We have just reserved a new Tilia Home

We have just reserved on of the plots at The Oaks in Plymouth and we couldn’t be happier! As this was the area we really wanted to live, we kept in contact with Julian over the last 12 months. Not only did Julian remain professional and friendly during the barrage of phone calls that I made to him each month, he also made sure we were up to date with all the latest information. This allowed us to make sure we were fully prepared when the time came to make a reservation, which we did last week! We are now looking forward to seeing the development progress and move into our new Tilia home in the springtime.Thank you to Julian and the Tilia team.

Great experience overall

Bought a house in The Paddocks, newcastle-under-lyme, last year.Dave and Jackie were both very friendly and helped us with everything.Dave even came from his day off to give us the keys on the completion day as we were on a chain and had not many options. We are very grateful for that.The house was ready in the timescale stated from the beginning. We visited the Tilia Homes, Castle Croft, site to enquire about available properties to purchase, though not expecting to buy. The Tilia Homes representative, Heidi, was very friendly, attentive and informative. Despite inclement weather, Heidi was keen to show us the site and identified the plot we were interested in. Heidi described the style and finish of the house in detail, which was particularly important as this was one of the main factors in our decision to buy.We returned the next day to pay our deposit and found Heidi was getting into the "swing" of Halloween, by wearing fancy dress and make up, which complemented the site office, decorated in Halloween paraphenalia. This seemed to go down well with some children, accompanied by Adults, who were making an enquiry. A great start for us buying a house, knowing that Heidi will keep us updated with the build progress.A big thank you Heidi.Derek & Gill

In the current market we feel very lucky to have found The Langfords at Wrangaton. It is rare to find large bedrooms in a new build but Tilia’s Buckland offers just that, along with a choice of beautiful kitchens and stylish bathroom tiling. Julian Long, the Area Sales Manager, is also stylish and a very snappy dresser! Julian has been diligent and efficient in answering all of our questions and queries and certainly goes the extra mile in ensuring every member of the family are happy with their new home. We can’t wait to move in and look forward to making new memories.

Alston Grange New Home

From showing an early interest in buying a plot to the moving in day the whole experience has been great. Julie kept us well informed during the whole process and answered any questions and queries we had no matter how trivial. Even during the stressful, final stages, Julie kept in contact to make sure everything went through smoothly. Since we moved in Danny the site manager has made sure that we have been happy with the house and how everything functions. Any snags or concerns have been dealt with immediately and efficiently. He genuinely wants to ensure that your happy in your home and over all as a family we are very happy with our new house. The quality of the house is to a very high standard and we know we are going to make many happy memories here.

We have been guided every step of the way since our first sighting of a mound of earth. Tilia homes offer a full package of support, from mortgage advice , solicitors and life insurance. Tilia are also very lucky to have their senior sale guy, Mr Julian Long, who is very professional, knowledgeable and will assist you in anyway he can. He is also a sharp dresser too.🙂 We were one of the first to reserve @ the Langfords and have been kept in the loop every step of the way, plot 7 is not finished yet but we hope to be in before Christmas. Julian is an asset to Tilia and they should be very proud that they employ someone with his knowledge, understanding (of new builds) and empathy that he has to his clients. Bravo Zulu Julian& Tilia.

We have been lucky enough to have the guidance and support from Julian Long who has gone beyond the call of duty, guiding us through the process and keeping us calm when the sale of our current home looked a little rocky. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!

I bought a Kier home in 2018 and even on the day I collected the keys, it was evident that the house had been poorly built and they were only interested in completing the purchase. Promises were made that the problems would be sorted but, three years down the line, I still have over THIRTY issues unresolved. I would advise anyone buying a Tilia home to employ a specialist to carry out a snagging survey. This is not guaranteed to sort out the problems, but at least you will have more concrete evidence to take to court! The Customer Service Department is the WORST I have ever experienced. E mails and letters are never replied to, the phone isn't answered and if it is, it's usually a wait of over two hours after which they tell you there is nothing they can do but refer your concerns higher. Eventually, the manager of Customer Services paid a personal visit to my home to see for himself what I've had to endure. He 'appeared' appalled at the poor level of service and promised to rectify the problems. I have heard nothing since. I would not have given even one star given the choice. WARNING - DO NOT BUY FROM TILIA - DODGY BUILDERS AND DODGIER CUSTOMER SERVICES!!

Where do I begin. It doesn't matter, they were brilliant from start to finish. Professional efficient and most of all caring. Thanks to Givette at the Tilia Home development at Manor Kingsway Derby.Beacuse of her actually now we had a place call Home. As a first-time buyers we had a lot of questions. Givette has been great so far providing us with loads of information.We went to other big street property builder,we went for the appointment and they just told us to go to the show home but Givette took extra care and first time when we came to see the property she showed the house and explained everything. explained and guided us for the procedures and clearly provided the details information about the new house. Her professional and Friendly service did help us a lot for the purchase. She also pro-actively follow up with our requests on adding additional support we need. Really helpful! She is a star. Vinny the site manager also was very helpful when it comes to fix the minor snags we raised.He personally visited the property to check the snags been fixed or not.Highly recommend the Manor Kingsway Derby team. A pleasure to do business with on all fronts. Even after completion, they are still showing the same level of customer commitment. Simply outstanding.

Castle Croft..

