I was buying a property and Donald was the contact at Foxtons for the sale. He was very helpful throughout, particularly at the beginning with helping to source some documents quickly so I could make a rapid offer, and at the end with chasing up some solicitors so we could get the sale over the line. He was accessible, friendly and helpful throughout the process.

Nothando gave us our dream home. 💛💚She was very knowledgeable about the place, was easy to contact, listens to our concerns and she responds as soon as she can. She quickly made us feel at ease with her warm and lively personality. I would recommend Foxtons to other renters. Thank you so much, Nothando for your great service. ☺️🥂🎉 …

Professional, punctual, polite, prompt

Five stars for Mr. Hassan Bacchus of Foxtons. He is extremely professional, polite, and reliable. He managed to find great tenants and rent out my property in only one week.

Tehreen was so helpful and really took our needs into account, locating properties within our price range and specific requirements. I really appreciated her help going above and beyond including transport for disabled husband. She was so helpful and kind and the most thoughtful and responsive agent. Thank you Tehreen.

Foxtons wrongly extended our tenancy…

Foxtons wrongly extended our tenancy end date then withheld our deposit on non payment of rent grounds. Even after acknowledging their 'error' it took 2 months for them to correct it. The money was only returned after a letter before action for a small claims court was sent. Other customers are advised to exercise extreme caution with how deposits are safeguarded.

I was spoken to quite rudely on the phone with agents pushing for an earlier viewing or just scheduling a viewing without asking for availabilities. I have told agents multiple times to stop calling me but this was not heard. I even removed my information from the portal and noted that I am no longer looking for a property. I still receive 3-4 calls a day whilst informing them that I do not want to rent through them.

Foxtons Letting Commission…

Just to share my experience and warn anybody thinking of using Foxtons letting services. Foxtons will be vey happy to take full year commission in advance but if your tenant moves out before the full year period, Foxtons will not refund your commission in cash but just leave the amount as a credit in your account even you no longer have the intention to rent out your property. Area director of Foxtons claimed that this is in line with Foxtons terms of business. Beware before you choose Foxtons letting services.

We had such a great experience working with Paris. From start to finish, she was professional, responsive, and genuinely supportive throughout the entire process! She really went above and beyond to help us secure our dream flat 🤎 Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a lovely estate agent.

I truly do not understand who in their…

I truly do not understand who in their right mind has ever rated Foxtons 5 stars. Unfortunately I have been in contact with them at multiple occasions but I am happy to say that today was the last. They arrange viewings for properties that has already been let, WHY not cancel if anything happened between the time of booking and the viewing actually taking place. This seems to be a common occurrence for Foxtons. Other than that, the agents are the rudest human beings I have ever spoken to. Surely I’ve not been unfortunate enough to have come across the ONLY employees at Foxtons that hate their jobs so this seems to be a big issue over there. When calling it seems as though you just ruined their entire day. I’m SORRY I was interested in the properties you have listed, that by the way isn’t even available. If calls like these are a displeasure to the agents I would suggest removing the ads.

I have recently sold my property through Foxtons in Dulwich and have received an exceptional service throughout the whole process. I would like to especially thank Attiya Razaq for all her hard work throughout. As I live abroad, Attiya went the extra mile visiting my home a number of times to ensure everything was okay with the property before exchange and also helped me arrange removals and cleaners through Foxtons concierge services. I would recommend anyone living abroad to enlist Foxtons to sell your home as they have someone within the business that can help with everything property related. Thanks to Attiya and Foxtons for selling my house in East Dulwich! David Murty

We just purchased our flat with the help of Beth Cooter. Beth was always contactable. She was very reliable and went over and above to convey information back and forth between us and the seller. It ended up being a long and complicated sale, but it would have been a lot longer without Beth’s perseverance! Thanks so much! Freya and Benny

Incompetence and lies on a legendary scale!

I had my property up for sale with Foxtons, an offer collapsed, and so I decided to consider rental. After I spoke to the rental department, they took a renter into my property without my permission, hadn't even signed a contract. Luckily, the person liked it and offered a good rent. The agent lied to the renter and me, messed up three contracts, so by the time he signed the fourth contract on my behalf, the renter had been in my flat for 10 days. Lucky he signed! He told me that I could not protect the deposit...lie. He told me that the second 6-month rent payment would be paid on the fourth month...lie. And it was not paid in advance on the 5th month like every other agent; the tenant is now late with the second 6-month payment. I complained to the manager, but he ignored my complaints. The whole office is corrupt. Really, do yourself a favour, there are good letting agents out there, Foxtons is not one of them.

