Very friendly and helpful team. Although the purchase took a long time they were consistent with trying to push the purchase through as soon as possible. Joe and Pippa were professional and friendly.

Sue was very good at keeping us informed.

Sue was very good at keeping us informed of the progress with the sale which was dragging on due to external influences. Earlier on when dealing with another colleague, I felt I was having to do the chasing but it was much better when Sue took over and she made a massive effort to make sure everything was put in place for us.

It was a pleasure working with Savills…

It was a pleasure working with Savills for our house purchase and it was by far the best experience of buying a property I have had. From start to finish, we were kept up to date and served extremely well. Lucy Kirkshaw-Staines was exceptional and really helped the whole process along. Highly recommended, 5 STAR!

We had a great service from Savills

We had a great service from Savills. Charles Lang and Robert Jacobs introduced us to the vendors of a house we really wanted. A prompt offer was accepted and Savills then marketed our house and found the ideal buyer. The whole process went from initial offer to completion in under nine months which was a miracle given the size and complexity of the properties involved. Throughout the process Charles, Robert and the team at Savills went out of their way to be as helpful and supportive as possible. Moving house is notoriously stressful but Savills made it so much easier. Thanks to them, we now have a house we love and our 'downsize' leaves us exactly where we want to be.

Angus Wong property manager

Angus Wong has been our property manager this year and we’ve had a very positive experience. He has treated the management of the property as diligently as if it was his own, been a pleasure to communicate with, always prompt and efficient. Highly recommend.

Savills are extremely professional, from the very first engagement they followed a clear and disciplined format and arranged photo's, plans and had viewings within a week. Their communication was prompt, clear and regular, we had offers within 2 weeks and and accepted within 3. From the start of the engagement to selling our home in 1 month. Ironically from buyers that "the agency of Harpenden" didn't bother showing our house because "they're experts" which clearly isn't the case. If you're thinking of selling especially above the £2m range, trust Savills, they have geographic breadth, social media outreach and ultimately honest and professional. Don't believe the hype that you need to sell via one agency in Harpenden it's simply not true.

Our agent

Our agent, Karl Matier, was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process of selling and buying our house. The market was extremely difficult, as were some of the buyers in the chain, but he made every effort to keep things going and speed the process up. He kept in touch regularly throughout and remained calm under, what was, a very stressful procedure.

Charged twice at Intu for parking. Had to pay again as one machine must have been faulty and the barriers would not raise for my car. Paid again and was allowed to leave. Shockingly poor service

Shockingly poor service. Please beware if Savills are the property service agents ie taking care of the entire building block. When you want to sell/buy a property then they are supposed to provide a management pack and are paid for it. For us it has been over 43 days and still nothing from them. Without the management pack we can not proceed and the process is stuck. There have been several chaser emails but still nothing.Am trying to figure out who is the senior management to contact to expedite this matter.Update- after writing this review the pack was provided within 6 hours. Thank you to Trustpilot.

We met Samantha Rose from Savills Harpenden at what is now our new home, she initially showed us around the house. we found Samantha to be friendly, knowledgeable and a total professional! Don't trust them

I was looking for a house in our area, I found one on Savills auction, I contacted them, they put my name on the bidder after the closing time, I said to the agent that my mortgage is not ready yet, he said just go for it, I made the bidding over the phone with the agent, Mr. Ralph Mandez, he kept pushing me, make an offer, I told him I'm not aware of the auction rules but he kept pushing me to bid, I've got the bid, I told him next day that I can't go ahead, I'm not prepared, he said just make the deposit and I will let the next bidder to take it, I made a deposit of £50k then he said the next bidder doesn't have an approved mortgage. he gave me 6 weeks to get the mortgage and the full amount, it was during Christmas time all offices were closed. I managed to make the mortgage at last, then the seller's solicitor send my solicitor an email saying that the that completion has not been able to take place the Contract has been rescinded and your deposit forfeited. This is under the auction rules. I contacted the agent, I even paid the surveyor to check, but they refuse.I need them to reconsider, I find it unfair to get my money that earn that easy, I know I made a mistake but I was under pressure from the agent, and now my money was stolen from me, it’s like a fool play

My experience with the Harpenden team was exceptional. Excellent communication and sound advice throughout the process. I was so impressed that although we didn’t quite make the asking price I offered to increase their % fee because the quality of their work had been so outstanding. Never doubted for a single second they were doing their best in my interests.

Our property has been let and managed by Savills for the last 5 years. We had a change of tenant after over 4 years and Simone and Ellie were great in finding us a new tenant and achieved what was promised. They were both a great help with advice on work to the house and kept in touch throughout making the reletting a smooth and straightforward transition for both us and the family taking the new tenancy.

