Although these estate agents are notorious for over-pricing their inventory and leaving houses for sale on zoopla for 6 months even though they are SSTC, we wade an offer on a house. They never had the courtesty to even call us back with a reply. We assumed that the offer wasnt accepted by the vendor, but still, we missed out on a house purely because the staff couldnt be bothered to treat us with respect. Staff never call you back and are shady with their information,. (apart from 1 or 2 select few: Matt has always been professional) Apart from that, stay away especially if you are a buyer.

From the very first phone calls I had with both Holly and Terry at Chancellors, Lightwater, I felt completely confident with their anticipation of my needs, that they were committed to getting the best sale for me, and I can honestly say in all the house selling I have been a part of, this one was the most smooth, worry free, and easiest in my experience. I was kept informed by emails every week, and on the odd occasion I needed to call, Holly was charming, attentive and very helpful. From arranging an open day, to completion was only just over three months, and throughout that time I didn't have a moments anxiety. Chancellors took care of everything, from liaising with the solicitors, the buyers and myself, to sorting out burglar alarms. I will certainly be recommending Chancellors to my friends and family. Chancellors sold our beautiful bungalow in Lightwater. Holly and her team were thoroughly professional throughout and helped us every step of the way. Our sales negotiator was Lisa who was truly superb and nothing was too much trouble. If we had a query she would answer it, and if contact was needed with our buyers she made it and was a brilliant intermediary; and therefore an essential part of the sales process. There is a big misconception that selling houses is merely about getting them under offer and the rest is just for solicitors to sort out… In our experience this could not be further from the truth. This is where the role of the estate agent BEGINS and Chancellors were second to none (believe us - we tried other agents as well!). They helped us at every step and that is what you are paying your fees for. Karen, the team leader in the Sales Progression Team was also excellent liasing seamlessly between the two solicitors.
