We would highly recommend Nicky and Nick North to manage the sale of your home. Nothing has felt like too much trouble, from Nicky’s initial encouragement and presentation to get our home to market generating a healthy interest. Through to Nick’s help securing the best buyer, advising on our purchase then focusing the whole chain on a moving week then date! I won’t lie it has felt like an age, but in hindsight our sale, purchase and competition of a chain with 7 properties in 6 months now feels like a significant achievement! It’s definitely thanks to the tenacity and encouragement from Nick and Nicky North.

I like most people never write reviews...as quite frankly I dont have the time or receive a service that warrants it. For North Estates I make an exception as this is the second property they have sold on my behalf and on both occasions the service has been outstanding and exceptional. I cannot praise their professionalism enough. The particulars and marketing they produce are of the highest quality. My own property being a development opportunty was rather niche and not the easiest to sell but again North Estates overcame all hurdles and maximised my sale price in a timely manner with a successful sale. Being a husband and wife team Nick and Nicky own the business so your business is their livelihood which makes all the difference compared to all the sub standard high street chains we all know and loathe. Choosing North Estates for my sales is the best choice I ever made, wouldn't use anyone else and hand on heart would recommend to all.

Nick and Nicky at North Estates helped us sell our house in St Albans and we think they did a fantastic job! They worked very quickly to get us on the market, and presented the house really well, generating lots of interest. Nicky's estimate for the price we could get for our home was spot-on, and they secured a good price for us. Then Nick took over in working with the rest of the chain to get things moving and helped us get it over the line despite some hiccups further up the chain! They provided great value for money - their marketing materials were great, the 360 tour was super, they were professional and courteous throughout, and worked well with the rest of the chain to ensure we completed in the timescale we needed. Altogether a positive experience from start to finish. North Estates provide a very professional service with excellent marketing (including the online 360 tour which is great), accompanied viewings and careful communication with all parties throughout to keep the sale on track with as little stress as possible. They gave us good advice on pricing and their marketing was excellent - they were the only agent we saw who was on three portals, their photography was first rate and they also offered a 360 tour which was a very useful selling tool. We recently bought a house where Nick and Nicky were the sellers estate agents. What a breath of fresh air! We had viewed a few properties with them but they knew we had a particular area/roads in mind so went out of their way to get us an early viewing when the right house came up. No game playing but honest conversations and realistic advice meant we had an offer accepted. Hands down the most competent people involved in our chain, they were responsive, easy to communicate with, sensible and pragmatic when trying to move things forward. When everything almost fell apart due to incompetence elsewhere in the chain they went above and beyond to help us manage the short term solution (even late on a Friday) and finally get it all resolved shortly after. After a couple of poor experiences with other estates agents in St Albans, we engaged with Nick and Nicky, and our experience from that point on could not have been more contrasting. Nick & Nicky are professional and supportive, and the personal nature of their service really makes them stand out. They guided us through the process and were always at the end of the phone/email when we had questions. They are extremely knowledgeable about the local area and we were very pleased with the photos and video they created to market our house. We swapped to North having had no success with a larger agency after several months. We had seen their signs locally and heard good things. We also liked that they supported our local primary school. As soon as I met Nicky I knew she would show people around my home as I would, the decision was made and within a few weeks we’d accepted an offer. North then went on to find us our new home. The overall service was excellent, having just two people as points of contact made things much easier and consistent. I never had to explain to ‘someone in the office’ the background to my call, as it was only ever Nicky or Nick I spoke to, and they knew exactly what was happening. Friendly, professional and efficient Estate Agents!

Went for several viewings all in one day with Nicky. She was brilliant; very friendly and enthusiastic. Adjusted our viewing times on the spot because we had other viewings that fell through, and was very informative about the houses and St Albans in general. She even got us follow her car on a busy Saturday afternoon to avoid the traffic by the high street - we are new to St Albans and didn't really know our way around at that point! All of the houses on their website are presented really well, and all the ones we saw were a true reflection of the ads online. In fact, the one we ended up buying was even nicer in person. I particularly like the 360 viewing tool that they offer via Rightmove. Once the sale was underway, Nick kept on top of emails and chasing up solicitors. They always answered promptly and I was impressed with how well they kept tabs on the entire purchase which went on for 3 months. I would highly recommend these Estate Agents. If we are ever to sell or buy again, I hope they are still around.

Very professional and responsive

As a buyer we felt that they were working as much for us as the seller. We really liked the clarity of the website and we found the virtual tour very helpful. We had a tight deadline and Nick and Nicky needed to do a lot of chasing on all sides and they were excellent at keeping us informed of progress and next steps. Even after the sale had completed they were quick to turnaround any quick questions. As we are not familiar with St Albans it was also great to get recommendations and insight into the area from their personal experience and extensive knowledge.
