Prior to putting our property on the market, we approached a number of local agents. I think B&S are running a good operation in Shoreditch. There have been a couple of times in the past when service response times and staff turnover have led to some issues and frustrations, however there certainly has been some tightening up of that in the past 6 months. Melisha has been particularly friendly, professional and responsive, so a positive shout out to her. Keep up the good work.

Everyone at Butler and Stag has been great to work with. They both sold our house and sold us a house which made the whole experience as good as it can be. I was told one thing and the small print says something different. You still have to pay even if they do not sell your property. _____ update_____I would like to add that this reply from B&S entirely misses the point.I appreciate that costs are involved. It is completely unfair that you charge a fee (a hefty £600!!!) when there has been no sale. However if this is how you work, so be it. The issue is that verbally upon instruction we were told "no sale, no fee". Only to find out 2 months after our contract term ended that you are now chasing me for a payment. The fact it has taken 2 months is proof that even some of Butler and Stag themselves do not know about this ridiculous cost. I am so incredibly disappointed with this service. To be misled in such a way is disgusting.We did not terminate the contract early. We also did not engage any other agent whilst in contract with B&S. We were quite simply misled because what we were told differed from the small print. I do appreciate that we signed the contract and should have noticed this but equally such a big cost should have been made very clear upfront.We were also told that the contract term was 12 weeks only to find out it is actually 16. Again, this is not too much of an issue of itself (though it is long). The problem is that we were told something different.My advice to others - enter with eyes wide open.-- update 23/2-----B&S have now fully resolved my complaint. I found the director to be reasonable, patient and understanding. I sent a very long email which I wasn't sure would be read because I'm sure he is very busy but was pleasantly surprised by a very fast response. He said that customer satisfaction is taken very seriously by B&S and proved this much through the positive resolution.

Exceptional service!

Butler & Stag were the selling agents for my flat and were excellent throughout the marketing phase, keeping my updated of viewings and expertly negotiating offers. Once we had accepted an offer, Helga was instrumental in moving both the sale and purchase forward, through what was a very difficult transaction. It was all done with a positive attitude and Helga was always available in and out of office hours to provide updates and answer any and all queries. Genuinely don’t think the whole process would have been a success without Helga’s tenacity. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

We've just exchanged on a property bought through Butler & Stag - the service has been first-class. We mainly dealt with Charlie Parsons, whose knowledge of the area and the local property market is exceptional, and he couldn't have been more supportive or patient as we were viewing houses. Since we had an offer accepted, he's been the perfect middleman - everyone in the chain needed to get the move done pretty quickly, and he really drove it forward. Would definitely recommend Butler & Stagg

After an unsuccessful house hunt with another well known agent we registered with Butler & Stagg. Their enthusiastic approach made us feel that we could get our dream home after many months of fruitless searching. Athos was brilliant and his confidence that he would help us to achieve our move galvanised us. They dealt with both the sale of our old home and the purchase of of our new house. Although our sale wasn’t as straightforward as we would have hoped, he was there to reassure us that he would get the sale over the line and he was as good as his word. He was always a phone call away, at all hours, to deal with any issues or to offer advice. I must also mention Aiden who did our original viewing of our new home and Oliver who did many viewings for the sale of our house as they were always prompt and gave us continual feedback. Beth also was quick to respond to any queries. We finally received the keys to our new home last month and I’m not sure that it would have happened without the team at Butler & Stagg who made it all possible. We can’t thank them enough and would definitely recommend.

I was recommended Butler & Stag by my brother. As they have representation in East London as well, it felt like the prefect fit for me. Impressive agent right from the initial meeting and valuation with Tony Game. My negotiators Chris and Bradley were as passionate about my house as I am and respected all the work that had been done to the property. My photographs were by far the best I’ve seen from an agent. They captured the cottage perfectly and of course this then produced positive interest on Rightmove and from their client base. Leading to a great offer and sale in 4 weeks. Really pleased I chose one of their preferred solicitors. They put me at ease immediately and made the whole process a pleasure. Amanda Schiavi at B&S manages the relationship between seller, buyer and solicitor to get to exchange and completion. We instantly connected and I always felt confident my house sale was in very efficient hands. I was selling the house on my own and from instruction to completion. Butler and Stagg 5 Stars Plus!

Having met Milo O’Neill at the property valuation I immediately liked him and trusted him. This gave me confidence in Butler and Stagg and appointed them to market our property. Milo explained the process and assured me they would sell the house from an open house viewing day. Butler and Stagg did not disappointment. Charlie Parsons, property consultant, who you cannot fail to like, showed the property all day and kept me informed of how the viewings were going. By the end of the day there were several interested parties. A few days later Charlie and Milo had the buyer confirmed and in legals. Charlie was in direct contact with the buyers and kept me updated but I never felt any pressure. The whole Butler and Stagg team, Milo, Charlie, Ella and Amanda, were proactive, personable, comprehensible, confident and totally reliable. Our sale took under 9 weeks from the open to completion. Selling a property is usually a stressful task but not in this case, choosing Butler and Stagg to sell our property was an excellent decision and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
