Though the first tenants had an early termination of tenancy, but a second tenant was secured almost without a break period during September. I am also very pleased, in particular, with Alexandra Ene who had efficiently executed the new tenancy agreement and the letting agreement with Johns&Co.I couldn't be gladder to have them in managing my property especially I am a non-resident landlord.

The dishwasher has been not working for two months, and despite sending several follow-up emails, I haven’t received any response. The electric towel wrack was faulty from the start, and they haven’t addressed this either.I will never work with this company again. GoogleZERO STARS. We are extremely disappointed with our experience with JOHNS & CO and strongly advise others DO NOT RENT THROUGH THIS AGENCY.
From the very beginning, the process was unnecessarily stressful. The agency constantly pressured us to provide documents within short deadlines and insisted on physical guarantor signatures. This was completely unreasonable since some of our guarantors live as far as Leeds, while most other agencies easily accept online signatures. Only after multiple arguments and constant follow-ups did they finally allow e-signatures.
Our assigned agent was rude and unhelpful throughout. When we finally moved in, the apartment was in TERRIBLE CONDITION: dirty, dusty, and clearly not cleaned before handover.
Major issues we faced include:
1. FAECES AND WORMS IN TOILET: One toilet had faeces and live worms in it, and the flush did not work. Despite repeated complaints, no one came to clean it. We had to do it ourselves because it was unlivable.
2. NO KEYS PROVIDED for the balcony, the main downstairs entrance, or kitchen windows, meaning there is NO VENTILATION and FIRE EXITS ARE INACCESSIBLE, creating a serious safety hazard.
3. A bag of trash was left outside before our move-in and ignored for days, leading to a major ANT INFESTATION.
4. A council inspector found MOULD under the shower sink, stating the property should not have been rented in this condition. The repair will take about a week, and this is the ONLY SHOWER in the property. The agency’s response? A £160 “compensation” split between three tenants and a suggestion to use public gym showers in the meantime.
We paid SIX MONTHS’ RENT UPFRONT and even offered more than required, yet received no professionalism, no responsibility, and no respect. After months of complaints and follow-ups, we recently found out that our property manager had been changed without informing us, which explains the complete lack of response.
This entire experience has been UNPROFESSIONAL, UNETHICAL, AND CARELESS from start to finish.
DO NOT RENT THROUGH JOHNS & CO. Save yourself the stress, frustration, and disappointment we’ve experienced.

Living without heating during winter is unacceptable. Communication has been slow and unhelpful, and no clear timeline or solution has been provided.
This level of service shows a lack of responsibility and care for tenants. I would not recommend this agency.

Despite positioning themselves as market leaders offering 5 star service in our first call, as a justification for their suprisingly high fees, the subsequent experience has been everything but that. Unresponsive at the best of times, misrepresentation of the propert to prospective tenants, and completely inflexible. If you are a landlord looking to rent your property, I would strongly recommend avoiding Johns&Co at all costs.
