I completed on a property in September and Jack Casstles was my mortgage consultant. What we thought was going to be a very quick turn around, turned into a 13 month journey with a change of property. Jack continued to support me after the initial property fell through and helped me to secure the mortgage for the property I completed on. Jack was always quick to respond to an email, or be on the phone, answering all my questions, keeping me updated, and letting me air my frustrations at times. If it wasn’t for Jack’s support and guidance during those 13 months, I don’t think I’d be where I am now. I couldn’t recommend Jack enough.

I went to Allan&Harris on Albany Road, during my visit, Liam Tresilian made some racial comments to me that he clearly thought were humorous. He was laughing while delivering his inappropriate remarks, seemingly oblivious to the discomfort he caused. Instead of fostering a welcoming atmosphere, his comments only served to highlight the insensitivity that can sometimes be present in social interactions. This experience left me feeling deeply ashamed and very uncomfortable, as I couldn't help but question why such remarks were deemed acceptable in any context. It was disheartening to encounter such ignorance, especially in a setting where I expected to feel safe and respected. I believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and kindness, and it was disappointing to witness such a lack of awareness regarding the impact of words.

Not happy with the service that I have received... I have been searching for new-build shared ownership scheme houses for a little while and came across the Mill Lane houses as published by Allen & Harris. These houses are on a first-come, first-served basis, and seeing as this upload was within one hour of the last time I had checked, I believed I was in a great position to secure one of these houses. After submitting my interest, I received a phone call at 14:24 on Monday the 5th to obtain general information about the property, confirm my interest, and book an appointment with a mortgage advisor. I was informed that I would be sent a link to complete my affordability assessment and that, if successful, I would be added to the list to secure one of these houses. I emailed later the same day at 16:16 asking about the link, as I had not received anything, and requested that it be sent. After receiving no response, I then received a call on Friday the 9th from the mortgage advisor, Jamie, confirming my mortgage advisory appointment for Saturday the 10th at 13:00. With respect to Jamie, I am very thankful for his open and honest conversation, during which we discussed the fact that I had not received the link and that this had likely significantly hindered my chances of securing a property on Mill Lane. Jamie offered his apologies and said his colleague would get in contact with me regarding the link, with the hope of resolving the issue and potentially restoring my rightful place on the list. When Saturday the 10th arrived, I received an email at 9:13 AM containing the link, dated the 5th of January. I have checked all email folders, including junk, spam, and others, and this email was never received. Based on this, I requested a copy or attachment of the original email allegedly sent on the 5th so that I could confirm it had actually been sent rather than merely drafted. This was never provided, which leads me to believe that the email was drafted on the 5th but never sent. Additionally, if the email had been sent previously, there would normally be an email chain, meaning the email I received on the 10th would have been a follow-up. This was not the case. This brings me to my current position. We have had some back and forth communication, and I have expressed my disappointment with how this situation has been handled. As a result of this error, I am now too far down the list to justify submitting an application, with no meaningful apology or plan to rectify the situation. This has resulted in continued 2+ hour daily travel for work, all due to a link not being sent, despite me emailing to request it. As stated, I am extremely unhappy with how this has been handled. While I appreciate that this may seem like a small mistake, it has cost me this opportunity and my trust in the business. Screenshots will be attached shortly as evidence, and I truly hope nobody else has to go through this experience.

The worst letting agent ever

The worst letting agent ever. They cannot manage your property and are very rude and provide the worst customer service ever. Being with this letting agent has been a nightmare, instead of helping landlords the so called letting manager Tiffany was very rude and explains she’s not a mind reader. She would never answer calls, disregard emails and also accidentally replies to a chain of emails to her colleague but includes us to say how we are ridiculous. Tiffany is so unprofessional and the service provided was appalling. We will never be using this letting agent and recommend not to use unless you want your house to be destroyed and not to have any support from the lettings agent you put your trust in to manage and maintain your property and to have the most appalling service. Stay clear and actually get your moneys worth with another agent.

Read the Contract!

I employed this company to sell a house. After 6 months and no sensible offers, I terminated their contract. A few months later, I sold the house through another agent, who were brilliant. However it turned out that the eventual buyers had seen the house originally several months before through Allen and Harris. The next thing I knew was their high powered solicitors demanding full payment of their selling fees, which according to their contract I have to pay indefinitely after they have sown anyone the house. This is criminal and they should be ashamed of themselves putting a clause like that in a legal contract. So beware, read all the small print. Don't use Allen and Harris as they are absolutely useless.

I recently asked for a Home Report to be e mailed, someone st their office decided to phone to arrange a viewing, they couldn’t get through because they dialed the wrong number. I explained I wanted to see the Home Report before arranging a viewing and adked, for the second time, van I have the Home Report, again this didn’t arrive, I gave it another go and still nothing happened.

Allen and Harris, WhitchurchJust put my parents house on the market with Allen and Harris and not impressed with communication at all. An Open House was arranged but on the day of the Open house no communication with either myself or my brother)who lives in the house) so I was a bit concerned. I rang the office and was told one of their colleagues should have got in touch with me to say it had been pushed back two weeks. I had not received a phone call or message of any kind. I was then told it was rearranged for two weeks later, again no communication and nothing materialised.Early days but already thinking of finding someone else to sell the house.

60% 1-star reviews at the time of writing, this should be the only red flag you need. Firstly, they mis-sold the tenancy, and assured certain facts that were conditional on my signing were true, that turned out not to be true. There is no way I would have signed the tenancy if they had not been misleading. When confronted, they made demands from me which were unreasonable, including ‘not to open the window’ of which there is only one in the apartment. Corey is especially corrupt, and the biggest scammer, stay clear as he will gaslight anyone and back track/say whatever he feels like to cover himself. Stay clear. Remember, 60% 1-star reviews. That is the majority of all reviews. Please don’t waste your time.

We used Allan and Harris’ mortgage advisor service. The lovely Alanna Docherty helped us with honestly everything for buying our new house. She was amazing we could not fault her. She really went above and beyond and as for many people, all the things that come with buying the house can be very confusing but Alana explained everything so well and just made the whole process stress free to be honest. She always answered any messages or query’s quick and was always so friendly and polite. Her knowledge is great as well. We are so happy with the service provided and cannot recommend Alana enough. Incompetent.They assured me it was a good tenant

They assured me it was a good tenant. When I received the referencing it turned out she wasn't earning enough to pay the rent, had lied about her job and salary, had seven addresses in eight years. I only learned this three days before she was supposed to move in. I stopped the deal and decided to sell. Allen and Harris still want their fee. The demand is £300 more than on the contract. Total incompetence.

So poor experience with them. Before peyment was taken, the Sequence Brooker was ringing every day. After payment made, totally change atitute. Lack of communication, no reply, ignoring, waiting forever. Because not receiving support from broker I made bad mistake pull out from property I was hoping to buy.
