Some things never change - still shoddy

Some things never change. We bought our house through Bridgfords 5 years ago- not a good experience. They don’t answer the phone or answer emails. Today, as we’ve decided to sell the house, I thought to myself "maybe they’ve changed." I’ve called them 4 X, each time being redirected to an answering machine.I’ve emailed them and no reply. A continuation of a shoddy service continues. The 2 other estate agents I’ve contacted have replied more or less straight away and visits have been arranged. I honestly don’t know how Bridgfords survives in the current economic climate.

2 month+ deposit return delay

I rented a property managed by Bridgfords and moved out two months ago. I still have not received my deposit back. Since moving out, I have called and emailed the branch multiple times to follow up. My calls have been hung up on, and my emails have gone unanswered. For an agency that expects tenants to meet strict deadlines and requirements throughout the tenancy, this level of service at the end of the process has been disappointing. I would think carefully before renting through Bridgfords based on this experience.

This is the first time I’ve rented out a property, bridgfords are managing my property and have been very helpful giving me all the help and advise I’ve needed especially big thank you to Charles waring who’s been at the end of the phone whenever I’ve needed to ask any questions or need advice about anything. I recently engaged with Bridgfords to sell my home. The property initially went on the market in May, but the sale fell through in October. The property was re-listed the same day, and a new buyer was secured within 5 days thanks to the quick action of Ryan and the team. The second sale went through in 55 days and I cannot thank Ryan, Chloe, and Adam enough. We had been given a deadline from the vendors of our new property and were also tied to a mortgage offer that was set to run out in January 2023. The team made it their mission to help us complete on 16th December. I received daily calls and updates, informative instructions, and the support they gave our first time buyers was over and above- helping them with their mortgage documentation and even driving their signed deeds over to their solicitor an hour away due to postal strikes. All because they were aware of the urgency and wanted to help us move. Both Chole and Ryan were on the receiving end of a couple of irate phone calls, for which I am truly sorry. Both dealt with them professionally and calmly and were able to instil trust and confidence that I was in safe hands. Although I never want to move again, if I were to, I wouldn't hesitate to use the Denton team again. We had previously had a bad experience with a competitor agent and I can categorically say that any pre-conceptions about estate agents were un-founded where the Denton team are concerned. I went for a local estate agents over an online one as I wanted local expertise and hopefully a good price and a quick sale. I got a great price and a quick sale. Chloe, Adam and Ryan were superb. They kept in touch with me throughout the selling process and everything went very smoothly (property was sold in less than three months without going to market - the estate agents’ contacts were enough for a private viewing with several great offers coming in). Would highly recommend.

The team at Bridgfords work effortlessly for you. You pay for what get, although not the cheapest, when selling you want it done properly. Very informative valuation with great stats and information about the market. Photos arranged and on the market. If offers do not come in quickly they evaluate the situation and give good honest feedback. Once offers were made, buyers are qualified so no time wasters. Then the stress starts with solicitors. This is where Ryan and the team really stepped up. They kept in constant contact with all parties to ensure you are updated at all times. It sometimes felt they were doing work for the solicitors, mortgage advisors, banks and estate agents all in one. We also bought our new house through Bridgfords and cannot fault them. Yes we could have chosen a cheaper option but this can cost you in the long run, both financially and stress. What you need is to sell and buy with an agent that knows what they are doing and care about getting everything over the line. They are polite, have lots of patience and knowledgeable. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending Bridgfords. they do the job professionally and do what it takes and really work hard for you. You really do get value for the fee you pay. Thank you to Ryan and the whole team for keeping us sane during what was a stressful 6 Months. We are now very happy in our new home and sold our old home hassle free. Don't hesitate, just trust what these guys do for you, you won't regret it.

I can honestly not thank Stephanie and Megan enough. They have been truly amazing. More dealings with Stephanie but Megan also helped. Stephanie was amazing from the start, very caring and lovely. She bent over backwards to get this all through so quickly. Thanks ladies I feel like I have 2 new best friends both welcome for a brew any time. Thanks for giving me and my daughter a lovely home, where we needed it, which allowed me to keep my best mate too(dog) as it can be so hard to find houses that will let you keep your pets.

We cannot fault the service we've received from Bridgfords throughout the duration of our house sale. Adam was our first point of contact when he came to do our property valuation & set our level of expectation perfectly. Throughout the duration of our sale, Chloe & Ryan were on hand at every opportunity to provide regular updates & assistance, which in turn ensured our property sold in 75 days. Due to requiring a short term let, Steph, Meg & Charles were there to help secure the property towards the end of the transaction. 1 Star is too many stars in my opinion...

I approached Bridgfords and Michael Poole last year to see about selling my late fathers Bungalow. I found their sales tactics to be a bit off, immediately trying to upsell me services I personally felt had no value, insisting it would make every difference. I begged to differ and having a bad gut feeling about them and a positive experience with Michael Poole I chose Michael Poole instead. Then came the phone calls trying to get me to switch and saying they would do a better job. After the second phone call I made it clear I was definitely not going to change my mind and asked them to remove my number from their records and not call me again. I received several other phone calls 2 or 3 weeks apart from each other and after repeatedly asking them to not call me again, the final call I received I told them (not very nicely) that if they contacted me one more time I would report them to the police for harassment as I had made it clear on several occasions I didn't want them to contact me.

The worst out there, put us through so much drama, very stressful and mentally draining, their mortgage broker is absolutely useless, 4 months later we were declined, absolute waste of time, waste of energy, they just didn't want us to buy it for some reason, maybe because we are a different skin colour to them! Valuation?? They can't be bothered!

Booked in a valuation with Bridgfords. They called the following morning at 830 which was very efficient. Was advised over the phone that this would take 30 minutes. Had a phone call from the Sale branch on the morning of the appointment. Asked if i intended to put my house up for sale, said it would be dependent on the equity we have in the house. He said the valuation would take and hour and a half and he could send a virtual valuation. It sounded like the guy couldn't be bothered at all. If this is the level of experience you get from someone that is trying to get your business, I would hate to think about the experience you would have selling through this place. Really poor service!
