From our initial meeting with Mark via completing admin with Billy, arranging viewings with Sahil through to post offer progression with Alan our experience with Seymours has been exceptional. Mark helped us set a realistic price and found a keen buyer. Communication has been excellent - the phone is always answered promptly, Billy helped us complete all the admin, Sahil kept us updated on viewings and we had an update call at least once a week from Alan to keep us informed of the sale progress. From the initial valuation meeting through to sale completion was three months, which for a leasehold property is very quick. All down to very professional teamwork from Mark, Billy, Sahil and Alan. We have bought and sold quite a few properties via estate agents and Seymours stands head and shoulders above anyone else we have ever dealt with. We highly recommend Seymours for an extremely professional and efficient service supported by a superb team.

Seymours Guildford - Excellent

Seymours Guildford was excellent with the sale of a house I purchased. They communicated so well with the seller and the sale was completed in two months (no upward chain)Clive Gee, Tracy Williams on the Sales Progression team were in constant communication with me. I can thoroughly recommend Seymour’s estate agency! They beat all the other local Estate Agents by wide margin on their fees, but provided an exceptionally professional and attentive service. Immense thanks to Alan who was my Sales Progressor, and he did exactly that. He liaised swiftly and fluidly between myself, the buyer and the solicitors. His excellent communication skills and friendly personality made such a difference to what is ultimately, a stressful experience. Can’t thank you enough Alan!

Currently selling through Seymour’s Grayshott. What always feels like a nightmare experience has been more of a pleasant dream. Very professional, the whole team (Darren, James and Sarah) all came to view the house so they knew it well. Which was a positive for me having viewed houses where the agent couldn’t answers any questions as they ‘haven’t been in it before’. All initial negotiations, photographs etc went well. Had just three viewings and two offers almost straight away. Excellent communication keeping me up to date, I dealt mainly with James who is bright and enthusiastic.

Just sold my house Seymours Woking

Just sold my house Seymours Woking. Would never use again due to an unprofessional and amateur attitude. Whole catalogue of failures, main failures listed….Chap who signed us up said “i will be dealing with your sale from start to finish”, we seen him once after, never again. (We knew this was complete bs at the time) Most viewings had been hosted by different junior Seymours staff, unfamiliar with the house lay out / key selling features and normally arriving only 5 before a potential buyer. The advertising write up draft was completely incorrect, we corrected it. The incorrect write up appeared and kept appearing for almost a month (as we all know, first few weeks of selling a house the photos and write up are vital), despite repeated requests to correct it. After several very frustrating calls to Seymours, staff said they could not amend a new website, (we got palmed off time and time again) we ended up calling the manager direct who eventually rectified the write up, sadly, by this time the buzz of our house sale coming on the market had been lost. House build control / extension documents had been handed into Seymours to pass onto the solicitors. Seymours lost the documents ! Luckily, i had insisted on keeping the originals. We ended up scanning the documents and sending them to the solicitors ourselves. Communications were terrible with Seymours Woking, they promised updates once a week. We had to chase for updates, we ended up chasing the chain / buyers / solicitors ourselves. When we did get a Seymours update, we just got the impression the information was made up, as it was totally different to what our buyers had been telling us direct. Points of contact with Seymours were not consistent. Key photos were missing and did not align with the text. ***We had picked Seymours hoping for a stress free sale, it was far from stress free. As a matter of fact Seymours turned out to be an additional stress due to staff incompetence, for what should have been an easy straightforward sale. Don't be fooled by the lovely looking new office in Woking, it gives the impression of a totally professional set up - far from any reality for us. Huge amount in fees paid to Seymours and we ended up doing most of the leg work ourselves…….BUYER BEWARE AS THEY SAY***UPDATE 23/08/24 Seymours management have our telephone numbers. No attempt has been made to contact the sellers.

