Kennedys Tadworth reviews

We have viewed a number of properties listed by Kennedys and both my experience and impression of them tells me that they always price the property at the very ambitious/non-achievable pricing target so that they can win the exclusive marketing of the properties. As a result, the properties end up sitting on the market for a long time (6-12 months except for when market conditions are rarely hot or of sellers market like what is happening now in the middle of the pandemic) with asking prices being reduced in the end thus dampening the expectations of the vendors. They make it appear their properties are one of a kind and therefore command such high prices when compared to other similar properties. This is is also the tone you get when you speak to them on the phone. For example, a property in Downsway, Tadworth was listed at £865K which we justified as only in the region of £800 -£815K, but this was ignored. 12 months later and the property was still on the market for the same price which was laughable. Eventually, it was sold for £810K in Jan 2021. We could go on and on, but they generally make the sellers believe their houses are worth more than they are! The other issue with this company is it tends to mis-represent, like making listings such as 4 /5 bedrooms when in reality it isn't - the 5th room is a dog house or some converted garage that would not really fit a decent single bed in. We had enough of this company.

Highly Recommended Kennedys were involved with the sale of our house in Tadworth. From start to finish they were professional, communicative, supportive and great to deal with. From the initial visit to value our property through to the date of completion, we could not have asked for better support from every member of the Kennedy's team. The admin team were prompt, efficient and friendly. The sales team were fantastic and supported us every step of the way, communicating throughout. Kennedys are a family business and we appreciated the personal touch. We could have a laugh and a joke with them, really important as selling a house and moving is stressful. Kennedys know the local area well and have a wealth of local knowledge. We cannot recommend them highly enough - we certainly made the right choice when we picked Kennedys!

Unfortunately 1 star is too many. AWFUL communication and the customer service is non existent. We have tried to rent two properties through Kennedy’s and on both occasions we were left completely out the loop unless we phoned them ( multiple times may I add ). As it stands we put an offer in on a property in July and we were apparently waiting to hear back from the landlord. Fast forward a month and we can see it has now been let to somebody else. Always fantastic to be kept informed! AVOID like the plague if you value your own time because they definitely don’t value it.

We received truly amazing service from Kennedy's from start to finish and I would have no hesitation in recommended them. Their level of professionalism, knowledge of the property market, customer service, staff, and all the marketing tools they use to sell properties, were by far superior to competitor agents. They are a family run business and between the generations have a wealth of experience which I think is the reason for this. The quality of their brochures and photos were exceptional.