Doug at Savills was absolutely brilliant throughout our purchase in Harpenden. Worst block management company, very unprofessional

Savills took over management of our luxury estate in Paddington a year ago and, sadly, transformed it into an environment that feels closer to a neglected urban area. Despite our repeated attempts at civilized conversation and requests for resolution of pressing issues, Savills has consistently let us down. One of our main concerns is the staff's professionalism, or lack thereof. Their working hours seem limited, they fail to respond appropriately to reports of illicit activities within the estate, and they've even resorted to blocking communication from residents who've raised issues.Adding to our frustration is their habit of hiring friends and family members for key roles. Our gardening and maintenance services, for example, have noticeably declined in quality due to lack of commitment and competency.Security in the estate has also dramatically worsened under Savills' management. Despite being promised 24/7 concierge and security, we've experienced periods with no security officers present during the day. In one alarming incident, an intruder managed to enter a flat and cause distress to its inhabitants by getting naked, peeing on a bed and attacking the husband of a pregnant lady. Despite clear evidence, Savills denied any culpability for this incident.Cleanliness is another casualty of Savills' lackluster management. Rats in the bin rooms and persistently dirty common areas are now common sights. Lifts and entrance doors remain broken for extended periods. The final blow came when Savills decided to inflate our service charge by 40% upon their impending departure. It appears they're trying to make a final financial gain before we replace them with a more professional agency. If you know Savills manages a residence you're interested in, my advice is run away. Instead of enjoying the comforts of our flats, we residents find ourselves investing significant time and energy into resolving issues that Savills should have addressed. Their unprofessional conduct borders on the criminal, from facilitating unsafe conditions to taking our hard-earned money without providing the services we've paid for. This review could be a novel, but to sum it up, Savills staff are unprofessional, unhelpful, and rude. You go higher up the chain, and they all protect each other with no accountability for anything. I really cannot wish anyone to have to deal with Savills. But honest hard-working people will eventually win as we keep hearing news about how they're getting removed of many estates for their unprofessionalism.

It's a shameless company who doesn't care about you at all. Waiting 8 months to relocate difrent apartment. First seven months was told it's a plumbing issue and i need wait, before I can move. Told they can't fix, and after that i was offered difrent apartment, and they let someone else live in before us. And told it's temporary, to be patient and wait. Seriously, how long they will lie to us. There is no end.. Terrible company, never saw anyone else like them.

Think Twice ! If you are about to rent an accommodation managed by Savills. I lived in Sienna House Sutton, their 'don't care' attitude drive me nuts

Think Twice ! if you are about to rent an accommodation managed by Savills. I lived in Sienna House, Sutton. All the issues or bad experience stem from their 'who cares' attitude as rental properties in Sutton are in high demand. Also, they use Community Utilities (CU) as the sole utilities provider at Sienna House which drove me (and a lot of other residents) NUTS.- I paid a higher price for an apartment with a bigger terrace, however, there was hygiene issue (pigeons) in the terrace. I could not even open the window next to the terrace because the feathers and the droppings of the pigeons. I reported /complained in March 2022 and it was not resolved (in fact, Savills did NOTHING ) until I moved out in early 2023. The residential team was very sophisticated in testing tenants' patience and let you give up. They knew that moving house is not easy especially when there was a high demand in rental properties. They were so kind to potential tenants when conducting site visit so that they always have a long waiting list but they will change their masks again when dealing with existing tenants- The sole utilities provider was Community Utilities (CU). They charged me ~390 GBP for the first 19 days. Apparently, it was wrong and it took months to get it corrected. During that time, I sent many emails and phone calls. Like Savills, they were good at testing my patience and resilience. There were many other cases of overcharge, non-issue of bills and then giving tenants surprises ....(search CU at Trustpilot and you can see other people feedback)- Community Utilities did not give the residents the credit of government energy support in the monthly bills since Oct 2022. It was only until late January 2023 when UC provided the tenants a link to the government website to apply the support directly. However, my application was declined by the government because I longer live in Sienna House when I applied. The website emailed me and asked me to contact UC to arrange. When I contacted UC (several times), their only answer were : Please apply through the government website. I felt like I was talking to robots. I was stuck now and lost several months of government energy support. The point about Savills was, when I moved out of Sienna House and applied for the refund of my rental deposit, Savills asked me to either (1) settle the last month of utilities bill in full issued by UC (note, no energy credit was ever given in their bills !) and provided the proof or (2) let Savills deduct the outstanding utilities bills and refund the balance. When I said to Savills that I will settle the bill by the deadline directly with UC because it is a matter between me and UC, Savills said No REFUND will be sent to me until the utilities bill was settled. With that, I suspect that UC (Savills also named it 'Amber' ) and Savills were related companies. Now, when I emailed UC (cc Savills) asking for help regarding the missing energy support, Savills acted like they were non-exist (note ! Savills was super helpful to UC when collecting the money from the last utilities bill). Savills and UC were a perfect combination in testing my patience and stress tolerance. Should I just regard myself as unlucky and let go while all of my friends have already received 400GBP support already by end of March 2023 ?I am keen to see whether Savills will take my feedback seriously and try to help. As a tenant of Sienna House, I had to use UC, not at my choice at all. I hope Savills will provide me with a practical way of contacting someone who can really help (not the residential management team at Sienna House because I have given up on them)

Very professional service! Highly recommended!5/5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 English is our second language, but Mr Greg & Mr Jay from Savills helped us a lot to explain everything to us, and they even offered an extension in order to help us getting all our funds on time, and they even discussed with our solicitor, in order to speed up the process and work together to have a smooth and pleasant transaction.I will recommend Savills to all my friends and relatives. Very nice properties for a live auction where you can make your bid very easy and enjoy the bidding process in the mean time.Once again, thanks again for all your help. Hope to have this transaction completed soon.
