GoogleI have had a great experience of using Your Move in Southampton. Charlie came to estimate the sale price of my house and was really upfront and honest, I felt I could trust him immediately as he was saying his honest opinions rather than what I might want to hear as other estate agents had done. Frances was great througout, arranging my viewing of properties for me to buy and always prompt and helpful. Then finally Sam has been really tenacious in getting my purchase through and driving the solicitors onwards. Thanks to you all so much! A really great experience.

GoogleI wanted to share my experience with renting a property through YourMove, as it has been extremely disappointing. I rented Flat 2, 57 Portwood Road, and when I moved in, the house was not clean. I raised this issue with both the landlord and your agency, but nothing was done, leaving the property in an unclean state for two weeks. As a result, I had to make alternative arrangements for my accommodation during that time. Despite my complaints, YourMove did not take any action, citing that the property was managed by the landlord. The landlord, unfortunately, was extremely unresponsive and negligent throughout this process. I find this lack of support and accountability unacceptable. As the agent, I believe you still have a responsibility to address tenant concerns, especially when the landlord is so uncooperative. Now that I have moved out, the landlord is holding my deposit without any reason. I believe that YourMove, as the intermediary between tenants and landlords, should have taken steps to resolve this issue. Unfortunately, this experience has left me unwilling to rent through YourMove in the future. I hope this feedback will encourage you to improve the level of service provided to tenants and to ensure that landlords fulfill their responsibilities.
Good Afternoon, I’m sorry that you’ve had some troubles in the property whilst living there. As we act on a Tenant Find basis on the property, this means we only have a certain amount of control over the property condition/your deposit release. Whilst we are reassured by landlord/outgoing tenants that the properties are going cleaned in between the tenancies, it seems in this instance that this was not completed however at the time we did contact the landlord ourselves to advise you were unhappy with the condition of the property and for him to contact you. Similarly with the deposit, I can see that my colleague spoke to you at the end of July when you were struggling to reach your landlord to help with any details and we also contacted the landlord ourself to ask him to reach out to you. Unfortunately, as we do not hold the deposit on behalf of the landlord there is only a certain amount we are able to do however my advice would be to contact the Deposit Protection company directly where the deposit was held. GoogleI would never let from YOUR MOVE again. They failed us as tenants majorly them and the landlady they were meant to be in contact with. Moved us into a property that was covered in black mould and when questioning it I was called a liar even though it was in the opening inventory they had provided. Being in the property over a year and there were still major works that had to be done. Change of property mangers so I had to explain myself multiple times about the occurring situations. They used the book shelf to hide damp walls, we had the same contractors come out more than twice to just “patch the work up”. Honestly the worst experience of my life letting from them, and to think I was told at the start of my tenancy “it would be a smooth move.” Well it wasn’t! Please be careful letting from this agency!
Hi Marianna, our maintenance team acted when you reported some issues within the house and from there we worked with the landlord and yourself to provide a damp survey to find the cause of the issue. This was found to be from a crack on the render which was causing internal water damage - once the source of this was located the landlord arranged for remedial works to be completed to rectify/prevent this and redecorate accordingly. We unfortunately cannot control one of our maintenance team going on maternity leave however I welcome Josephine to re-confirm details with yourself to ensure there hasn't been any changes in the house. Whilst I do share your frustration that there were some ongoing works during your time at the house, we unfortunately also had to handle rubbish removal/cleaning once you vacated. GoogleI had two properties become available at the same time in October 2022. I called up and spoke to Hayley Clarke - what a cheerful person she is. As I was anxious about the amount of work that goes into getting all paperwork etc done, she alleviated all my concerns. She found tenants for both properties in no time at all, and ‘held my hand’ with all the paperwork I had to produce. She was professional from beginning to end and I would highly recommend her services to any landlord looking to rent out their property.

GoogleWe all known that it is very very difficult to rent a house this year. This summer, I helped my younger sister find a house. I need to take a train from London to Southampton. The whole street here is full of real estate agency offices. I went to almost every company, but finally chose here. I think I am really lucky, the staff here called Patrick is very friendly, patient, useful, he really help me step by step to complete all the things. I am so busy these days or I will definitely come back Southampton to visit and thank him. A gentleman who showed me the property (sorry I cannot remember the name) is also very kindly person. Anyway, I highly recommend here. You will never regret to choose here.

GoogleI wanted to highlight the truly outstanding work that Max Johnstone-Pope (Senior Sales Consultant) has undertaken during the process of selling our flat. Max has consistently gone above and beyond and made a hard sell considerably easier. We bought our flat through Max 4+ years ago, when selling the flat we quickly knew whom we wanted to work with, Max. We have had nothing but a positive experience working with Max and can see how Max is suited to work in this profession, through his extremely approachable attitude and readiness to help in all situations. GoogleAfter having a meeting with Charlie to obtain valuations for a small new build development I was more than happy with the manor and professionalism and the advise I was given, I proceeded to instruct Charlie and his team to market the four properties, I was kept up to date with all matters relating to the properties which I left in their capable hands! and before long the properties were sold, excellent service! competitive rates! and Highley recommend the team!! A detailed valuation and explanation of the process was provided together with honest guidance. They arranged property viewings well, providing clear notice and feedback, and later managed communications with the seller and the conveyancer while keeping me up to date on any changes. The team were easy to reach by phone and very efficient, always quick to follow up on urgent items to ensure the sale progressed.

Most of my interactions were with Max, Charlie and Samantha, and they were very friendly and helpful throughout. What I appreciated particularly was that they provided me with detailed documentation on the property when I first viewed it. This made things very transparent and also came in handy later on, when applying for a mortgage, etc. Communication was also very clear throughout the process. They also didn't try to badger me into getting additional products (like a mortgage) from them, which is what I've experienced with some other estate agents. As far as I recall, they offered to help with the mortgage. But when I politely declined, that was respected and I appreciated this a lot. When I sell/ buy in the future, I'll definitely go with them again.

GoogleBeware of hidden charges! At first I thought Your Move was a really good estate agent. However, I realised the goodness was only because they were holding my deposit. During the end of tenancy at the time of releasing my deposit, I was heavily charged for cleaning service. Even the landlord and the quarterly review Instructors said that the flat was kept in a clean condition. When I asked for the cleaning invoice, I was sent a basic invoice just showing the amount saying cleaning charges!. Agent Josephine did not even try to help to speak to the landlord or the cleaning company regarding the ridiculous amount. I felt very bad as even after keeping the flat clean and tidy by treating it as my own, I was charged a heavy amount. I will definitely not be using Your Move again! I trusted Your Move with my holding deposit but they clearly broke my trust. Anyways, money lost can be earned but they have definitely lost a valued customer!
Hi Stacy, I'm sorry to hear to feel there has been a poor experience with Your Move. The landlord asked for cleaning to be completed at the end of the tenancy as the property was not returned in the same condition as the inventory. My colleague Josephine offered you to raise this a deposit dispute if you didn't agree to this however you confirmed in writing for this cost to be taken from your deposit. Thank you - Vic
