I would avoid this estate agent if you value good communication and a genuine interest from an estate agent helping you find a property. Peter the branch manager was helpful, however I had to ask to move away from having Esra from the sales team manage my purchase. She showed little interest in my purchase very rarely replied to emails and took from my opinion a "whatever" attitude. The survey on a property I was to purchase came back with a very bad report. The property did need updating but the survey found more internal problem which were not visible on viewing. When I asked for a price reduction she replied "the seller has no interest in selling for that price" I then asked if she had asked the seller if there was a chance to negotiate, she stuttered and seem to avoid the question. The most basic approach an estate agent takes is to say "we know you don't want to reduce the price of the property, is there any room for negotiating". This was an elderly man selling his property who probably will continue to get a bad survey on the property with buyers continuing to ask for price reductions and at the same time buyers spending money on surveys and searches. Both seller and buyers loose out when when working with an estate agent who takes very little interest. In the end I got annoyed and asked to speak with her manager as it was like speaking to a brick wall you could clearly hear from her response she was not listening. What was very bad from the manager and Esra was that I was not informed before the property went back on the market. I was told it could go back on the market but no follow up to say it definitely was going to be relisted. I am happy I moved on from buying the property as there were many problems, however the estate agents manged the sale with little personal touch as if they do not realise the property will be your home. They showed ultimately little interest.

Martin & Co's response to my enquiry was immediate and viewings were arranged within a week and a half. Offers were received within a few days thereafter. Although the legal side of proceedings became of concern during the later stages, the sale was completed within 2 months. For me, that was beyond expectation although it was a no-chain sale. Nothing for me to complain about and, all-in-all, very good value for money.

I just had a call to schedule a house viewing, and the agent mentioned that viewings were set up between 10 AM and 4 PM. However, only the 12 to 1:30 PM slots were taken, yet he seemed unable to fill the 10 or 11 AM slots. Instead, I was asked to call back on Monday after I asked what the options were?! I really hope my own agent isn't handling potential buyers this way. I found the experience quite frustrating and unhelpful. To reply to manager below: I ended the call because your employee didn’t offer any options. I also specifically stated before 1 pm and after 3 pm and your colleague implied the owners enabled a slot from 10 to 4pm, please be accurate with the details. It’s ironic that he later emailed me to find a solution. Since you're dealing with customers, a cordial approach would be appreciated.

Had a very bad experience with a lady called Rugile. From the very first phonecall she seemed uninterested and unfriendly. I'm used to estate agents doing their best to sell/rent out a property. On this occasion, Rugile was absolutely negative and very condescending towards me. Not only did she make it seem as if I'm not credible enough with constantly repeating that 'the landlord is very specific about who he wants as a tenant' (after already disclosing I make a healthy salary), she also questioned how much of my salary is being declared on my tax return. I've never experienced an estate agent with such a poor attitude towards potential tenants. A 'best wishes' or 'kind regards' at the end of an e-mail is the least someone could ask for. Never again!
