Unfortunately allow multiple “For Sale” boards per property. Even put “For Sale” boards in different road and on private land without permission and in direct contravention of all regulatory rules governing “For Sale” boards. Multiple calls to office to get removed fall on deaf ears.

We are sorry to hear of your frustration regarding our sale boards.
Our boards are erected and removed by an independent third-party contractor. Unfortunately, we are not routinely notified when a board removal has been completed, nor do we always have visibility of the precise location where a board has been positioned once instructions have been issued.
That said, we take concerns of this nature seriously and would like the opportunity to investigate further. If the board remains in place or the issue has not been resolved, please contact me directly at steve@dourishandday.co.uk with the property address / location and any relevant details. I will personally raise the matter with our contractor and ensure it is reviewed as a priority.

GoogleWe found a property we liked and immediately put in an offer. Initially, Gurvinder was very helpful and kept us to date with everything. However we were told our offer was excepted if all went well. We had sold to first time and cash buyers so out chain would have been quite quick. We were receiving calls from Gurvinder asking us to chase up the last bit of paperwork from the first time buyers. Isn't that the estate agents job? Bearing in mind this had only been around 3_4 days and we had a call saying congratulations it's yours, no one will steal it from you, and you can go ahead and get a solicitor, which we did. 2 days later we had a call saying we had lost the house. I understand that the person in the better position will be given priority, but we were also told that there were no others at the time. We were so disappointed due to the fact that we were congratulated and told it was ours, and could get a solicitor involved. We should never have been told it was ours, it was not very professional, and our feelings obviously did not count to Dourish and Day. Overall it was very badly dealt with and I hope we never have to deal with them again. Overall a very unprofessional estate agents who ask you to do the work for them, while giving you false hope.

It was good to speak to you earlier.
As discussed, the issue we had was that the house you wanted to buy from us couldn’t be removed off the market until we knew that all the documents were in from your chain. Having completed our due diligence, we understood that there were 4 properties in the chain in total, and we had been chasing your agent for a week to obtain confirmation the funding documents were in. Until we had confirmation that these documents were in, we couldn’t remove the property from the market.
Another offer came forward, without any chain and the documents were provided immediately to us, so having spoken with the seller, the seller decided to move forward with the other offer, as there appeared to be less risk.
We are sorry that you weren’t able to secure the property, but if we can assist you in the future, please do let us know.

Stafford Office. 13th February I asked Dourish and Day to value a rental property that I'm selling. They agreed to liaise directly with the tenant, she didn't want anyone in during 1/2 term and said that she would have boxes around. Dourish and Day informed me that the tenant had totally REFUSED their request but this was clarified with my agent and they then contacted Dourish and Day but 2 weeks later are still awaiting a response. 4th March I requested an update from Dourish and Day and received an extremely petulant response. Instead of just making ONE phone call and phoning my tenant, having previously agreed to contact directly, to arrange a time letting me know if there were any issues, or even give myself or my agent dates/times that Dourish and Day could conduct a valuation and my agent would make the arrangements this is their response:

Steve S came and took photos and videos of our home- they were of excellent and high quality. Anna took care of our marketing online and was quick to sort out any small amendment. The brochure and online marketing was slick and drew people in- our home sold in 4 days.
Sarah was our designated lead on sales progression. She is a legend and like a dog with a bone- without her diligence, I do not believe I would be sat in my beautiful, new home today- thank you so, so much for keeping things moving in the right direction. You looked after us beautifully and I cannot possibly thank you enough. 🙏🏽
What I loved best about Dourish and Day was that if your designated lead was on holiday, their desk was still worked. Nicola stepped in whenever needed, to pick up that gauntlet, you made this process absolutely seamless. 😎 Claire was also amazing - thank you so much for gluing my head back on when I really needed it. 🙏🏽
You guys work incredibly hard, and in my opinion went above and beyond at all times, but you make it look effortless. I spoke to several other members of staff and all were extremely helpful and supportive.
I would happily recommend Dourish and Day to anyone- and if I was to ever move again (I’m not!!) I would only use Dourish.

During the early stages we dealt with Georgia who was an excel point of contact for helping us find the house we love, negotiating a good deal on the purchase and securing us full asking price on our sale. As things progressed we then dealt with Claire and Nicola from the Penkridge branch where were excellent at chasing things up to help keep them moving when we encountered some difficulties.

A large chain with lots of ups and downs but they were at the end of the phone at each step. On the high days and the low days Nicola and Clare made the journey with us to the end where we collected the keys.
We would use again in a shot but we won't be moving for a very long time
