Misleading, rude staff. Will let you down for sure, as they did with me and many others!

Rude and dishonest company. Not professional whatsoever. The representative are very rude, they don't communicate with each other. they are very confused and don't really know how to deal with clients. They have been dishonest with me and very negative of the sale/rent/ manage my property. Robinson will let you down for sure! They have done to me and I am sure I am not the only person. My next step will be to report Robinson to trading standard. I believe if their is any kind of misleading should be reported as this can affect more people if not dealt with. Even from the reply you can tell how Robinson don’t care about they client. Misleading clients is breaking the law mr Director! Shame that you don’t think that!

Very poor communication

Very poor communicationEDIT TO INITIAL ENTRYI received a phone call to discuss why I had given a poor review of the communications and I now see the response below that everything stemmed from setting a moving date, this is incorrect, which is another reflection of the poor communication from Robinsons. I explained on the phone that we were unable to contact Robinsons on many occasions to discuss the purchase of a property and whilst many times I was told someone would phone back, they very rarely did. We found it very disheartening to eventually speak to disinterested staff, one in particular. What was also frustrating was that solicitors were also struggling to contact Robinsons. I made it very clear I my phone call following my review that I was aware that the agreement to moving dates was down to solicitors and not Robinsons. I wouldn't recommend.

Cheap but not value for money.

Cheap but not value for money.Although the cheapest in the area they did not seem to actively market the property, keep us up updated or give us a direct/constant contact point.They promised to do the viewings on a vacant property but never managed a single one.Despite that we fell lucky and a buyer was found very quickly who liked the house, the area and wanted to move quickly. We did the negotiations and the buyer pushed the sale through quickly, no involvement or help by Robinsons.The biggest expense in this house sale, that only lasted 2 months, was Robinsons. The bill was 3 times the legal fees!!

Great service

Called to view a property and was told they had accepted an offer so couldn’t view but if I left my number just incase . A week later got a call to see if I wanted to view , saw it the next day , rang the office put in an offer which was accepted straight away , even though we are not their client they have have kept me up to date all the way through . I’d not have a problem using them in the future . Very professional great staff very courteous. 5 stars .

Fantastic throughout!

Fantastic throughout!! A huge thank you to everyone at the Darlington office. My house sold very quickly and the staff were so attentive from start to finish. Couldn’t of asked for a better level of service!Even with the current pandemic, they still continued to provide an amazing service to ensure a smooth house sale. Currently living next door to a…

Currently living next door to a property rented out by Robinson’s estate agent, we share a fence that is the rented houses responsibility, 1/2 of the fence is practically falling down and was reported by the tenant approx 8 weeks ago which has still not been repaired. After chasing this up today we have been told as it’s not an emergency and they are unable to give us a timescale of how long the repair/replacement is going to take. I thought Robinson’s would have a little more pride in the appearance of the houses they rent out and for the people living next door to them but obviously I was wrong.It is now the 2nd of July and still the fence has not been repaired! I look forward to your response Mr Wright.

A professional customer focused organisation,great to work with..

I picked Robinsons estate agents to sell two properties because they appeared to offer the best combination of local service and value for money. During the course of the sales there were a number of problems around surveys etc and Robinsons went out of their way to assist. They were always contactable and responsive and came up with solutions which enabled the sales to proceed. They made what could have been very difficult very straightforward, particularly as I do not live in the area. Elaine in particular in the middlesbrough office was great to deal and was very customer focussed. I would not hesitate to recommend Robinsons.

From my initial phone call to arrange an apt for someone to come out & discus renting out my apartment, to Robinsons finding me a tenant ... which can i just say was within a month ! , the service from valuers to office staff has been outstanding. No heavy sales pitches, just friendly , professional & enthusiastic staff. They genuinely wanted to help me find a tenant & they have done this quickly & efficiently. They have talked me through issues I have had & constantly reassured me on points I have risen or worried about .Communication is also a good point .. with regular feedback & updates. House sold within a week

House sold within a week and moved to my new home in less than eight weeks.Very pleased with the proactive service provided by Robinsons. Robinsons valued my property higher than rival agents so I feel by using them I obtained a better price. They also have the added advantage of their office being based in Ingleby unlike some competitors which are basically an office at an industrial estate that you can't gain access to unless you wait to be 'buzzed' in via intercom.Will happily use again.

I feel sorry there had to deal with miller homes during the sale of my next house my soliciter has had the same trouble. all estate agents should not take on miller home part ex change deals. as there don't get back to estate agents or soliciter. thank you all so much great great stuff but 0 out a million to miller homes shocking

Robinsons were helpful from the start. As we were first time buyers we weren't really sure of the process, Sacha Bambrough ensured we understood the process and an estimate of how long it would it take. They provided updates throughout the process to ensure we were kept in the loop. When the sale had completed Sacha rang to inform me the keys were available to collect. We had a great experience and would recommend purchasing a home from Robinsons to anyone.

Ok but not communicative enough

Fine but not very communicative. Didn't really hear from them at all throughout the almost year long process of buying this house unless we called them. After a few months of nothing we had called and asked to be updated every couple of weeks, at least once a month, on the vendors progress as we were waiting for them to find something. We were promised this would happen and it would be flagged up to do so, after this didn't happen a few months later we asked again and the lady said she would keep it on her desk so she would remember, not sure it was the best system as we were updated a total of zero times. When I did call and speak to them they were very friendly people but not very knowledgeable of the situation and got a couple of different stories each time that contradicted what the vendors told us. Now we've moved in we've found that along with all the extensive work to do many items are broken that we didn't know about - the hobs, cooker hood, taps, sink, plumbing issues and etc we just wish we were told in advance so we had the money set aside for these things especially since we overpaid for the overvalued property because we liked the site and there was nothing else for sale for the whole time that suited but the broken stuff is probably more the previous owners keeping it from us than Robinson's, I'd hope. Needless to say we would have negotiated a cost for these things considering the other issues.Expected better service all round but got there in the end and staff are friendly enough.

Over a decade of excellent service

I used Robinsons for over a decade to manage my student let in Durham City, only moving on following the sale of the property. They were excellent throughout my time as a landlord. They know their market inside out, achieved good value for repairs and maintenance and did exactly what they were supposed to - i.e. took the pressure away from being a landlord. On more than one occasion, we had to deal with difficult tenants. Robinsons always responded with speed, professionalism and equanimity, frequently going above and beyond to ensure a smooth tenancy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anybody and I thank them for the terrific service that they provided me over such a long period!
