Really poor experience with Allan & Harris Roath. I had a house valuation booked, and because I’m away on business, a family member took half a day off work to attend. Just a few hours before the appointment, they cancelled by email with no phone call, no proper explanation, and no attempt to rearrange.

A fantastic experience throughout the whole process. Very responsive to my initial enquiry. I then met them at the property and they were clearly knowledgeable and then throughout the entire sales process they were great. I would definitely recommend them and if I ever had a need for their services again I would 100% use them again.

That’s is me again. After a very stressful negotiation with this company we decided to continue in the purchase of the apartment and couldn’t be worst. After a lack of information in the home report that builds with more than 4 floors bead to have lift by new regulations and just a few lenders accept to mortgage apartments in 5 floors without lift we got one. Lender tried 3 times to organise the service but Alen and Harris have not organised the appointment so they came to us telling the seller will put apartment back to market. Terrible service,terrible organisation, terrible customer service. Maybe now they will sell to their friend.

Paisley office - Professional, friendly, great experience

What a great experience we had selling our parents’ house. Allen and Harris were totally professional and took all the hassle out of selling a property which is 2 ½ hours away from me. The Matterport walkthrough showed the house beautifully. Allen & Harris did all the viewings - 15 in the space of 2 weeks - and secured a great price for us. They were friendly, respectful and kept us informed at all times. This was the Paisley office - a great team!

From the moment we met these guys in their office in Chipping Sodbury they were warm, friendly and really helpful. Although we didn't end up buying with them, they continued to be smiley, knowledgeable and really made us feel they cared about our buying journey, whilst viewing properties they had for sale. Sadly this was not reflected across many Yate area agents. If we ever sell our new home, it will be through these guys! Thank you so much for making our journey more bearable. You rock!!

Charity Shop Sue could show this lot a few things about management. Broker was an imbecile, couldn’t get him off the phone until we paid, then couldn’t get him on the phone. His manager was a nylon shirt wearing narcissist. They caused delay, drift, and endless stress. Avoid like the plague. Financial ombudsman here we come.

PORT TALBOT OFFICE - The worst experience I've ever had with an estate. I had a pleasant viewing with the owner who showed me around when the estate agent wasn't available. Loved the house a d spent 2 hours chatting with the owner who seemed more than keen to sell to me, even asked me to exchange numbers to keep each other updated as this agent allowed his last sale to fall through and never notified him.Later the same day I txt the owner and offered full asking, telling him he could take as much time as needed to decide. He replied instantly and accepted. I emailed the agent and formally submitted my offer as well as my mortgage in principle proof of funds (far more than enough to Substantiate my offer) I phoned the next working day a d the agent Sarah Rowlands was instantly offish and dismissive, huffing down the phone and acting completely put out that I had called. She was annoyed me and the owner had contact and told me nothing had been accepted and viewings would go ahead still.I heard nothing til I was contacted by Rachel in there mortgage team. I told them I had already got a lender I was happy with but was pushed in to chatting with her anyway. After talking through the mortgage info I was then called yo say my offer was accepted and it would be taken off the market....that was until dat laterite Rachel had decided upon herself to go behind my back and speak to my lender and tell me they wouldn't lend to me...pure rubbish, i had personal contact with my lender and was told that agents tend to use intimidating and bullying tactics to force people to pay for their services.As soon as I refused to pay for the agents in house mortgage service I was ghosted and then told my offer had been gazumped and owner stopped contact. I took it as a blessing in disguise as I would never deal with Sarah or Rachel or this crooked company. A week after that I wascontactedby the owner again who assumee I was still buying...I had to be the one to tell him that his agents lied to him and me and that I was messed around and they declined my offer without his knowledge.Avoid these unprofessional,dishonest,useless, crooked liars at all cost!!!

First time buyers - Excellent team

We were buying as first time buyers, we had no idea what we were meant to be doing and when. Our sale wasn't the easiest due to many complications from the developers, but Carly and the team really went above and beyond for us. I was able to call nearly every other day and they'd all be cheerful, tell me I am not a fool for constantly chasing, and just being absolutely lovely. I highly recommend Allen and Harris! Their customer service is on another level and they would bend over backwards if that would help the process move smoother.

Very little communication. AVOID!!