Tenants experience

We were tenants in a property Sarah Kelsey managed, and were very grateful for her attentiveness and friendliness. If there was ever any issues with the property Sarah was quick to action them and they were resolved very quickly.

Foxtons are a joke. Firstly, our house was incredibly dirty when we first moved in, not what you're expected on the arrival to your new home. We were then promised a cleaning service, but never received one but they charged the previous tenants £250, pocketing the previous tenants deposit but never cleaning our house. We then had no inventory, and I asked many times over phone and email (even in person) and still they never sent out an inventory. They have now updated on our portal (a year later) an inventory document which is said to have been created last year. Which is a lie. Our boiler and oven broke over the Christmas period, and because Foxtons are so disorganised we couldn't get through to any of the services they provided on their answer phone (they love the answer phone because they never seem to pick up). So I outsourced someone to repair our oven in time for Christmas and paid myself, hoping to be reimbursed by Foxtons. Sadly not, they never replied to me. During the winter months, we were battling a temperamental boiler which kept breaking. The radiator in my room didn't work for the whole winter and Foxtons kept ignoring our request for a new boiler because we were living with no heating or hot water for months. Finally, towards the end of the cold winter months, Foxtons finally agreed to organise a new boiler installation. On top of all this, they are now increasing our rent after our house wasn't working properly for half a year. J O K E :)

Donald has been incredible throughout the sale of my property. He has been well organised, coordinated, helpful and very trust worthy. He has succeeded in what he set out to do and I value his expertise highly. A premium property needs a premium sales representative, and Donald definitely fits this spec. Kindest regards, Morteza

New X Foxtons is appalling

New Cross Gate letting office is appalling. I had a misfortune to invite them a few years back for valuation and then when changed my mind, asked them to delete me from their database as wasn't planning to do anything with my house. And guess what every year I am receiving unsolicited calls inquiring about valuation, letting, selling. They promise to delete my number every time they call once every half a year in average, pathetic.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Foxtons which caused a huge amount of unnecessary stress. We were due to move into a rental property that we had already signed for and paid money towards. However, just two weeks before our move-out date we were suddenly told that the property would no longer be available because the landlord did not actually have the right to let the flat. This was incredibly frustrating, but we tried to move forward and quickly find another property with very limited time left before we had to leave our current home. We eventually found another flat through Foxtons but were unable to view it due to the time pressure. Despite this, we transferred the money and signed the contract. The very next day we were given more bad news, the landlord had changed her mind and decided to accept another offer, even though we had already signed and paid. What made this situation even worse was the lack of communication and support from Foxtons. It did not feel like our situation was properly explained to the landlord, despite the fact that we were now facing the possibility of having nowhere to live through no fault of our own. This entire process was extremely stressful and exhausting. We repeatedly transferred money, signed documents multiple times, and dealt with constant uncertainty. It also significantly disrupted my work at university which I had been working very hard on. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of empathy and communication throughout the process, no one even apologised for what happened. This was particularly upsetting as this was our fourth flat through Foxtons, and I previously recommended them to many people. Unfortunately, after this experience I will no longer be doing so. I have never written a complaint about a company before, but this was genuinely one of the most stressful situations I have ever been put in. Very disappointing.

My experience with Foxton's has been absolutely fantastic. Lauren always goes over and above to help me find my next home : from arranging multiple viewings to answering my (many!) questions, nothing is too much trouble. I feel very well looked after and I can truly recommend her friendly and professional service.

Priorities are wrong

Foxtons can't seem to answer simple enquiries about a property - for example "how long is the leasehold" or "what are the service charges". Instead their focus is on gaining as much information about the person inquiring as possible. Ie they have more interest in adding to a dataset of potential buyers and marketing themselves than in answering a simple enquiry. I certainly wouldn't sell with them given how they prioritise themselves over the sellers interests..... of course all this is in the guise of "customer service" but it's not really is it? It's blatant marketing and self promotion.

nightmare agents

nightmare agents. do yourself a favour and use a different one. these are the guys who give estates agents their bad name. its been almost 2 months since i completed and they still havent given me the full set of keys or removed furniture as promised. i dealt with jordan at the temple fortune branch and every day he has a new excuse. they dont respond to messages or phone calls and provide a truly awful service. there are plenty of other good agents around who provide a much better service.
