Terrible experience from Josh at the…

Terrible experience from Josh at the Woolston branch. Very keen to be my best friend to get me to book viewings but making an offer was very different. I made an offer and increased twice. I didn't hear from him for a week despite numerous calls and emails. He then called out of the blue to say my offer was accepted. 3 hours later and after I had started setting up my solicitor and mortgage he called back to say it wasn't his fault and he didn't want to start a bidding war but that's exactly what he did. He called the others to tell them they weren't successful but then accepted a higher offer from them. Typical estate agent, plenty of lies but no morals and very immature.

We have just completed on our first property through Morris Dibben and as a FTB, I cannot rate them enough. Jack, Tom & Mike were always on hand to provide us with ongoing updates and to help us with any queries we had during the process. They all made the house buying process seamless and I can tell they really work hard in order to take the stress away from their customers. Unreliable sales

I had an agent to value my property to sell and find me an alternative property to purchase. The agent sent me his evaluation and also said he would be in touch to discuss my decision after I study the evaluation. He did not call me for a few weeks and then, I decided to call him. I explained that I had decided to sell and gave him my referred the area and type of property that I wanted to purchase. He said, he would call me back in a few hours as he was driving and not to believe in what people say about the unreliability of the sales agents. Well, I didn’t have to hear it from people as I experienced the unreliability of the agent myself. That was about two months ago. Never heard from him, and my principal would not allow me to call or walk to the office, which was located a few hundred yards from me. My intention was to sell and buy two other properties. Perhaps the company has a good reputation, but sales agents as such would definitely create a shadow on the reliability of the company. I don’t blame the company entirely, but it would certainly lead me to believe that there is a lack of internal quality control and auditing system in place. In these cases, customers don’t lose but the companies’ do.

Very unprofessional with communication

Very unprofessional with communication, one staff member Daisy B. was very rude on the phone, didn’t care, was abrupt and dismissive. Throughout the whole process she didn’t even care and I sensed some form of discrimination and unfair process. They can do better but it seems like from other reviews this is an ongoing and well established pattern of behaviour with this particular agency. I would avoid at all cost!

We had a viewing at a property over the weekend with Austin from the Romsey branch. That day we viewed 7 different properties with 5 different Estate Agents. Austin was the last Estate Agent that we saw that day. He was by far the most polite Agent we dealt with. He knew all about the property and the area, he’d certainly done his homework. He was able to answer every question that we had, unlike all of the other Agents we had dealt with. We were treated as humans and not numbers. Every other Estate Agent we had dealt with on that day had been rushed and just wanted us in and out of their properties. Austin was very professional. If all Estate Agents took as much pride in their job as he did on Saturday the house viewing process could be so much better and stress free. I honestly can't recommend Zoe and the team at Morris Dibben highly enough. To say they have gone over and above is an understatement, they genuinely care about their clients and it's so refreshing. When my Mum was unwell they kept in touch with me to ask about her progress and even offered to check in on her to make sure she was ok! And they did all this at a time when they couldn't actively market the property we had engaged them to sell, so they had absolutely no vested interest in helping out and no prospect of an upcoming sale. Having used another agent previously (with whom the sale fell through) we decided to go 'multi-agency' and didn't look back. The Morris Dibben team at Romsey sales have been amazing. They were honest from the start, called and messaged for each viewing, gave weekly calls and emails on our progress, and gave suggestions on how to make our house more sellable. They arranged a 3D photo session for the house to better show it on their website and on 3rd party websites. Once we had a credible offer, the team kept us up to date, chased our solicitors and the buyers solicitors as well as kept a chat between us and the buyers regular, sorting out minor queries. The price was reasonable overall and for the amount of effort they put in, it seemed a great deal. I would recommend Morris Dibben Romsey to friends and family, and would use them again myself. Thanks to team!
