From the first moment I started to interact with the staff of Robert Cooney, in Taunton, I knew I had made the right choice. They dealt with me from 3,500 miles away, and a 5 hour time difference effortlessly. They dealt sensitively to my circumstance, they kept me informed and up to date and they did it with humour and professionalism. I would recommend them whole heartedly to anyone looking for an exceptional buying or selling experience. I know they are a fabulous team, but I have to individually thank Gail and Sarah for all they did, they were quite wonderful!

We recently used Robert Cooney to sell our house. Gail was prompt to come round and appraise our property, She was friendly, knowledgeable and gave a clear indication to the process. This was the first time we have marketed a property. We sold the house within a month and can't fault the fact they found our buyers. However we found the sales progression experience frustrating. Technically we had one sales progressor, but in reality we rarely dealt with that team member and got inconsistent messages from different members of staff, with no clarity to why we weren't dealing specifically with our designated progressor. This led to us having to deal with our conveyancer to chase up how the chain was progressing personally and relying on the estate agent from our onward purchase to keep the chain intact by dealing with our vendors when the chain wobbled. On the days after exchange leading to completition Robert Cooney didn't get in contact to go over any procedures- we had to ring and ask what we needed to do in regards to keys and handover. This left us feeling a little abandoned.

To All @ Robert Cooney For the entire duration re marketing and selling of my property, The whole team at RC were nothing short of exemplary. Owing to the rather challenging economic situation ( we all needed nerves of steel ) over the past 6 months or so. Throughout this time, it was Sarah who led the way, demonstrated an amazing level of commitment and determination to get this over the line. This sale would have fallen of a cliff without the dedication from Sarah [ Sales progressor] Exceptional speedy communication was the key to keep us [ buyer and seller ] together in what was in the end an extremely tense deadline [ Must add Maitland & Walker were outstanding too ] They [ RC ] were courteous, responsive and unfailing professional at all times. I definitely recommend R Cooney to every and anyone wanting to sell their property. The entire Sales Team were consistently helpful, professional and diligent, keeping me updated and patiently addressing my various queries. In particular I'd like to highly (5*****) commend: Gail Durbin, and Sarah Hallsworth who genuinely treated me as their priority. (I had already had the wonderful services of Gail for two other properties, a few years before; thus, I knew I'd be in the best of hands). Gail even found me a good builder, when one was needed, (and, as I was, living far away from Taunton) following a survey report! Unfortunately I had a terrible…

Unfortunately I had a terrible experience with Connels. I was first advised to auction my house for a speedy sale. Although I did want a quick sale, they did not explain the implications in terms of fees and selling price. When I called, no one one would answer or return the call. The onus was always on me to get feedback from viewings. I changed estate agent as Connels lost a sale - they told me they gave up trying to contact the potential buyer as they didn't get through to him after a couple of attempts and they just assumed if he was still interested he would be in touch. When I changes, someone who viewed the house called the new estate agent to enquire. Obviously, they were not able to have a second viewing but explained to the new estate agent that Connels did not answer any of their questions and did not show the house properly.

Don’t let or Buy the property in Alton Mews Aylesbury, HP19 8JZ.Be careful if you’re still going ahead with this property.The property is poorly built and the painting and the electrical works are of very poor quality. I would have given 0 rating if possible. If you have gone through them for letting and if you have paid some deposit, you are never going to get any money back. I paid £1146 as deposit and stayed there for 10 months. It was very new property. Already there were marks on the bathroom floor of paints, and in checkout they have mentioned as the floors are not cleaned though it was given back in exact condition i got. They conducted the checkout without my presence. The bulbs keeps flashing even after changing them already 3 times in last 10 months. our property was in the ground floor, so due to the moisture the walls were getting moulded regularly even after cleaning. The edges of every walls were showing wear and tear due to the poor quality of painting. The property was handed over well cleaned and they haven’t returned me a single penny as they say it requires deep cleaning. I wasted my 2 days to clean them. Deduction of some amount is acceptable, but whole amount for due to the poor quality of the building is not acceptable at all. Rubbish customer service and Mr Alexander was of no help

Robert Cooney and ||Co. have now sold 2 houses in the last 6 months for me and I feel qualified to be able to offer a reasonable review of their services. The whole team are very knowledgable and go above and beyond what most agents will offer, to push the sale through. Sadly my 2nd house was held up by a hugely inefficient buyers solicitor and lender, who, between them managed to extend the time of the sale from when we agreed a deal to exchange of contracts, by 6 months. I can only admire Sarah Hallsworth for her tenacity in chasing all parties almost daily, until the deal finally went through. Thank you Sarah. To show my confidence in the firm, I have just lodged two more investment properties with them, and within days they have found a serious potential buyer for each and we are currently negotiating. Terrible exerience with Connels

I am not sure if all estate agents are money grabbing, corner cutting vultures but my experience with Connels Worcester has been horrible. They ofcourse charged me with a £600 tenant finder fee, and have convinced me that the zero deposit scheme will ensure if there are any damages to the property they will be paid by the tenant(s). Ofcourse the apartment was left in shambles despite having regular inspection visits at my request and the repairs done to the flat were horrible. I would recommend finding a different management company to manage your property if you cant do it yourself. Absolute livid by their horrible service

AVOID!!!!! These are the worst solicitors to use for buying and selling your property. They are unprofessional, rude, accept no responsibility when things go wrong and speak to you in a derogatory tone, like your an inconvenience for asking for an update.Poor communication with internal departments and actually bad mouth their own solicitors! Do not speak to external companies to chase enquiries, or update them. Everything is done via email, no personal touch. Dismiss your complaints and bully/threaten you when you question things.Increase fees which they don't tell you about or ask you to authorise then refuse to explain them when you receive your final bill.The list is endless!
