Been with William h brown for about 7 months now, Tom and olly have been amazing throughout I had issues with my old place and they helped and support me throughout it all, they knew me and my friend were young adults and we don’t know everything about moving houses and what to say but they have been so patient and understanding, me and my friend wanted to stay with William h brown when we was finding a new property because I knew we would be able to stay with Tom and olly, they even helped us get the house we’re in now! and I’ve been so grateful with it all, fast replies, always checking up to see how we’re doing in our new property, all around both lovely gents, I’m very happy to stay with William h brown as long as I possibly can! Thank you Tom and Olly for everything you’ve done for us!

William H Brown Clacton took on a rental property of mine around two months ago after promising the best service and having tenants ready to move in. There was no inspection done prior to move in date, in fact the inspection was being done as the new tenant moved in. The hose was not fit to be rented out and required substantial cleaning. As I live abroad, there was no way of me knowing that. Allowing a tenant to move in to a dirty house is absolutely unacceptable. They then argued with us that the previous management company was to blame, then tried to blame me. While this back and forth was happening, the tenant had to arrange their own professional clean, as WHB didn't even bother to do this. There have been a number of other issues that we have tried to contact them about, with total radio silence. Living in the other side of the world means phoning during business hours is difficult, but every email has been left unanswered. I would 100% avoid William H Brown for rental management, and would like to hear from them about these issues.

Where do I start, Dave found me my perfect flat, Izzy showed me round, I fell in love with it and it is ideal for my needs, James was very helpful whenever I went in. Have just rented out my property in Clacton and was aided by mostly Oli and a few conversations with Tom.After finding my Tenant I was dealt with very efficiently and professionally. When Oli was not available and I left a message, all my calls were returned promptly by Tom and normally Oli would make a curtesy call afterwards. Throughout my time finding a property, I was helped by Oliver and Thomas. Oliver was very helpful with the initial phase and what I needed to do to ensure all steps were correctly taken and gave some lovely advice when I was stuck with Affinity Water. Thomas, who was the main person who dealt with me, was fantastic and patient as we had a few hiccups that needed to be sorted and pushed back the move in date. Gave me what I needed in terms of info little bits but helpful to ensure a smooth move in process and setting up utilities etc. Lovely guy and gave me options whatever it was and was good to see a variety of options to choose from for our stuff related to a new home. William h brown took over our rental property in Clacton at the beginning of the year, and I have to say right from the beginning Tom and Oliver, have been absolutely brilliant. We had a carbon monoxide leak in our property from our boiler and within 3 days the old boiler had been replaced with a brand new boiler. Oliver kept me updated the entire time of the progress and arranged for everything to be sorted so quickly. Both Oliver and Tom generally cannot do enough for you and go the extra length to make sure everything is sorted quickly as possible. Never had an estate agent who is willing to do so much, so extremely grateful.

PLEASE STEER WELL CLEAR!!

Poor communication, false promises from sales, lettings and mortgage services. Started off great but once they've had your money they don't care about resolving any issues. Don't bother with the lifetime membership as you'll have to do all the work yourself. Don't bother with management services for letting a property either, they won't tell you about any problems and they'll let your tenants damage your property and steal from you without any reconciliation measures or compensation. I sold my flat over a year ago and I'm still battling with them and the Zero Deposit scheme to compensate me for my property being stolen and damage that I paid to fix for the new owner out of my own pocket. PLEASE STEER CLEAR, SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE!!
