I liked the estate agent who was dealing with the property we were selling. Most people will say that selling / buying property is stressful but I felt that the gentleman handling us was on our side, guiding us, helping us, advising us and when the property sold, was almost as delighted as us. We were also impressed with the photos taken of the property prior to it being marketed.

When you spend more time managing a property manager than you would managing the property there is something wrong.Ellis & Co's management of our property has been appalling. Staff change frequently and there is no continuity. Often we are not even informed when the property manager changes. Problems fall between the cracks and get worse before they are dealt with, creating more cost. Worse still, they take no responsibility whatsoever for their failings and lack of service. The Manager can't even be bothered to arrange a time to call and discuss the problems, delegating to someone else to send a terse and aggressive email effectively burying their head in the sand and refusing to deal with the problem as they are too busy. I would be ashamed to be associated with this company. Find one that actually cares.-------------UPDATE POST ELLIS & CO RESPONSEThe version of events you present below is both untrue and incomplete. Unfortunately I have had to resort to dealing with the matter here as you have failed to even agree to the courtesy of a phone conversation to go through matters. You called at a time that was inconvenient to us without pre-arranging it. When we were unable to speak at length and had to go, you refused our attempts re-arrange a mutually convenient time. Instead you simply sent a rude and presumptive email in which you unilaterally decided the matter was closed. Happy to re-engage less publicly if you wish to. Equally happy to escalate if necessary.
Dear Jamie, Ellis & Co take all customer enquiries, requests, and comments seriously and do our very best to help in whatever way possible. In this case we initially provided a quote for repair works in March 2020 to which you had many questions all of which were responded to. The repair work was delayed by a further 3 weeks during which time we advised you many times by email and phone about the urgency of these repairs. Therefore, we do not feel there were any delays from our side in handling this issue as shown in the timeline/audit trail along with e-mail correspondence that we have sent you.Regarding management changes, there have been only two changes in 3 years and the current Property Manager is still furloughed and has been since April. During the recent lock down and following the government guidelines the offices were closed but with properties being managed by homeworkers, therefore we have been available to deal with management issues, albeit not on site. This has not affected our ability to manage this or any other managed property.We have looked after our managed properties during what has been a difficulty and trying time for managing agents, landlords and tenants alike.

GoogleI have recently been assisted by Ray and Marta. It was a very smooth and efficient process they have guided us from viewing to referncing and has updated us on a timely manner. Moving to a new house is very stressful but we are very thankful that we went to the right letting agency.

A girl Anna showed me properties and forced me into moving in a property. Property has lots of issues but all she wanted was my money and shouted at me when I did not pay deposit at time she chose. When she opened the property for me to view she waited outside and wouldn’t answer many questions. Said she was busy. As soon as I can leave my contract i will do so and never receommend Anna or this agency.

GoogleMinus stars if I could give them. Raj the owner is rogue estate agents do not use. Charges for market valuations after discussing there will be no charges with his colleagues. He does valuations that are very low compared to other estate agents and he also did a valuation for a property by looking inside a window? There are many other professional estate agents around.
