GoogleI found a very nice apartment with them and lived there for 2 years. Although we really enjoyed the apartment but the few times we called for any issue, it was a long delays. There is no one focal person who is dealing with situation and you have to explain the story every single time. Moreover, also found them rude especially if you are raising concerns of any sort and there is a good chance that you will get different information from different people.

I recently sold a property through Martin & Co. After some initial teething problems with the listing, the service was generally excellent. Once we had a firm offer, Lynn (in particular) and Gill were really helpful in moving things along and dealing with queries. They even helped me find a local gardener to maintain the garden while the property was empty. Excellent communication all the way along. My only criticism is that the original estimated sale price of the property was way too high - hence I've knocked off 1-star from what otherwise would have been a 5-star review.

GoogleOne of the most terrible housing agent, before I write a lot, let me tell you that, this agent would never want to give you your deposit. They claimed I spoiled a window blind that had spoilt more than 2years ago, Unknowingly to them, I knew the tenant that left the house before I moved in. I got both in and out inventory from the previous tenants and compared with me and I see that same issue has been raised for like two years with different tenants and still want to deduct my deposit for same window. After showing proof of my claim, they finally agreed to not deduct my deposit, I cleaned the house so clean, they deducted £157 for cleaning two bedroom flat. Just look for another agent to rent from.

GoogleI wouldn't bother renting from Martin and co, we have been in a house for nearly 3 years with damp issues that STILL have not been fixed properly, we have sent multiple emails and now we are just being ignored. This needs sorting now as a matter of urgency before we start to seek legal advice. It is the landord/landlady's responsibilty to fix not ours and i feel Martin and Co are doing nothing about it.

The team, and Steve in particular, are always happy to help and advise new Landlords, you are right that it can be daunting when yo are new to it and legislation does keep changing but hopefully our years of experience and the support of the Martin and Co brand means we can help make it as stress free as possible.
We also have our own local inhouse property management team rather than outsource it or base it somewhere else in the country which will hopefully mean we can help keep the lifetime of the tenancy as stress free as possible.
