TrustpilotShockingly Bad.
They are our property managers for a house we let out.Shockingly bad.I assume the staff turnover is high because we have a different property manager every few months. Which results in things not being resolved and mistakes happening.I won't be using them again in the future.

GoogleMy experience so far with Edward Mellor has been amazing. With it being the first time selling my home and is still in the process. 2 members of the staff have been fantastic.Johnny and Millie. Made me feel very comfortable with them its like family and so professional at the same time they have helped me in every way.Nothing was to much trouble always there for me with whatever i queries i had. They are still helping me with my onward journey. The company should be very proud to have such wonderfull people working for them. I cannot praise them enough and yes overall the rest of the staff are amazing to. I would highly reccomend Edward Mellor to anyone selling or buying property.

Useless in most areas of dealing with them is easiest to describe them. Previously, when we'd had our home up for sale with them the actually forgot it was available when I made an anonymous enquiry after noticing my details were not displayed anywhere in their Gorton branch. Then when we went on to buy a property from same branch they told us we HAD to get a mortgage quote from themselves even though we'd secured a mortgage which we'd showed them but they refused putting our offer to the owner unless we went through gheir process. Thst smacked of wanting 2 bites at the same cherry to us so we visited the owner ourselves telling her she was probably missing out on offers. She was furious, we got the house but not because they did their job she was paying them to do. Swerve if you can, seriously.

I sold my house through the Edgeley office, very pleased with the advice and communication. They asked questions about why I was selling and what was important to me and then we discussed the price and marketing ideas. They got it spot on, viewers within a few days and two offers right after that.The sales process took a while, but I can't blame Edward Mellor for that, they helped me along all the way.

I sold my house last year through Mellors to a developer they knew and had previously done business with,We quickly agreed on a price, but the sale was dragged out for over 5 months almost costing us the house we wanted to buy,The buyer of my house was aware we were coming to the end of our 6 month mortgage application, and used this to force me into renegotiating the price,This practice known as "gazundering" is punishable in Wales & Scotland by fines, but sadly not in England,Edward Mellors will likely deny any knowledge/complicity, but it felt they were working for the buyer, and not the seller throughout,They did nothing to help speed up the process or reduce the incredible stress we were put under,If you must sell via Mellors, avoid accepting offers from developers or cash buyers,Best avoiding them completely to be honest.

Absolutely awful.My landlord used this company to manage my rental property and I had the worst experience with them. I have 2 children and another baby on the way and have a serious black mould problem in several rooms in my property including my children's room. When I initially brought the mould to their attention with pictures ect they instantly told me it’s a condensation issue without viewing or assessing it attal and that it’s essentially not their problem but after pushing the issue onto them further we later discovered it’s a roofing issue as I expected and still no action was taken for 5 whole months regardless of me calling and chasing up several times a week to resolve it. They have a complete lack of communication or care for their customers and are clearly only interested in collecting the rent.

GoogleThe forms, documents, process and procedures for buying and selling houses evolve and change overtime, what doesn't change at all is the need to have dedicated, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Edward Mellor is full of staff with these qualities. In the recent sale of our family home. I would like to pick out Jonathan Arrowsmith and Emma Booth both of whom always had a good answers to any problems that found us. Keep up the great work!

Very poor service from Levenshulme Manchester branch leaving premises insecure on occasions, lack of communication and real lack of effort on their part of selling property, actually undermine you with buyers to work in the buyers favour to your detriment. I saw one review say one star is too much and I fully agree. This poor service was also followed up by threatening behaviour for a fee they had not earned according to my own legal advice. They threatened if I did not pay they would sell the debt on to a a debt recovery agency who would come and take the money anyway, disreputable company who you cannot trust. Stay away. You have been warned. Just look at all the negative reviews. We can’t all be wrong

Haven't had any dealings with this company other than random phone calls, on calling back I got an answer machine "telling me I'd been looking on Zoopla" then directed to a call centre run by Edward Mellor.Clearly a very desperate company looking for business, I've never looked on Zoopla and have no need of an estate agency, judging by other reviews on here they are clearly a company to be avoided at all cost random cold calling doesn't reflect well on any business.

Said released my token when Auction ended, just give me screen cap when asked for help. Tried to ask them to give me an official document to my bank to release fund but echo off. Got my token/fund back after 30days when fund is unclaimed. It is £5000.00 not small amount.

I would not rate this company. Underhanded unprofessional incompetent and poor communication. They accepted my offer on a property allowed me to pay in excess off £500 for the survey. Refused to mark it SSTC as they were taking names and numbers of other people interested all along. This would be ok if they had been open and honest so I would not have had a survey done or pursued it.Biggest regret not checking their reviews beforehand. I will be pursuing my complaint to the property ombudsman and taking further advice.Just glad I have everything documented and recorded for evidence

Had good dealings with this company, when commication with the buyer seemed to faulter and the sale looked like it might fall through, Pauline helped keep pushing things forward with daily contact to get the sale over the line all the way upto exchanged day, could not really ask for more
