My property has been in the hands of AshtonBurkinshaw since 2002 (Douglas Rogers at the time) for renting out, over nearly 20 years. I would like to thank all the staff who have taken care of the property, the tenants, and myself over these years. As far as I remember there has never been a hitch and any works to be carried out on the property were taken on with responsible companies. There was barely a time when there were no tenants, and AB were prompt in keeping it occupied and under control. I wish I could give the ladies 10 stars! Emma and Lauren were absolutely amazing when it came to finding my family the perfect home in Tonbridge. Emma was the first estate agent that I felt genuinelly cared and was accomodating of our circumstances. She was extremely professional, friendly and went over and above to ensure we secured the property we were after. Dealing with Lauren was also a joy. I have let my property in Maidstone through Ashton Burkinshaw three times. I have always found them to be highly responsive and professional and have found good tenants. Luke Wilday who dealt with the latest re-let has been absolutely fantastic. He had found a tenant within two hours of the property being re-marketed, referencing was done quickly, and the new tenant moved in almost immediately after the previous one vacated, resulting in zero avoidable void days. Myself & my partner had been wanting to move house, however because of personal circumstances, we kept putting it off for about a year, due to being worried about added stresses. This was until we had fallen in love with a house that we now live in.. Emma (Tonbridge branch) had been (and continues to be) such an amazing help. We've been looked after so well from the start, during & after our move. We've never experienced such a 'stress free' move! Communication is always on point, any questions or queries we have had has always been dealt with immediately, & never have we felt like a 'burden' when we've enquired about something. I've never seen a company speak so highly of their company, & their landlords which made us put all our faith into them, very professional! I would highly recommend! We have told all our friends & family about how amazing Ashton Burkinshaw has been, & especially how helpful, + wonderful Emma has been. Agency team - the local team: 5 stars The team was very responsive and attentive. The processes were easy to get through. The team was accomodating in terms of organising subsequent visits to prepare for the move. They left a thoughtful welcome package. Even after signature they were there to help and move things forward. The reputation of their business and the satisfaction of their customers is very important. Central teams: 0 stars, terrible. This is the team that is responsible for everything post signature and getting the contracts out. That team is unresponsive, does everything last minute or only when pushed directly and with intensity. Some reviews on here talk about getting the contract last minute. Not surprising. The central team sat on the contract for two weeks only to issue something with a bog-standard copy/paste job with typos and inaccuracies. The central team organised the inventory last minute and it wasn't in any way throrough. No professional clean organised either. The central team did not proactively flag evident and urgent repairs (broken appliances, structuralky compromised furniture, security concerns...) to the owner. When repairs were finally organised it was only thanks to the local agency team's intervention with the central teams. And even then the repairs were half way done and the property wasn't up to a good rentable standard. The local agency team (and tenants, and landlords) would be better served by a different central team.