In a nutshell: We are just about to complete on our house move, with both the sale and purchase being managed by Seymours, and they have been just fantastic in all respects. We would recommend them in a heartbeat! The long version: We found the house we are buying first and were able to view it twice with both Mark C and Gary W being very generous with their time and very patient with our queries. Having decided to go for it we then asked Seymours to sell our house. They got it to market in no time - we instructed them on a Tuesday, two agents came to view the house on Wed, photos were taken on Thurs, it was on RightMove by Fri morning, we had 3 viewings on the Saturday and 2 offers by the Monday. We were seriously impressed and very grateful. Both Mark and Gary were then very helpful at negotiating with our purchasers and our sellers with regards to offers - the communication was excellent and I will never forget Mark's call telling us that our offer had been accepted :) Throughout all of this Billy M gave excellent, professional and very efficient admin support which helped make the process stress-free and easy to follow. Once the conveyancing process started with solicitors our contact for the sale progression was Alan H who has been equally excellent. Top notch communication, keeping us in the loop throughout with what was happening with everyone in the chain, and he helped keep me calm when there was a stressful last minute delay to exchange of contracts. It has been a pleasure working with him. Everyone we have spoken to at Seymours has been friendly, professional, helpful and communicative - and they do what they say they are going to do, we have not had to chase or follow up at any point. A HUGE thank you from us for making this process as seamless as possible! :o)

Supportive and friendly estate agents

Tadgh and the Seymours team have been amazing. My partner and I have been looking to buy our first home and the Seymours have helped us every step of the way. The whole team are very friendly, responsive and happy to help. We mostly interacted with Tadgh who was fantastic. He was easy to contact, supportive, and answered any questions we had. It took us a couple of months and some failed offers to finally find a property. Over this time the team arranged a lot of viewings for us, but it never seemed like too much trouble for them and they made the whole process of looking for a home as stress free and pleasant as possible. I cannot thank Tadgh and the Seymours team enough for being so patient, determined and persistent when it came to finding us a home we loved. When you embark on the journey of selling your property, you handover essentially something that holds such alot of emotional attachment. For that reason you hope the estate agent you choose is the right one. I can wholeheartedly say that Seymours in Staines were outstanding. We as a family couldn't have asked for anything better. Mark and Helen are such sincere, caring people and their team truely reflect that dedication they give to each client. Gary particularly took the lead with our house viewings, he was very supportive throughout with great feedback and communication. We chose Seymours in Staines to sell our house as we felt that they would provide excellent support in both the initial sale of the house, and the processes through to completion. They were the only agent we found that had someone dedicated to progressing the sale. In a very difficult market our house sold within a month. This was partly due to the close attention paid by the Seymours Staines team to the viewer statistics to each of the major websites, and making adjustments both to the price and marketing of the house in reaction to that. We did have a very long and tortuous process from the sale to completion due to issues in the chain. However, Seymours Staines managed this very closely in terms of follow up with the buyers of our house, their estate agent and solicitor. We had an update at least once a week of the status and next actions. Seymours Staines even provided pro-active help to get our buyer’s house sold in order that we could get to completion. Whenever we contacted Seymours Staines there would be someone in the team who helped us get an answer, even when our main contacts were not available, which was very important to us when things were not going well. Special thanks to Mark for his patience and advice during the whole process, and to Alan who was our key contact during the post-sale process, and did a fantastic job in his constant follow-up and communication.

We initially met with Mark and then during viewings we were in contact with Gary and Sahil, all of whom were very likeable and knowledgeable. When they say they are their to help, they mean it. Seymour's sold our property within the first week of being on the market with them, even before the photos of our property was live online. Terrible Experience - Buyers Perspective

Recently moved to Guildford and purchased a property through Seymours and had a terrible experience. Poor communication skills and incompetent. Would avoid buying and selling. Issues experienced - Not showing up for viewings. Changing view times on the day. Agreed to pick up the keys in the afternoon after calling the office and was then told the previous owners are still in the property after I arrived. My 6 month old was in a lot of discomfort sitting in the car for hours. On a good note, the Sales Progressor Clive was very helpful and provided regular updates.
