If you are looking for an Estate Agent who is great at their job, delivering wonderful results and excellent customer service, then look no further than Allen and Harris, Wallingford. Justin is a fantastic Branch Manger who continues to deliver results throughout the process and doesn't stop assisting customers once he has the instruction. Justin has many years of experience which shows because he knows what is going on within the entire chain at all times. Ken is also a wonderful member of staff who is very kind and helpful. Ken also has many years of experience and also knows what is going on in the chain at all times, guiding customers through challenging times with knowledge, kindness and care. Ellis has always been very punctual when carrying out viewings of my home and makes sure he calls with helpful feedback after viewings. Tierney is also helpful and friendly, sending and responding promptly to emails and reliably passing on messages in a cheerful way when requested. I haven't spoken to Jess very much during the process, but she was very encouraging and helpful when I first went into the office to discuss a potential house move. Jess helped me to feel as if I was going on an exciting adventure from the start, when it felt very daunting to consider a move. Everyone at Allen and Harris Wallingford have always treated me like a valued customer throughout the entire process and visiting their office is such a pleasure. I went to Allan&Harris on Albany Road, during my visit, Liam Tresilian made some racial comments to me that he clearly thought were humorous. He was laughing while delivering his inappropriate remarks, seemingly oblivious to the discomfort he caused. Instead of fostering a welcoming atmosphere, his comments only served to highlight the insensitivity that can sometimes be present in social interactions. This experience left me feeling deeply ashamed and very uncomfortable, as I couldn't help but question why such remarks were deemed acceptable in any context. It was disheartening to encounter such ignorance, especially in a setting where I expected to feel safe and respected. I believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and kindness, and it was disappointing to witness such a lack of awareness regarding the impact of words.

AVOID. Empty promises and false hopes. The subpar performance of their residential sales manager resulted in a significant financial setback of several thousand pounds. We were hastily guided through the process with the belief in our favourable prospects, continually reassured by the manager. Despite our exhaustive efforts within a constrained timeframe, the situation abruptly fell apart. There were no apologies, no outreach attempts, and our emails went unanswered with no updates throughout the process. It was only after the fact that we received a call from the branch manager, delivering the news that we did not secure the contract.

The worst letting agent ever

The worst letting agent ever. They cannot manage your property and are very rude and provide the worst customer service ever. Being with this letting agent has been a nightmare, instead of helping landlords the so called letting manager Tiffany was very rude and explains she’s not a mind reader. She would never answer calls, disregard emails and also accidentally replies to a chain of emails to her colleague but includes us to say how we are ridiculous. Tiffany is so unprofessional and the service provided was appalling. We will never be using this letting agent and recommend not to use unless you want your house to be destroyed and not to have any support from the lettings agent you put your trust in to manage and maintain your property and to have the most appalling service. Stay clear and actually get your moneys worth with another agent.

I recently sold and purchased my property with Allen and Harris and the whole experience was totally stress free. Best price was achieved for my sale and a good price was made on purchase through their Auction Department. Justin Jeffreys and his team couldn't have been more helpful. If I needed a document printed off to sign they did it and scanned it back, returned all of my calls and replied to all emails, which was reassuring. Having recently lost my Mother the thought of selling and moving was daunting but with the kindness, caring and absolute professionalism of Justin in particular I have made that transition and my dream has come true. Read the Contract!

I employed this company to sell a house. After 6 months and no sensible offers, I terminated their contract. A few months later, I sold the house through another agent, who were brilliant. However it turned out that the eventual buyers had seen the house originally several months before through Allen and Harris. The next thing I knew was their high powered solicitors demanding full payment of their selling fees, which according to their contract I have to pay indefinitely after they have sown anyone the house. This is criminal and they should be ashamed of themselves putting a clause like that in a legal contract. So beware, read all the small print. Don't use Allen and Harris as they are absolutely useless.

I recently asked for a Home Report to be e mailed, someone st their office decided to phone to arrange a viewing, they couldn’t get through because they dialed the wrong number. I explained I wanted to see the Home Report before arranging a viewing and adked, for the second time, van I have the Home Report, again this didn’t arrive, I gave it another go and still nothing happened.