Went to visit Castle Croft, Barnard Castle... stunning site and houses. Very impressive. I found my dream home, and Heidi was so helpful and friendly. Unfortunately they were not able to offer me what I wanted in terms of selling my existing home, so I have had to go to Plan B in the hope of making things work, but I felt like she really cared about me. I am doing everything in my power now to secure a plot there and get my dream home at Castle Croft :)

Kitchen Ceiling decorated due to faulty Boiler leak

We moved into our new home less than 2 years ago and have recently found a leak on the kitchen ceiling whick happened to be an issue with the boiler upstairs. Stewart Sellers, Customer Service Operative, was able to fill the gap the plumbers had left (when they fixed the leak), repainted and redecorated the ceiling to a high standard. Superb job. The building and its design are really practical and beautiful.We are especially grateful to Zena Williamson for the excellent customer relations. Zena is very knowledgeable and professional while being friendly and easy to approach. Urban Quarter Review

My partner and I are looking to buy at the Urban Quarter. We have been in constant contact with the sales rep for the development and Simon couldn’t have been more than helpful. We have had very open and frank discussions about a range of subjects including if the build would be suitable for accessibility reasons and Simon has talked us through all of our worries and has been nothing short of polite and helpful. We would also like to really thank Jack who we think we might have caused more than a little headache too but has also been fantastic.The build site looks really nice and not like the usual Legoland style of builds you see where the estate looks exactly the same. I am really impressed with the though through ideas and the good range of choice you seem to get; also loving that there has been some considerations made towards the environment and sustainability of the site.

My wife and I did some homebuilder research before stumbling on Kier Living Birmingham (turned Tilia Homes), and I must say that we've never regretted our decision for a second! The building design woven with a class of sparkling quality rnks among the very best!!!Special appreciation goes to Lady Beth whose excellent customer relations is top-notch; she followed through right up to completion stage and never left us in the dark. Even her post-completion check-ups are amazing - matter-of-factly she just left our place before I decided to relay my opinion on public space. You are appreciated My Lady!!!Mr. Shane the Site Manager has been exceptional as well judging by his swiftness in attending to our maintenance needs - kudos to you guys. Please avoid Tilia Homes for the sake of your health and sanity. Nightmares begin on completion day.

Tilia (previously Kier) promised us our “dream” home. The sales journey was as you’d expect; full of polite enthusiasm, attractive promises and constant reassurance, and very aggressive when it came to the slightest hint of delay (on our side).Having bought new before, we were anticipating having to work through the usual snagging list that typically arises with a new build property. Unfortunately our cautious optimism quickly turned to despair as we were confronted with a very long list of problems; some easily remedied (though not without a long wait) but many others major problems resulting from a real lack of good quality workmanship and serious corner cutting. There were also a number of examples that were in breach of health and safety standards. To make matters worse, once they have your money, the after-care is truly abysmal, with calls and emails to the customer service team typically ignored for weeks and months on end. Trying to escalate problems through to senior management can prompt arrogant and patronising responses, which are almost always full of excuses and a demonstrate a total lack of empathy. This is despite best efforts on our part to remain completely amicable throughout all of our interactions.As it stands were are 7 months post completion and still waiting for many major problems to be resolved. We have also had to instruct the NHBC to carry out an independent assessment as, after 2 failed attempts, Tilia have refused to carry out any more work to correct some of their failings. This is in spite of their own onsite team even telling us that the problems with our property are some of the worst examples they have seen. As you can imagine we seriously regret our decision to put our faith (and entire life savings) into Tilia being able to deliver the home we dreamed of. If we could turn back time we would change our decision in a heart beat. I strongly recommend you avoid Tilia at all costs and save yourself the heartbreak and mental anguish of having your dreams ruined.

Briarwood, Plymouth Last year was an amazing journey mainly thanks to Brett. I remember when me and my Wife went to sales office for the first time. We were stressed as we're the first time buyers. My partner and I knew from the moment that we were aware of the briarwood development that we would be interested. We had rented a property 2 minutes down the road and had come to know and the love the area. After viewing the show homes, looking at the plans and speaking to Brett we were extremely keen. The process was made incredibly easy by Brett and the team and could not have asked for a smother transition. As first-time buyers we were nervous, but we were guided through the entire process with ease and reassurance. We received constant updates regarding the development and were offered a great range of choices regarding finishes despite the difficulties due to covid. The team were great at keeping us updated and resolving any issues or queries we may have had. Briarwood- great quality company

We have just moved into our first home together and we couldn’t have done it without the help and support of Brett. From day 1 Brett has been amazing! Besides finding us our dream home he even managed to get us a lower mortgage rate by speaking through with us other options! Brett really went above and beyond!! On the day of move in Brett welcomed us with a beautiful hamper full of yummy and very fancy treats, aswell as having a bow on the front door. Even since being in our home Brett has continued to be supportive and helpful and has even met our new puppy 🐶 Ryan has been helpful at sorting out snagging problems and is easy to speak too if you have any concerns. Briarwood I have recently moved into my first new home. I am more than happy with everything and want to thank Brett Squance for being so professional and so helpful during this process. He was always at the end of the line when needed, even on his day off (thanks again Brett! :) The attention to details was outstanding! He came by the very next day after I moved in, to check on how everything was, how I was. That was very nice and it shows that these people really care and put a lot of effort in making everything perfect for you. Ryan, the site manager called in the very next day, checking if I have any issues to report as he was more than happy to sort them out for me. But there was nothing to report, the house was impeccable! Such a great experience and such lovely people to deal with!
