Couldn't be any happier with the service from Craig and George. Every step from asking about the house to let all the way to picking up the keys was unbelievably easy. Craig made the experience feel personal and really made sure things were moving along. The times I spoke to George he was extremely responsive to and help me out with forms etc. The whole experience was great, when I've shared my experience with my friends and family everyone has been so surprised how fast we've managed to secure a house and move in. They went over and above any estate agent I've ever used. Thanks so much guys!

Avoid at all cost

Avoid at all cost! Didn't put up a for sale sign, no proactive communication, try to get you to pay extra £500 commission as an 'incentive' for them to do their job of selling your house!!! Tried getting out of the contract early which was a continued "no", but funny that as soon as the Ombudsman was mentioned they dropped us like a stone. Once the property was off the market, after 12 weeks, I was then woken up very early one morning to find a man trying to put up a for sale sign...say no more!

Connell’s was the best letting agency that I have dealt with in Bristol, and I have dealt with a few. Ours was a particularly difficult situation but Craig went over and above any assistance expected from an agent. And then David made the paperwork process easy. We felt like they cared that we got the home we were looking for and we definitely found it on the second try. We are very happy in our new home and would recommend them highly to anyone. You will not get a better personalised service.

Lazy and amateurish

Extremely poor, lazy and amateurish. It's hard to know where to start but I suppose we should have been wary when our initial documents arrived with my name spelt wrongly. When I queried this, I was told it didn't matter. Call me old fashioned but I like my name spelt correctly - especially on legal documents!? Emails were often full of mistakes and the branch manager even told me that the 'bass rate' had been cut, 3 hours before the announcement had been made - psychic apparently.

I have had the most terrible time with…

I have had the most terrible time with O’Connells. They forced me to use KeySafe, a company I found out later to be struck off by the FCA and not regulated. I am not internet savvy & found it stressful. Either that or I pay 12 months rent up front for my granddaughter. I capitulated & allowed a year’s scrutiny of my bank (twice for some reason). Six months bank statements, savings accounts, tax info, P60s, ISAs, passport, bills and more. I sent it all to them but they wanted specific documents, I did that too. They demanded it in Digital format & PDF files. I was exhausted, I told them I felt blackmailed & cohersed as I got regular Final Notice warnings that I wasn’t getting the info out quickly enough. They took umbrage & made me feel small, I apologised if I’d upset them and asked for help as my granddaughter was due to move in next week. Finally they accused me of lying that I didn’t know the internet & blocked me meaning my granddaughter will be homeless next week, I am devastated. I am only the guarantor and they treat me like this. They deny hearing any other complaint but mine, boasted O’Connels were best & biggest estate agent,

Me and my partner have been house hunting for a a few months and nothing was feeling right for what we wanted for our first home together, then I received a call from Connells regarding a property I had inquired about, and I spoke with someone ( iforgot his name now) but He was very professional and arranged a viewing for us, we were a bit nervous at first as we have been let down by the other viewings but they was confident they would find our first home. We actually submitted our application the day after the viewing because we just had the feeling ‘when you know you know’ we couldnt let it go and we haven’t looked back. It was approved/ accepted a few days later. From that point on, Connells was incredibly supportive throughout the entire process, anyone who I spoke to was helpful and guided us through everything, and we never had to chase for updates they always kept us informed with the whole process from start to finish. An Estate agent that is not interested in selling houses!

I called them to arrange a viewing and was told they would ring me back when a salesman was back in the office so I waited in for the afternoon and they never rang back. I called the next day told them I had waited in and didnt get an apology and was just told everyone was in a meeting. The property is listed with another agent so I just called them and arranged a viewing with them instead. Now looking at reviews on here I feel I have dodged a bullet! I would be most unhappy as a seller if I thought my agent was letting potential buyers slip away like this, especailly on a property listed with multiple agents!

I went into connells on the off chance a house I seen on zoopla was still available, I was nervous to go in as you hear some horror stories of how snobby and judgmental estate agents can be.. However Craig was just absolutely lovely and so reassuring. He made me feel much better about my house hunting situation and was far from judgemental in regards to my situation too! Craig really is lovely and kept me up to date throughout the day with each update for the house we were looking at too. We are also going through a tough time with our former landlord and Craig has been nothing but helpful with giving us advice on how to deal with the our former landlord- you've really gone the extra mile while trying to help us secure our new house and also help us deal with our former cowboy landlord. I’ve recently purchased a property through Kingswood Connells, which was made to be a pain free process due to the support of the staff. A special thanks to Vandross, as a result of his quick action and insight we were able to secure a property that initially I believed was out of our scope. Throughout the process they were always available to be contacted and helped with driving delays. If I ever find my self using Kingswood Connells again I would reconsider using the associated solicitor, due to limited communication and a lack of drive for progression. As this is not a service Connells directly provides I have not reflected this in the rating.

We recently purchased our property through Connells in Kingswood and use them for our mortgage advisor too. The staff were all friendly and the team who answered the phone were very professional, polite and will always look to sort out your query. I would have given 5 stars however I would have liked our mortgage advisor to check-in with us about the process and if we were happy with the services Connells were providing as we paid for this but never actually heard from them apart from at the end when I contacted them about the Contents and Buildings insurance. Ibrahim Mashuk was brilliant during the whole purchase and I would say he is an asset to Connells!

Terrible experience. Lovely staff though. NO actual advice given. Didn't sell it but equally gave no advice about the little changes we could have made which would have helped us. The tenant left it in bad condition and we never visited the property. We relied on them to give us advice, they marketed it, conducted viewings but not once did they say - you should do x & y and this will help the sale. Persuaded us to use their auction option as 'in all the years of me working here, we've never not sold one at auction' - ours didn't sell and we had to pay £6k. We removed it, went on with another agent having done some work and then it sold straight away.

The team were hard to communicate with and not pro active very arrogant and also at time very rude at times particularly the branch manager,My sale was delayed and eventually leading me to pull out because after 9 weeks after accepting an offer the buyer hadn’t even been ID verified.If you want to sell your house please avoid at all cost.
