View AgentsDo not sign up for a joint package with solicitors
The service from the solicitors was less than satisfactory however I made the huge mistake of signing up with their recommended solicitors CGM as a combined package. They have been appalling and it turned out it would have been cheaper to sign up with them myself (which I definitely would not recommend).
I'm still fighting to get my money following the solicitor overpaying my mortgage balance & charging for the following year's service charge. Carter Edwards also didn’t send me the details for cancellation until after the cancellation period had ended.

View AgentsMonths for deposit return (formally Aspect)
After ending a tenancy and agreeing with the landlord the amount to be returned. It took over a month to get the deposit back. When trying to contact to the finance department the team apparently consists of 2 people. Only 1 of which can perform deposit transactions who was on holiday, I doubt they had been holiday for the whole 5 weeks we have been waiting. According to the person who took my call there was no senior management to approach to get the deposit returned (no financial controller or finance director), This wreaks of poor financial control and I suspect I am not the only person to have waited a prolonged period of time to have monies processed (both tenants, landlords and sellers)
The lack of professionalism, financial control and length of transaction times means I would recommend you do not use this agent for any transactions.
