We chose Robert Cooney as we preferred to work with a local independent business rather than a corporate chain. The initial marketing was handled well, with excellent photographs. We had an offer from the second people to view which was terrific. When we had issues with the upward chain Sarah stepped in and went above and beyond to ensure that we completed when we needed to. Rohini has also been an excellent point of contact.

Cooney won our business to sell a Taunton property over several competitors by demonstrating an impressive capability not least in the clarity of its offering (it understands very well which are the important factors and is organized to deliver on those), its insight and understanding of the local market that enabled it to devise a compellingly convincing sales strategy that led to numerous “best and final” offers being received two weeks after launch, its prompt responsiveness and clear, timely messaging assisted by its skilled use of technology, and a highly proficient and sustained sales progression process that added much value to the transaction. Contract documentation was clear, concise and contained all that was necessary and sufficient, without imposing unneeded conditions. All of the Cooney staff were engaged, knowledgeable, pleasant and ready and willing to help with any matter. We consider that we could not have placed our business in better hands and remain very pleased that we engaged this firm.

Everyone at Robert Cooney's have been brilliant helping out with a joint purchase we made which is a first for me. When viewing the house, they were honest and knowledgeable about the house to the best they could do and when they didn't know answers, they worked it out in front of me. During the process of the purchase, they have been really efficient with no hanging around. They were fast at responses, proactive and great at chasing up on people. Customer service and manner on the phone was very professional too and they were helpful when I couldn't reach someone. On particular staff member was really morally supportive on the day I tried but failed to get a mortgage and lost the place to another buyer. Then the house returned and we tried again with a different plan and got through and they shared the joy with us until the end. It was such a stressful thing to do, but the team were always there to help. Thank you.

We have purchased three properties marketed by Robert Cooney Taunton and have to say that they have the balance absolutely right - they get things done without being pushy, they keep you fully informed at all stages and they don't hesitate to smooth wrinkles and sort out small issues before they grow. Having a sales progression team helps, but the sales team also keep a close eye on deals to make sure all goes smoothly, an attitude I have found sadly lacking in several other estate agents in the past, both big names and small. The Taunton team are outstanding.

Gail progressed the sale and excelled in every way. I wanted to view a apartment in Taunton. Before viewing a property - the estate agents wanted to provide all personal details including salary to landlord. I have no idea how my data is going to be handled with them passing onto another party - they clearly are not following strict coherence to GDPR which is designed to minimise data handling. I would understand some details and even them knowing affordability, but not salary being passed on prior to a viewing. I spoke with Anisha and was shocked at the unprofessionalism and processes of the company. Completely unwilling to accept they should not be passing salary details prior to a viewing. This is the only estate agents which does this in Taunton - I am already renting from an estate agent who would not pass salary onto to a landlord prior to agreement to application or viewing, and have checked with a friend who solicits. Any normal estate agent would allow a viewing prior to supplying landlord/owner with all background including salary on application. I have raised this concern to the property redress and property ombudsman. I strongly avoid caution with the procedures and handling of personal data with Robert Cooney Taunton, who take no responsibility.NegativeQuality, Professionalism

The whole team at Robert Cooneys have been wonderful throughout the entire process. We were immediately put at ease by their professionalism on the first visit and they knew all the questions to ask to make the exchange of contracts smoother. They were always friendly and returned calls quickly and were happy to answer any and all enquiries. During the actual sale process they kept us informed at all times of what was happening and we were particularly impressed with their progression team, who kept on top of us, our buyers and both sets of solicitors to ensure as smooth a process as possible.
