Howgates went above and beyond to get the sale of my house through and my onward purchase completed. I was in a large chain and due to unforeseen circumstances with my sale, I hit many difficulties along the way. Howgates worked endlessly to ensure the chain stayed in place and even with long delays out of my control, they supported me and kept everyone informed every step of the way. A special thanks to Stacey who work tirelessly on a daily basis and done an amazing job. My eternal gratitude goes to Gav, who made it possible with his dedication and determination & I wouldn’t be in my new home today without him. Thank you Howgates!

As local estate agents, the team are incredibly professional, personable and offered us a fantastic service. I can’t thank Stacey enough for all her support throughout the process of selling our home! Took less than a week from a request to rent out a property for them to visit, take details and photos and put the property online, they arranged 7 viewings, which were all great. Property was rented out to a great local couple, with all paperwork and help given by the team at Howgates. *Please don’t be fooled by Gavin’s response, we spoke with him and his team on multiple occasions and although they are saying they aren’t held liable for advertising the property falsely even after we informed them on multiple occasions of our findings, my review is 100% a 0 star review if I could have given that for customer service on how we have been treated by the Howgates team* Recently pulled out of purchasing a property with Howgates due to false advertising. The loft conversion had not been signed off by building regulations so was not legally an extra bedroom and bathroom. We made the team aware of these findings at a high cost to us via surveys and our own legal team (although due to very obvious factors the experienced team should have known that the house should not be advertised in this manor). The house is now back on the market still advertised wrongly so be cautious if you’re buying a property with them as they seem to not be bothered by the how this affects you as a buyer or the potential legal backlash on themselves.

We recently sold our house through Howgates and have nothing but good things to say about them. We had the pleasure of working with Gavin, Stacey and Brandon. Gavin came and valued the house, and it went on the market very soon thereafter - and then the house sold within a day of it being on the market. The solicitors acting for our buyer weren’t the easiest to deal with, but the guys at Howgates (especially Stacey) we’re always on hand to help where possible, even if it was just listen to me rant for a few minutes! Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them to anyone!

This is not a standard review! Howgates were our buyers estate agent. Their agent Stacey provided my wife and I with continual detailed updates on what proved to be a problematic move. Our own estate agents, Connellys were unfortunately next to useless. Without Stacey's professional attitude and help, this stressful situation would have been a lot worse. I would recommend Howgates to family and friends. I wouldn't recommend Connellys to Co Co the Clown.
