GoogleI can not thank Emma at Gargan and Hart enough. I received a section 21 to leave my current home and while many other letting agents didn't return my calls or emails, Emma and her team went above and beyond to help me find a new home for myself and my daughter. They have kept me informed and at ease through the whole process and offered me viewings on properties as soon as they became available. I have now secured a property and aim to move in a couple of weeks. Thank you ever so much for all of your help and assistance.

GoogleAttended an appointment to view a property this morning in which we were turned away because we didn't have "face coverings or gloves". The agent stated it was "Government guidelines", however when we advised we had viewed a number of propertys, adhering to strict social distancing and the no touch rule and were sure the PPE Rule was not fact. Funny enough we checked government guidelines and no such suggestion exists. The worst bit being the property was vacant and no chain. As a member of NHS clinical staff, I can assure you Gargan and Hart that your PPE use is clearly not doing you any favours, the dust mask you were wearing is not capable of filtering particulates and the gloves only remind you of infection risk, they do not reduce contact risks. Congratulations, you have lost a property purchase. Stay safe 👏 ** In response to your reply, I have checked the "agreement" you suggested we signed, however I cannot locate any actual signature or acknowledgement request, just a questionaire without any real significantly important nature to it. Clearly a poor attempt at "abiding" to the made up legislation your employee suggested he was working too. I would have been more than happy to return, with PPE that actually works but the attitude of your employee put us off. We do not line the pockets of persons who provide poor customer service. Please understand that the safety of our staff, vendors and viewers is of paramount importance during these uncertain times and we have decided to protect ourselves and those we come into contact with by wearing appropriate face coverings and gloves. We made you aware - prior to the appointment - what our company policy is and you signed and returned a health questionnaire to us confirming that you understood what both yours and our requirements were for viewing properties through Gargan & Hart. Yes, the property you wanted to view was empty, but we had people following your viewing and we would have been putting them at risk. No one since the lockdown has objected to our request for gloves/face covering and we find it strange, given the fact that you work for the NHS, that you would react in this way to a something that we consider so important. We would love to show you the property at some point but please respect the wishes of both ourselves and the owners of the properties we are entering into during these challenging times. I can’t fault Clare & the team at Gargantuas & Hart, despite problems with the purchase (not down to them) the team kept me up today’s with what what going on. They also managed to facilitate the move during Covid 19 so I could move away from my parents who were at high risk whilst I remained working as a key worker.

GoogleI made a pre application for a one bedroom apartment for me & my 6 month old baby. I was emailed back a response explaining that I wasn’t eligible due to the the fact I’m in receipt of universal credit. I called the office and spoke with Emma she told me that the landlords insurance does not cover benefits. I then went on to tell Emma that she was unlawfully discriminating against me for being in receipt of a benefit. Under the equality act 2010 I was also lied to I was told the property was no longer available. That same property a week later is still being advertised on there website. Not only is this agency lying to people but they’ve broken the law.NegativeQuality, Professionalism

GoogleDue to family problems I had to flee & had to rely on benefits until it was safe for me to reside back to work. I made an enquiry about a one bedroom flat that I was quite interested in viewing. In response to my pre Application I was emailed back by a lady called Emma who is the (manager) stating that I was not eligible because I was in Receipt of a benefit. I had been advised by citizens advice bureau that in actual fact this agency have been breaking the law! I told Emma my concerns regarding the fact she had unlawfully discriminated against me under the Equality act 2010 I got a very snobby response back that she was busy and slammed the phone down on me. At this point I was in tears I felt completely alone. I think the the hardest part was I tried to open up to Emma about my abusive husband but I had a very unwelcoming response that she was busy. I feel helpless to say the least. I was treated with very little respect I’ve always worked very hard I’m a critical care nurse but due to circumstances I had to leave.NegativeProfessionalism