Avoid this company at all costs. I used the PPAISLEY branch, I was misquoted on the fee cost and over quoted on the value of my property. So, it cost me MORE to sell and my property was worth LESS than they said. After taking time off work to allow Allen & Harris' photographer in my property I ended up asking them to use my own photographs. I was told I would be contacted once a week with an update, but this rarely happened. Prior to my flat selling I hadn't heard anything for over 3 weeks. I has to ask them to check viewers were actually viewing a property that fitted they're search criteria. A constant reason a buyer wasn't interested was that it was in the wrong area. Goodness sake! Google maps!! Check with the buyer where they DO want to stay!! That was beyond strange, why view somewhere that is not in your search area? I honestly doubted half my viewers even existed. Weekly calls from the office from Leanne soon stopped, these calls were embarrassing as Gary who sold me on using Allen & Harris had assured me that my property was in high demand. This was obviously not the case OR this company were not doing their job. I eventually had to chase up this company to make sure they were doing all they could to sell my property. I think they were more relieved my property sold than I was, I got ONE phone call to say an offer was being initiated and that was the last I heard from them. Everything then came thro my solicitor. They did practically NOTHING to earn their over-rated fee. Avoid this company at all costs. I have only awarded 1 star as there is no option to give ZERO.

From the initial meeting to the conclusion the Ayr office were fantastic Caitlin, Ben and Allan were calming and reassuring at all stages. We used Allen & Harris for a probate sale for my late fathers house. Initially incredibly enthusiastic but as time passed & they got busier as the market opened up, contact lessened. Updates were only provided if we did the chasing & we had to prompt on several occasions to get the EPC done. Used their solicitors, Howells, who got it all done but again comms at time were slow & poor unless done on the phone. The biggest disappointment was the fact that no one bothered to telephone us on the day of completion. It smacks of being treated as an easy money earner for them, when in fact the emotions involved on the day were overwhelming. Not having used an EA for years, it’s difficult to know if this is standard service or not?

Just sold my flat through Allen and Harris Chipping Sodbury and I found all of the team there to be excellent. Special mention to Alyesha who looked after me the most under the obviously difficult circumstances. It took a while due to the original purchasers pulling out, but they found me another buyer within 3 days which was amazing. Alyesha worked hard to make sure the whole process went smoothly. She was always easy to get hold of and communicated each stage so I knew where we were in the sale process at all time. Would highly recommend Allen and Harris Chipping Sodbury if you want a professional and smooth sale/purchase. Most important point.....they sold our house for us! We tried with a different estate agent and after many viewings with not 1 offer and constantly told to reduce, reduce, reduce we pulled our house off with them and advertised with Allen & Harris. After only a 2 viewings they had sold our house for the same price as the previous estate agent told me was to much money. Alyesha, Matt & Hollie were all very efficient and always call/email back which is a fine thing nowadays! We ended up in our dream home as they sold our house quickly as they said they would, need I say anymore?

Would give zero if I could

Would give zero if I could. We had lots of issues with the house and the estate agents just ghosted us. To this day, they still owe me money for the keys because they couldn't even manage to get keys cut right (never heard of checking?). I keep asking when it will be returned and Lewis just says "I will get back to you". Special shoutout to Lewis for being particularly useless on this matter and for maintenance issues overall. They left us with broken furniture for a whole year- they kept saying they would send someone to fix it but never did. The house had an awful mould problem- they sent someone over to give quotes to install extractor fan in bathroom but nothing came of that. They tried to milk money out of the deposit but we argued so they backed out (their claims had no merit). Would not recommend. They don't check that houses are suitable to live in, and they don't respond or care if there's an issue with the house. Not responsible, practical, or reliable.

Shockingly bad company to rent from

Shockingly bad company to rent fromOne of the worst renting experiences we have ever had, doomed from the start to finish. Left us in unsafe conditions with mould, broken shower and flea ridden carpets with an overwhelming stench of dog despite telling us the property had been professionally cleaned.Eventually after numerous kick offs they brought in cleaners who agreed the state of the property was close to inhabitable. They noted the landlord had tried to use paint to cover the extent of the mould and that it was only likely to get worse.We had agreed prior to move in to bring our pet, however this was completely missed off our application by the team and subsequently caused another kick off from our landlord, trying to void our rental agreement and request our pet was re-homed due to their grave error. They claimed the building was a listed building and we ideally were wishing for the single glazed windows in the living room to be replaced due to how cold it gets during winter despite heating on. This was refused even though the bedroom and kitchen windows had been replaced and there was no record of the property being listed. Lastly as our tenancy agreement was coming to the end, we were surprised with the news that the flat didn’t have a Carbon Monoxide alarm despite passing the gas safety before move in, this means us living there was completely illegal due to having gas appliances but yet they continued to work with the same landlord and readvertise the property for rent.Overall there is a complete lack of care or interest for tenants at all and they seem to completely priortise getting money from landlords. They do not care for people in the slightest.
