Awful Service and communication!!!

We sent an enquiry to Michael graham in Towcester relating to a property in Greens Norton, Northants we were interested in viewing. After 2 days passing with zero contact I e-mailed them again and this time a member of their team 'condescended' to call back. he had no interest in arranging a viewing instead informing us that they had already had 'multiple viewings' on the property and various offers none of which had yet been accepted!! he also said that as a few of the viewers were in better positions than us to proceed it wasn't really worth our while viewing. So he didn't want us to view a property that had no accepted offers on it and we are selling a large home worth way more than the listing with no mortgage!! He asked no questions about our circumstances and I get the opinion MG see themselves as a bit up market who don't really have to try to hard with their exclusive clientele

It was refreshing to meet an individual who genuinely took an active interest in the process and stayed focused and committed through to completion. The service experienced from Ben was first class.

Good at taking your money, woeful at looking after your interests

Regrettably I let a property “fully managed” through Michael Graham, paying the high fees believing their promises of looking after my interests better than their competitors.They watched over the property as things went missing and were damaged, telling me everything was ok, some of the above being documented with photos, but not acted on whilst the tenant was in situ.Once said tenant had left, all I was left with was the deposit and no constructive assistance from Michael Graham.In the aftermath dealing with the state the property had been left in, I found them to be arrogant, inept and unprofessionalI for one would never again entertain them managing my property, id go elsewhere or do it myself, as I am now

Unprofessional

Terrible communication, a can't be bothered attitude. Jaded approach, complete lack of enthusiasm made the whole experience very frustrating. They take 1.25% plus vat if successful and for that large sum of money put very little effort in. Cancelled our contract after 6 months. Could make a large list of things that were wrong or didn't happen but following their lead, can't be bothered.

Underwhelming in the extreme

The communication throughout the transaction was infrequent, generally one way and very little in the way of information was provided. Most of the communication was made directly with the buyers and after being initially impressed withe the initial presentation we severely regret choosing Michael Graham as our experience was extremely disappointing. The marketing materials were good but other than that we struggle to understand what value they added to the whole transaction. We made all of the arrangements for the handover directly with the buyers and in the 4 weeks leading up to our move did not have any contact whatsoever with Michael Graham. The agent turned up (unannounced) for two minutes on handover put his hand out and said “keys” which just about summed up the lack of care and attention to detail we experienced every step of the way.It seems complacency has well and truly set in. No follow up has ensued post sale let alone a “thank you for the business”. We regret choosing Michael Graham and will certainly not be recommending them to friends and family.

No chance of viewing a property

We have tried on three occasions to book viewings for two properties they are marketing on Right Move. Each time we have had our name and phone number taken, first time we were advised that their systems were down, the second and third time we were just advised someone would call us back. We advised that we had already left messages and no one had called us back, but this did not make any difference. It is no wonder their properties seem to be on the market for some time, no one wants you to view them! Hope vendors who use this agency are aware of this. Given up with this agency now and are now dealing with agencies that are more pro-active and want to sell properties. This message refers to the Towcester branch.

A process made impossible due to their…

A process made impossible due to their poor sales skills, bad communication, dishonesty and appalling ignorance from management.We had agreed a sale on a property, out of the blue deep into the process when the things were moving along the agents rang up to say the sale is cancelled with no reason.If things weren’t so bad on their incompetence, then they rub salt into the wounds by selling the same property we agreed to buy to someone else for a lower price? Kind of at a loss at how bad this organisation is as you really can’t make up what they did… which cost us time and money.A disreputable business... one that had pleaded to have the original negative feedback removed, however in light of what has happened and the total ignorance from compliance manager, general manager… This will be a permanent feedback as they will not get away with their abhorrent behaviour.ABSOLUTELY stay away from this business, they can’t handle what they claim… trust me as I speak with experience that there are genuine sound estate agents out there and Michael Graham is not one of them.

Not well represented and dreadful sale process

We sold our property via the stony strafford branch recently. We must say that we are totally disappointed with the service we received. First, we felt under represented by the sale agent. She occasionally undermined our property from its location to the condition of the property even though our property is still within the NHBC warranty and built by a well known developer. Second, the vetting of the buyer is very poor. We were told at the eleven hour that the buyer is not able to afford the initial asking price after 5 months into the process. This leaves us no other choice but to meet half way with the buyer as we were very close to completing our new property purchase. Third, the sale agent constantly bother us to provide information to the buyer's solicitor even though it was clear that the buyer's solicitor has been very slow to response. Our solicitor has a transparent event logging system so we can see how quickly they have responded but the sales agent doesn't seems to understand it. Fourth, on the completion date, the sale agent kept asking if we are going to drop the keys at the office as though we have a choice. We don't understand why she kept asking the same question and refusing to meet us at the property.To be fair, the initial meeting with the senior manager has given us confident that we are in good hand however the sale agent who took over just made the whole process dreadful and painful to go through. We have used other local agencies before in previous sales and they have exhibit a much higher professionalism. We were definitely better represented by them achieving the asking price we wanted. We will not recommend this agency to anyone we knew. Paying more doesn't always mean you get the best value.

Michael Graham couldnt even be bothered to come to the phone when we rang them with a new listing, when we asked to speak to an agent, we were told 'give us your address, we ll send you some terms and conditions over' by a person answering the phone. They must have so much business they dont need any more

Having had several atrocious experiences with high street estate agents in the past when selling investment properties, we swore we would never use one again. Our vendors had used Michael Graham in Towcester and the agent, Ben who sold us our house, I can honestly say is a refreshing change to the often realised stereotype estate agent. He always acted professionally and with integrity going above and beyond what was required. Considering that we were not even clients of Michael Graham, we felt that we received a wonderful, attentive and polite service, and we would consider using them in the future, which is a statement we thought we'd never make about a high street estate again.
