FacebookAgent told me they want more than advertised price!!! so I withdrew my offer which for 4 days was ‘under review!!’ Meanwhile on line it’s stated ‘under offer’. Shame
Thank you Rhona for your comments. We appreciate that trying to buy a property during level 5 COVID restrictions is very challenging. We would love to have been able to meet you in person and show you this property. Regretfully that is not permitted at this time. We do appreciate your willingness to submit an offer subject to being able to view if it was accepted. Many other prospective buyers prefer to wait till they can view first. We have a list of other people very interested in this property who are keen to view it as soon as that is permitted. Our "Under Offer" on the internet listing was designed to encourage one or more of these people to progress matters immediately, which they were not willing to do. As I hope you can appreciate, in the current restrictions with only one bidder it is difficult to be certain of the market value. The "Under Offer" note was removed the instant you withdrew your offer. We are agents for the sellers and act on their instructions. In this context, they decided not to accept your offer. Rather than revert to you with a simple rejection, I asked them for a figure which they would accept at this time, in the hope of being able to negotiate an agreeable figure. One of our core values is to treat buyers with the respect due to people making a significant life decision. Without meeting in person and having a more in-depth conversation this is more challenging. We were not aware of your tight timeline. We should have asked. We appreciate your feedback and will try to do better in future.
