We both sold and bought with Paul Meakin and they were superb throughout. They valued our flat alot higher than Bristow Eves and it went for much more than we were expecting which was a wonderful sight, and to the first viewers! They were so quick and understanding about the need to arrange viewings around our daughters bedtimes which took the stress away. We happened to buy a property they were selling as well and again the process was so smooth. We completed during the pandemic and after everything being paused due to the lockdown Gill who is the sales progressor was absolutely crucial in making sure everything went through when we needed it too. I couldn't recommend them more and if we do ever move again, we will certainly look to use them.

I have been totally satisfied with the service I have received. I recently had a serious problem with a tenancy which was a stressful experience. GoogleWe decided to use Paul Meakin to rent out our detached property. The lettings manager visited our house and recommended we placed the property on for £1550pcm. A handful of viewings went ahead, of which we did all of the them. After a few weeks, we had an interested party but it went nowhere. Another few weeks passed and we were advised to drop the price to £1450pcm. Again, same story. After two months on their books we were advised to drop the price to £1395pcm and possibly bring another agent in. Then all communications stopped. These people have no idea what they are doing with lettings. Avoid at all costs is my advice. They will comment on this review and state various reasons and excuses but simply put, they didn’t know what they were doing.

I had some doubts when appointing Paul Meakin simply because I believed we loved outside of their prime sales area. Their marketing worked though and we had viewings wishing 24 hours. We were given honest feedback after all viewings and having our property priced at a realistic value (as opposed to the inflated values we saw from some other agents) meant we received the full asking price. The chain did collapse at one point but Paul Meakin did their very best to push things along. It was their continuous chasing that got us to completion not the solicitors. Really impressed.

We put the house on the market early August and completed around the same time in October so the whole process was very quick. We were particularly impressed by the professional way that Sam Weller handled the initial valuation, (which is one reason why PM got the job), and then promptly marketed the house and achieved a prompt sale. The other reason we used PM was that the contract was more flexible and fairer than that proposed by others. Subsequent progress checking, and communications happened but could have been more a bit more pro-active at times maybe requiring more oversight from the manager. However this is a minor observation. We would highly recommend Paul Meakin.

I contacted Sam at Paul Meakin to sell a property on behalf of my father, From the very first contact they came over as very professional and knowledgeable with an emphasis on customer service, straight away I knew I had made the right decision. Through the sale I was kept up to date with viewings via email and great feedback within 24 hours of the viewing. Whoever I spoke to at the office were very helpful at all times. We found a buyer and from then on I spoke with Gill who at all times kept myself and my solicitor in the loop of progress. Their level of service was in my view outstanding. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

Feedback is important to our company. We would ask that you review us for the service you instructed us to do. We were instructed by you to let your property on a rent collect service, your tenants paid their rent on time throughout the let. We do not carry out property condition inspections on a rent collect service, unless landlords request this and it is an additional charge. All tenants are fully referenced, all landlords are aware of tenant occupations before they agree a let. We never held a key for the garage on file, it was inside the property, (we photograph all keys we hold) the tenants returned the garage key to your husband. Check out reports are completed by a 3rd party, both check in and check out reports are supported with photographic evidence, any concerns about the report should be up with them directly.
