we rented property in Rothsay court…

we rented property in Rothsay court skelmolie we were told that the so called land lord would clean the flat and would get aerial fitted pry to us moving in the rental man from slater and hogg neil said it would be done moved in 8th august nothing was done had to pay 250 plus vat for aerial the house had cobwebs coming down if a cleaner had been in ? we did not get the money back we could not change the gass company as suppries the bills were not paid dept letter came from different company police at the door looking for other tenent contact slater and hogg they sent email to gass company that was all no real help from them i had to get help from someone to help we had to stay with gass company as they refuse our to take over i was fed up with no help from them or so called mr rigby owner moved out on jan2024 the owner told mydeposit scotland we broke tenent agreement and had a dog that he had to bring cleaner for carpet realy we have never had a dog plus abbie from slater and hogg never mention it any how they held back 250 pound that honest land lord said he paid to get carpet cleaned we had prove the clown was awarded 65 pound for nothing i would not trust slater and hogg as they are not intrested in tenent getting ripe of with the so called owner they get the tenent checked out but who are checking the owner riping of tenent would never use slater and hogg of greenock

Oh god, avoid avoid!

where to begin, first they lied about things that would be done before moving in, they wernt. they never delt with any repairs at all, two months later still nothing was done so i decided to end the tenancy after having never spent a single night there. one month later and have had not heard a word regarding the return of the deposit. I would strongly advice to avoid them at all costs, every step with has been a nightmare and cost me circa 4 grand with nothing but wasted time to show for it.

Terrible experience. Not so much with Slater hogg themselves but with the companies they use to fix the problems in the house. We were left without heating, hot water for 1 week on the coldest days/nights of October with children in the house. Also 2.5 weeks with no option to wash clothes as it was considered -Not Urgent-. Full of problems on every step of the way, moving in was a hassle as we were promised everything would be ready and clean until we moved it. The day came and it looked horrible, so our official date was still sett but it was very disruptive for about 3 weeks, with people painting, carpets, and cleaning the house while we were there. Just horrible.

I made an enquiry to Slater Hogg, very late in the day of 12/10/20. When leaving an email and a brief voice mail - as lines were busy, I received a call immediately with 20 minutes of making my enquiry. Lisa who responded attentively and professionally to my enquiry, accommodated me that very day by fitting me into her busy schedule so I could view the property I was interested in. I was incredibly impressed with the attention to customer care and detail as she worked around my schedule just as much as her own. She took her time with me as I was shown around the property, whilst ensuring me that she would get back to ASAP about the land Lords decision. She phoned me first thing during the working morning, which again I was incredibly impressed with. I wasn't waiting, which has happened to me previously with other companies - and she was patient enough with my next decision/course of action. Unfortunately I didn't go with the property, but lisa gave me clarity and reassurance that she would be accommodating and of any help to other potential enquiries I have in the near future. As a private rental tenant I have lived same property for just over 1 year. I was having so much problems over a 4 month period with my energy supplier that I turned to SHH for help, They had the problem sorted out within 2 days. Superb performance. Then in November I began another bout of problems with the energy supplier and I persevered by trying to sort it out with them myself to no avail . On 24th February Ifelt it necessary to involve SHH again and within hours they had come up trumps again. A HUGE thank you to SHH and a particular mention to LISA in the Stirling branch. Keep up the good work, excellent service.

We had just moved to Stirling and needed a place to live as quickly as possible, and they were able to speed the process along so we were into our new home just days after we went in for the viewing. Everyone we spoke with was very friendly, and they laid out all the necessary information for our move-in clearly. We would not hesitate to rent a property through their team again in future.

Avoid this company if you are selling a…

Avoid this company if you are selling a property. I am a cash buyer found a property I was interested in. It was not under offer and was going to a closing date in two days time. The estate agent claimed they were too busy to show anyone else around the property, despite me giving anytime availability. At the same time everyone in the office was laughing and joking obviously not that busy then. The seller could potentially be losing out thousands because of their actions.

I have recently started my application process for a student flat after struggling to secure a property with other companies for months. Throughout the process I have been dealing with Helene who quickly set up a viewing and dealt with out request to put in an application very promptly ultimately securing us the property. She has been extremely helpful throughout the process so far and her communication has been excellent and extremely professional, as even though we are students, other estate agents have almost an 'attitude' towards students trying to find a property. I cannot recommend SH&H enough and Helene.
