TrustpilotCowboy builders !
Bought one of the countries first "eco houses" in the Vista development in Peterborough. The house design is actually lovely, but that's where it stops. Rainwater harvesting system was not fitted/plumbed correctly, a plumber advised us to switch it permanently to the mains. The solar water system was never even wired up ! Morris homes then 'fixed it'. Just found out it was still never even connected and working. They then informed me that it is now out of warranty and they have closed my case. Appalling customer service and build quality. Absolute bunch of cowboys. Do not waste your hard earned money on a Morris Home.

TrustpilotUpholland gardens.
Upholland gardens. After reading many reviews both good and bad, I can’t help but think it is often who you deal with and how you approach them. I have had a few small problems which is expected on new builds. As a veteran and a stickler for high standards and perfection but also a realist I took time to speak directly to the site manager, builders, groundwork’s team and landscaping guys. I am pleased to note that any issues where dealt with in a timely manner and to satisfaction. No shouting, no legal issues, no fuss, just good old communication and get it done attitude. The site manager heading up customer care as well as site sales representative on site have been superb both before and after moving in.Myles site manager and Pam in sales office.Thank you both.People. Please understand that nothing is perfect and teething problems will pop up from time to time on new builds. take time to speak to site / customer care team politely. My experience with Morris homes thus far has been superb and I have also taken into consideration and took time to understand the issues both them and us are dealing with during the COVID-19 issue . Time to lace up the boots and crack on. Stay safe, Enjoy your new homes and Best regards to you all.D

TrustpilotMorris Homes - Wintringham
We bought a morris home on the new Wintringham estate in St Neots. The sales team have been nothing but wonderful from start to finish. Very personable and always helpful. The site manager has also been stellar and started sorting out snags as soon as we moved in. I would also like to give a special shout-out to Liam and Angela. They were, and continue to be, superstars.

Absolutely shocking service by customer care.I'm on a site with a few years of building left and have been in my house 2 and half years.Morris homes left the soil pipe in the loft unfinished leading to me having a damp patch come through my bedroom ceiling. Whilst i understand my warranty on the house has expired it would take nothing to send someone over to take a look at there mistake. But no they are not interested so if i was you i'd look elsewhere if you want a decent aftercare services.

Visited the site to view properties in comparison to another development before making a final choice. Hannah on site was exceptionally helpful and took time to talk us through options and show us the site. Now really interested in this development!

TrustpilotUnfinished estate
Unfinished estate. Arrogant company just ignores it. Google maps Poppyfield Road Northampton and see for yourself. Estate members have been asking for years for the basic provision of a surfaced road but this is too much to ask Morris homes. Unacceptable.

TrustpilotI visited Morris homes
I visited Morris homes, Wintringham, St Neots to look for our first home. We didn't have an appointment, however, Angela the sales advisor was so welcoming and helpful. We will certainly look to buy a Morris home once we have enough deposit saved as the development looked really great and the homes have a lot of character for new build homes.

TrustpilotMorris Homes - opt out of service charges when buying freehold
Morris Homes - one person has bought the freehold and also managed to get out of paying SERVICE CHARGES - over £200 a year which increases, so there is one solicitor out there that knows where there is a loophole, but how do we find them? The person will not tell us how they did it - probably part of the deal - so I advise everyone to tell solicitors this has been legally done and how do we all do the same?

TrustpilotIf I could give this company zero stars…
If I could give this company zero stars I would. 1 star is definitely 1 too many. Please don't make the mistake I made in thinking this is a reputable company to deal with because they certainly are not. Their customer service is appalling. They will tell you anything to get you to sign up for one of their houses, if your sale takes a little bit longer than expected you are hounded by the sales person. Then god forbid your sale falls through as mine has they will avoid you then at all costs. All I want is my £500 back, which I was told on the day I would get back if there were any problems. I have been avoided, lied to and recently completely ignored. I suggest if you do feel the need to have to deal with this company you do so with wide open eyes because they are not all they make out to be. On the whole a bunch of complete liars.

TrustpilotVery disappointed with Morris homes
Very disappointed with Morris homes, I thought they were different from the other developers but I was wrong. We have had issues after issues since we moved into our new built. The most recent issue is to so with a product they used in our built which was not strong enough therefore has caused water ingress into our bathroom. Despite asking them to put it right, they have refused stating that it was not reported within 2 yrs.how can one predict progressed effect in an area of the house that is not visible, this is in the loft in the insulation area.

TrustpilotNever buy freehold - unable to sell property!
I purchased my Morris home as new as had to option to buy freehold so I did. I have now come to sell the property and cannot sell due to restrictions on the land registry. There are 7 other parties on the land that I am suppose to own!!! I have been unable to sell my property and this has been going on for almost two years now!!! So whether you buy free hold or lease you are unable to sell your property on!! I am taking them to court and hopefully others will too

TrustpilotUnethical builder
Unethical builder, will sell your freehold without you knowing, giving you no option to buy it yourself. They specialise in leasehold sales, so you never truly own the home, you rent for tenure at the property. Expect a minimum payment of £250 a year to the freeholder (yet the freeholder has no responsibility for the property, it's just s money making scam). They advise you can buy the freehold after 2 years, but this is bull as they sell it on and don't contact you to give you the option. Furthermore, they also "Fleecehold" the area/estate, you pay a service charge for repairs and upkeep of the estate, minimum £150 a year out of your pocket. So not only do you spend £150k+ got the property and pay for a mortgage, insurance etc.. you also pay these fees mentioned above, they tend to avoid mentioning this explicitly too.

Trustpilot"Online reviews are just a guide"
People say online reviews are just a guide. Well this review is here to confirm this is a load of trash. Morris are shocking. Don't get me wrong. The style of the house is nice. But that's as far as it goes. "Can you rate us good and our after care!" Urm.. no. get lost geeza. Signing my 3 week hand over document as satisfactory then pissing off is not on. Same goes for the after care. I have a warped front door. They signed it off as complete and didn't even turn up. Drive way is trashed. House looses so much heat. The shower wasn't even sealed. The site manager disapeared half way through my demo and never heard from him again. Not even going to mention the pre sale disorganization. Oh and the iron railings they decided to erect with no notice. On my land! So... to summarise and put it blunt. They dog. ****

Trustpilot100% avoid!
Absolutely awful customer service once you buy the house. Lots of problems including bad drainage that means the whole house smells. Massive pass the blame attitude and complete disinterest in fixing problems. That’s if you can actually get them to admit to there being a problem or something being their fault in the first place. Dealt with multiple incredibly rude site managers and unhelpful after care staff. Avoid Morris Homes at all cost, it’s just not worth it!

TrustpilotI appreciate new houses have snagging…
I appreciate new houses have snagging lists and it’s great that these get rectified. However, it’s concern concerning when a plumber fits a shower control upside down because he’s messed the rest up and it’s the only way he can fit it on! More concerning that someone must sign work off before you sell these houses.Still waiting on 2 big jobs but now it’s been handed to customer services to deal it feels nothing is happening.
