaired when I moved in and I was advised this was because I needed to report through their portal. In the first week I had to report repairs - washing machine not plumbed in, broken toilet seats, kitchen cupboards so dilapidated the drawers fell out when opened, gas fire not working, thermostats missing/broken on radiators, ventilation fans not working plus the smashed basin. It took them 7 weeks to get some of the repairs done, the remainder were outstanding when I left 6 months later. I chased and chased but just got told they aren't priority repairs (repairs on white goods are supposed to be prioritised). Once I handed my notice in they were super efficient at arranging viewings to get some other poor fool to pay £850 to live in a cold badly maintained property.Although I have seen a copy of the check out report which mentioned lots of issues, all of which predated my tenancy, I have never had confirmation that the Land Lord is happy ( They brow beat me into taking a zero deposit arrangement which was very expensive so I don't have a deposit to come back) All in all swift to take your money slow to respond to issues and communications demonstrate how little they care about their tenants. I cannot recommend highly enough that you avoid this business like the plague.
