I highly recommend using Gasgoine Pees to sell your property. The team at West Byfleet are very professional, efficient, helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble and they support you with every step of the moving process. Their selling approach is transparent with fixed fees so you know exactly how much everything costs. Alex, their mortgage advisor is excellent too who went above and beyond to make the process as smooth as possible whilst securing the best mortgage deal. Incredible Staff!

Myself and my partner are first time buyers looking for our first property. This is been such an exciting process, and the lovely Mia from Redhill's Gascoigne-Pees has made it even more wonderful. From the moment I first called in to book viewings, her sparkling friendly personality has shone through and she shared in our excitement to be looking for our dream home. Obviously it is quite a big decision and a large commitment, so we are so appreciative of the time Mia took to get to know what we wanted, what we were avoiding and what about the properties we picked that made us choose them. That meant that she was able to suggest some others that we hadn't come across, in the same area, for the same price range and with the same general feel as the others. This meant that our top 3 properties are now all ones held with GP! This has been great, since we know that whatever property we end up going with, we're going to have Mia's fantastic support behind us. I am so impressed by her ability to show off the best bits of the properties whilst explaining things so clearly. I truly trust that she has our best interests in mind and is just as psyched to look for our first property as we are! She is an absolute credit to the business, and I am looking forward to working with her to get the keys to our new home.

Maidenhead branch: Weirdest state agent interaction I’ve ever had

Was already feeling an odd vibe from the agents - they sounded annoyed or something. Put an offer in a house less than 6% off the original price. They told me the owners didn’t accept it - fair enough. Called them and asked for a second viewing to potentially offer more. They booked me in for the following week. One day after that, the agents call me to cancel the viewing because “the owner didn’t want us in his house again” because our offer was “too low” and “it threw them off”. Even if the owner genuinely felt that way, the agent could simply have said the seller had decided not to proceed with further viewings. Telling me that our offer “threw them off” and that the owner “didn’t want us in his house again” is unnecessarily blunt and, frankly, rather unprofessional. I’ve never seen anything like this is my life before. Feels like we dodged a bullet though. If they treated us like this at this point, I can only imagine the sort of troubles we would have if we actually did business with them.

Harassment, Alarm & Distress Caused - Spamming Cowboys

I went through Get Agent which was my first big mistake… they gave my details to Gascoigne Pees who called me within minutes. I explained that I wasn’t looking at a valuation or selling my house for at least 3-6 months and to ‘stand down’… I’ve been called every day or every other day since, and when I don’t answer the phone, they don’t leave a message and when you call back it doesn’t go through to the branch only to the head office. I asked my details to be removed from their system but I’ve still had daily calls from them, even when on the phone to their head office to make a complaint, I was called again by their branch. I have since had 4 spam calls from other estate agents with details sent to GetAgent with my phone number and a fake email address that Get Agent are tracing using the IP address from the fake email due to a breaking of GDPR rules. Yet to be proven but seems a coincidence that after having an argument with someone at Gascoigne Pees about harassment and spam calls from them, that my details have been sent out to estate agents in Coventry, Stoke-On-Trent, Nottingham and Leeds… Would never sell my house through GP and trust them with any personal details..

I chose Gascoigne-Pees as they were probably the first estate agent whose name stuck with me when I first came across it in the1950s. When I discussed the sale of our happy home of nearly 40 years with GP I said I had a guide price. GP suggested a higher price given recent sales in the area. The house was on the market for week or so, then GP had a weekend showing which attracted a number of potential buyers. Three made offers, two above the median of my and GP's suggestions. I accepted one of the offers as I did not want to prolong the sale process. GP, my and the vendor's solicitors then progressed the sale to completion much more rapidly than expected. Clearance of our old home took place just days before completion. Top marks to GP and the West Byfleet team.

Overall a very good service despite a rather long time between offer acceptance and completion.............. no fault of GP I hasten to add, outstanding issues we chased up and we were kept well informed of developments as they happened. My only negative was that the property was grossly under valued in the first place and we managed to get another 9% or £33k above the first offer we which we were advised to accept. It was a long and drawn out process due to a number of hurdles along the way, but Jordan kept me informed, sometimes on an hourly basis, to make sure that I knew what was happening as quickly as possible. It was a stressful move, but Jordan tried to keep that stress to a minimum with his communication, professionalism and a touch of humour! Highly recommended.

Warning - avoid this company at all costs!!

Tom is extremely unprofessional and dishonest. We accepted an offer back in May from a buyer on the basis that the buyer was a cash purchaser. We were then told in July that this was not the case and he was applying for a mortgage. Only when we were ready to exchange and complete in August the buyers solicitors informed us that the buyer had a related transfer of equity, unbelievable. We were told it could take up to 6 months to sort out. We were very disappointed about being kept in the dark about this so late in the transaction. Had we been privy to this we would not have accepted the offer in the first place.
