TrustpilotHorrendous Experience: Unprofessionalism, Neglect, and Anxiety-inducing Tactics
Terrible experience. They put pressure on you to sign contracts on the spot. I have zero professionalism in emails, with monosyllabic responses like "No." If you try to talk to anyone above the agent, you are fully neglected. They operate like a bunch of shark lawyers, always in favor of the landlords, neglecting completely that you are a human being. It was a terrible, toxic, and extremely harmful experience. I even had an anxiety attack because of them. Avoid them at all costs.
Hi Javier, our lettings director has reviewed all the correspondence and could not find anything untoward, it was all routine exchanges between us and yourself. We are sorry you did not like the outcome but the deposit laws are in place to protect applicants, tenants and landlords interests equally, these are not our own laws. GoogleI was in a very desperate position to find a flat within 2 weeks and luckily I found a nice flat on Rightmove. I gave Benham and reeves a call and an agent called Kevin came to help me. He was very helpful, kind and efficient. He found time to let me view the property the same day I called and even stayed after his working hours to show me the extra features of the property. He has great communication and kept me updated with the process via WhatsApp, email and calls. He explained the step by step procedure and got me my flat that I rent now in less that 1.5 weeks. I’m very thankful to B&R team and Kevin especially. I would definitely recommend this company to help you rent in London or anywhere where they operate.

GoogleIf I have an agency to recommend to you in London it is this one. I had to come to London for my work, it had been several months since I had been without accommodation. I spoke to the agent Kevin Lam and he did his best to help me. It's really rare to see such a professional and attentive agent these days. I really recommend him in particular, he will help you and find you the apartment that suits you. Benham and reeves will not only find you an apartment, they will support you when you have any concerns. I have had a few problems in the apartment and at the slightest remark, George Georgalli did everything to fix the problem and solve the problem as quickly as possible. I really appreciate the help that George gave to me and continues to give. The service of Benham ad Reeves is therefore excellent both before the purchase of the apartment, and after. Benham and Reeves are professional, attentive and reactive. My opinion is sincere, you can trust them!

We had a good experience with the Highgate office of Benham & Reeves. We had to find a rental property at short notice having lost a few through other agencies. We looked at quite a few in North London, and most were in poor condition, unrealistically priced or unavailable for weeks. Ivan found us a property which met our requirements and he and his colleagues also helped make the moving process smooth.

GoogleWas going through the process of renting an apartment with Benham & Reeves. We agreed on price and I passed the referencing process and the day we were going to have the viewing (had to be delayed as they didn't have access to the apartment) to finally sign the agreement they call me to let me know that the landlord made an agreement with a different tenant and our agreement was off. This happened even though we gave them a holding deposit which takes the property off the market until all the documents are signed and referencing is passed. This process has caused me a significant amount of time and money and I now have to spend my holidays searching for a new apartment. Avoid renting with them.

GoogleRenting/house hunting in London can be really frustrating but Benham and Reeves have done a great work in the past months, from finding a new solution in the same building after the one I contacted them for went to another tenant, to a perfect walkthrough of the apt and area features. Cory proved himself dedicate and passionate and absolutely professional and the viewing with him was totally crucial in my choice. My appreciation to Maria as well for the handling the bureaucracies smoothly and quickly. I'm very happy with my choice.
