GoogleI put my house on the market with Hubbard Torlot just as the house market collapsed. But, despite this, they marketed it quickly and very effectively, such that it was soon under offer. Despite the potential purchaser being committed, there were problems with their purchaser because a previous mortgage offer was withdrawn. I decided to ride this out which meant it ended up taking a year to reach a successful conclusion, Hubbard Torlot respected my decisions and worked incredibly hard to steer everything towards a happy outcome. I can't praise the entire team enough and it's an easy five star review.

GoogleI really enjoyed my experience working with Ian. I found him to be very kind and patient - and most importantly, he genuinely cared about finding me the right house. I have dealt with many estate agents. But Ian really isn't like any of the others - not aggressive, pushy or salesy. Honest to a fault. I had a tough time finding the right house - Ian knew my expectations, and ultimately got me the perfect house where I am very happy. For that, I am truly grateful for Ian's efforts and time. GoogleJust called for a friend, asked how many rentals they had available, before I was even asked a question I was told we don’t have any properties, my response was on your website it claims you have 13 properties, he said on right move, I said no on your page, his response, yeah well we are in the process of removing them all, we only do sales here, when I asked where the rental office is, this is the same office we just don’t have anything. So I asked if he is aware of any agency’s in the area, his response was go online or have a look around, I have done both, I’ve found to let signs in the area, I’ve found your name on them, wasn’t interested, clearly made some assumptions and decided they couldn’t help (didn’t ask me 1 question about my friend) . So my friend works, she is an NHS nurse, she has 2 children and is a widow, I guess she doesn’t meet their criteria.

The properties you are referring to have all been let and should identify that on our website. Unfortunately there are sub websites that obtain information without our authority and you are not the first person to enquire about properties that have been let sometime ago. If you would like us to keep your details on record for any upcoming rentals, please do contact us and we'll be happy to register your friend. Generally speaking, as soon as a property is available, it is let straight away.

GoogleHubbard and Torlot offered good service and communication was clear. We came to a point when we had three offers, £60,000 apart from each other, days before the election on 12th December. It has been a very strange market and so we choose the estate agent to navigate this period of time. We also had an equity release mortgage to consider. We were asked to drop the price to get into the next price bracket. We did so, although I was thinking that it is much easier to sell a property at a lower price. Ideally renting the property would have been a better thing to do. People were changing their luck and coming in with insulting offers. It cost us £7,400 to sell the house which is alot of anyone's money and I still think that this is alot of money, taking 3 months for a teacher to earn! Whilst our experience was positive, it was also very expensive.

GoogleI have used Hubbard Torlot on the last two occasions I have moved house. I can’t rate them highly enough they have been so friendly, helpful and efficient that I would have no hesitation in recommending them. My most recent move was very prolonged and stressful yet Ian especially worked so hard to make sure everything went through OK. I don’t think many agents would have gone to such lengths on their clients behalf.
