We recently completed on a house purchase via Barnard Marcus, and the process was seamless. From the initial viewing through to picking up the keys, the level of customer service was exemplary. Scot went out of his way to make things easy; accommodating viewings at short notice, responding swiftly on email, putting in regular phone calls to update us, even gently jostling the seller's solicitors along! We felt supported every step of the way and we're grateful to the team for taking the sting out of what can be a very stressful experience. Highly recommended. **Since purchasing with BM, we have used their lettings team to help us find our tenants, and as with the sales process, the lettings process has been exceptional. We dealt mainly with Leon who was just great. He was responsive, pro-active and - most importantly - he played it with a straight bat. We always knew where things stood and we truly felt like he had our best interests at heart. As with the sales team, the lettings team have been exceptional and again, highly recommended!

He also worked well with the landlord to fulfill the requests that I had so that I could move into the property within the tight deadline that I had. She offered advice on areas where improvement would increase the chances of a successful sale. She also advised on work that would not get a return in terms of increased buyer interest or monetary value.

This branch has poor communication skills and they don't take pride in customer service. The only time they are kissing up to you is the minute you are putting down a deposit so they can get commision or some kind of bonus i bet. First off Jordan is so unprofessional its a joke. The landlord decided not to rent to me and my husband and when we requested our holding deposit back. Jordan told us it was being processed but we did not receive it for another month with much ringing and emailing the branch. Seriously do not work with this branch to rent a home because they seem like they do not have the customers best interest at heart. I feel like they will lie about property information to gain a financial advantage for themselves. Really upset with this experience.

Unprofessional and misleading

The sales negotiator in the Clapham office was, in my experience, highly unprofessional and misleading regarding key property information. We were told inaccurate information about the service charge during the sales process, and when documentary evidence later contradicted what had been represented, there was no meaningful acknowledgement or accountability. This seriously undermined trust in the accuracy of the listing and the information provided. Buyers should independently verify all details and not rely solely on representations made during the sales process.

The Putney branch as good as allowed our house purchase to fall through after the sellers’ chain collapsed. They completely took advantage of us being chain-free and assumed we would sit silently and wait for things to happen. Zero communication and absolutely no pro-activity. When we eventually found somewhere new and emailed formally pulling out, asking to pass a nice message on to the sellers wishing them luck, we received no response and had to chase for an acknowledgment. An agent at another company winced when we said we were buying through Barnard Marcus, which tells you all you need to know. Never using again.

The team at Barnard Marcus (Surbiton) were fabulous to deal with. They fully appreciated the sensitivity of selling a house via probate, following two tragic deaths, and kept their finger on the pulse at all times. They were calming and reassuring when things seemed to be going wrong, and always on my side. One word though - DO NOT USE their recommended solicitors, Taylor Rose. Utterly hopeless!

Don`t even pass trough by this company. awful as they can`t communicate. they keep offering you mortgatge adviser but they can`t sell a property. anytime i book viewing with barnard marcus i view the property you can1t keep in touch with one person. they even dont talke your offer properly, your position also missing from the form. you keep calling them but there is no clear answers.. they are there to just spend some time and get their sallary thats it..

Beware of Vince from Morden!

Beware of Vince from Morden!! Vince was amazing for the first 2 months but then turned absolute criminal and has caused us nothing but problems and now holding us ransom by not passing on our rent money for the last 2 months!!! On top of this they found us the worst tenant ever and every month keep charging ridiculous fees - everything has been an absolute disaster, do not go near this bunch and manage your property yourself!! 95% of these good reviews are fake.

Tenacious and thorough. Batting hard for clients

We had a pretty torrid time trying to sell our property when the tenants refuse to leave and damaged the house. Bernard Marcus stayed on the case and remained incredibly patient with the sales process and even after a price was agreed Kelly within that office in Ealing tenaciously contacted all constituent parties almost on the daily basis to speed up an otherwise excessively long process. They absolutely earned their fee and I was delighted to have them in our corner during a drawn out sales process which was no fault of ours or Barnard Marcus.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Paid company full management fees - failed to ask tenant to sign new contract, failed to notify us as Landlord. Tenant left early - huge amount of property damage. Barnard Marcus got all the quotes for remedial works and then failed to present to Ombudsman. Consequently we lost deposit and had to bear loss of rental income and all damage. Totally awful unprofessional deceitful company - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

I was told I had to move out of my rental in May and felt anxious at the thought of finding something suitable. I had the pleasure of meeting Megan from the Epsom branch. Megan has gone above and beyond to help me. She always kept in touch, she has been reassuring and always approachable and professional. When she went on holiday, she put me in contact with her colleague Courtney as prior to her going away, I saw a property advertised that I really wanted.
