Rachael at Parklands, Hessle

We made a reservation with Charles Church in the late spring. We have been looked after by a number of different sales advisors during this time. Rachael, who is currently at the Hessle site, has been fantastic from the minute we met her. Her professional yet personal approach has made us feel so supported throughout the process. She accommodates any queries we have and her excellent communication skills have relieved what could have been an extremely stressful time. Got the keys last Thursday 29th August, so far they have been brilliant, Site foreman sent one of his men to my property this morning, to see if I had found any issues, I only had a couple of minor issues, they where all rectified within a couple of hours. Absolutely great delighted with the house. Could not recommend enough.

After visiting several new build sites and leaving a little bewildered and confused about the process of buying a new house we made an appointment with Francesca in sales at Harlands Park in Uckfield. She was great at explaining the process and very patient with the questions we had regarding this. She has been really helpful from the outset and can’t thank her enough.Steve the site manager and his team are great too and very reassuring with the pride they take in their work. The weekly photos sent by Darren updating you on the process of the build are a nice touch and we can’t wait to move into our lovely new home

Wonderful experience at Harlands Park, Uckfield

My partner and I are in the process of buying our new home at Harlands Park in Uckfield with Charles Church and we’ve been so impressed with the how smoothly everything has gone and how amazing all the people we’ve come into contact with are; from Francesca in the Sales Office who has been so helpful and supportive, to the wonderful Site Manager, Steve and Steven Andre in his team, to Darren who is sending us weekly progress updates and photographs. We couldn’t recommend the team or the site more and we can’t wait to be in our beautiful new home soon!

We have lived in the Edmond Park…

We have lived in the Edmond Park Development in Frome for 4 years and I am still looking out of my front door onto gravel and mud. The pavements outside of my are a health and safety hazard. We were told that the works were going to be completed soon but we still have to struggle along the pavement which has pot holes is uneven. Gravel is coming into my house daily. I am elderly and my husband has dementia. I did not except this when I purchased my home 4.3 years ago.

Turning a top quality house into our warm and inviting home.

We are so happy with our new Charles Church house in the Harlands Park development! It is everything we could have ever wanted and more. The high-quality finish is evident throughout the house, from the sturdy construction to the beautiful finishes. We love the open-concept kitchen/dining room, the large garden, the well-lit central staircase and the four bedrooms with plenty of storage space.During the first five weeks, we have been working hard to make our new home a warm and inviting place to live in. We furnished it in a style that reflects our personalities and interests and filled it with our favourite things. We love spending time in our new home, and we can't wait to make many more memories here.The landscaping and planting that Charles Church include throughout this development are quite exceptional. We have planted some flowering shrubs and a few trees of our own in our garden and look forward to seeing them flourish over time. We enjoy spending time in our outdoor space, cooking on the BBQ, and relaxing. The location is perfect as we are close to everything we need, but we are also in a quiet neighbourhood in a beautiful rural setting. Every member of the Charles Church team we have met has been friendly and helpful. They take great pride in delivering the best possible homes and the neighbours we have met all seem very happy to be living here too.We are so grateful for our new home. First time buyers - Harland Farm

We are currently going through the process of buying a house on the Harland Farm estate in Uckfield. So far we have had a lovely experience with buying our first home. Francesca on the sales team has been super helpful all the way through with helping us chose options for the house, and keeping us updated. Steve, one of the site Managers, was great to keep us updated and friendly, showed us around the plot and was able to answer all our questions. We have been receiving exciting photo updates of the plot from Darren from Persimmon homes and he is quick to reply to any questions. Darren even went above expectations in arranging for us to beable to pick up a spare tile that we can use to help with picking flooring. We are excited to move closer to completion, so far our experience with the whole Charles Church team has been fantastic.

Mascalls Grange Development

While all new builds have issues, I for one have had very few, and those I have had have been fixed promptly and without needing constant nagging. The sales staff where extremely helpful (Russel, Tom and Holly) and once we moved in, TOM N, on site has been really great at getting our snags fixed both quickly and without fuss. Its people like these that make buying a new house a pleasure. Also, a thank you to Craig for keeping everyone honest and checking with me that things had been done.

Don't be in a rush to get issues sorted ...

We bought a house with Charles Church in August 2022. We have had a quite a few issues with the house, some relatively important (such as lack of ventilation in the loft due to poor construction of the roof) and some more minors. Although issues are to be expected with a new house, one aspect that has been consistently disappointing is the time it takes for Charles Church/Persimmon to address them once they are reported. Our garden has major drainage issues, which were reported back in January/February. We only had an inspection in April, and this issue is still not addressed, our garden is pretty much a mud pit. The garden will need to be overturned for the drainage to be fixed, which means that with the resting time needed once the new lawn has been laid, we probably won't be able to enjoy our garden this summer (so a whole year without being able to enjoy our garden). Our loft, which was so poorly ventilated that we got water leaks during the winter, is still not fully fixed, and we have been living with stains on the celling since December. There are many things we like about the house, but it's been a drain to engage with CC/Persimmon. It feels at time they are reluctant to find a fast and satisfactory solution, and any issue will require multiple visits (each one requiring a day blocked waiting at home). Some of the staff are helpful, but we clearly feel that a peaceful enjoyment of our house is not a priority at all for CC/Persimmon.

We recently reserved a plot at Harlands park and have been really pleased with how kind and attentive everyone has been. The development looks great already, with lots of planting, and the people already living there we met while visiting have been very friendly.We're getting update photos from Darren of both our house and the general site from drone shots, which is cool to see.Excited to be selecting our options with Francesca this week. We have lived at Harlands Park for six…

We have lived at Harlands Park for six months. Initially we were a little nervous about moving to our first ‘New Build’ - but we couldn’t be happier. The storage is fabulous, the kitchen/diner light and sunny and our garden is much bigger than we had thought. The exterior landscaping around our property is excellent and well laid out. The house feels warm and insulated and has been decorated to a high standard. Steve the site manager and Steve Andre have been so helpful and kind.Darren sends us updates on the development as a whole, which is good to know.
