The sale of our house has completed! We could not be happier. Amber Thompson at Fox and Sons was so amazing from start to finish helping us through the whole process. As first time buyers we were unsure about the whole process but Amber was very patient and helped us through each stage keeping us fully informed and up to date. I could not recommend enough for an amazing and reliable service. Thank you again for all your help!

Harassing me with phone calls when iv asked them to stop more than once

I asked fox and sons to come a do a valuation of my late father’s property. I have then been phoned 20times since asking if they can put the property on the market for me. I asked them politely to not phone me any more as it’s on the market with a different estate agent and to take my details of the system. They said they would I have since then received 5 other phone calls from them and each time been told they will take my of the the system. I have had three calls since and each time I have asked not to be phoned and they keep phoning me. It’s getting to the point of harassment now. I would stay clear. They clearly don’t listen to peoples wishes and feel it’s ok to continue to phone someone when they have been asked not to. If only they put the same amount of effort into selling a property ( they had my old house on the market two years and had about three people for viewings.

Terrible service, avoid!

Terrible service, would not recommend. Would give zero stars if I could! There was no feedback following viewings, zero communication or market updates, and I had to point out listing errors multiple times (including the lease length being incorrectly shown as zero years!). I only received a brief, non-committal apology. I’ve now withdrawn the property. I wish I’d gone with an independent originally, someone who actually cares.

Continuously hassled even after asking multiple times not to be

The estate agent that came to value my property needed more customer experience. He asked very intrusive questions, was rude about other estate agents valuations, was very pushy and I felt I had to be firm when I said I am only wanting a second opinion, not for them to market my property. I asked not to be contacted by them and I would be in touch if I needed their services. In the weeks following, the decision was made for me not to use them as I was contacted via telephone at least twice a week, pushing me to put it on the market with them when all I’d asked for is a valuation. When I asked multiple times to be taken off their contact list, the message clearly didn’t get through as I was contacted a further three times after this. No voicemails were left - just missed calls from an unknown number.

⁷I would give 0 if I could. Terrible experience with fox&sons London Road Brighton. We had our house advertised with them for bearly 6 months. We had 3 viewings & 10 cancellations, however, when you looked, they claimed we had 13 viewing. Our biggest mistake was to go with them. Totally unprofessional photos. We changed the agent and within a week we had 4 viewing & one offer!! Additionally, when we left this agent, they carried on advertising our house without our permission with a new price!! Dispute both written & verbal communications! Totally unprofessional. We should have read the reviews and avoided them at all cost!! So far we have had 2 offers and might have the final offer soon.

Just recently moved into a rental in Yeovil. Communication throughout the whole process was really poor, we kept getting bounced between several people and no one really knew what was happening. At the start, Katie from Botley was amazing, really helpful and quick to respond. But Amber, Alice and the other (from a different store and I can't remember her name) weren't really helpful. Amber is slow to respond to emails (if she does) and Alice is new (so I don't blame her for not necessarily knowing) but when it was time to view the house, expecting Amber but it was Alice. She knew nothing of the property really and asked us to move the time of the viewing short notice as she had another viewing after (so felt rushed already) then asking her about the deposit and such and she really had no clue about our case. Again I don't blame Alice as she had just started, I just think it's really poor management and training to do that to her. To top it all off, we were then called only less then an hour before collecting the keys to be told that they didn't have them. We had movers booked and were arriving soon. Just really messed the day a bit and we were really lucky the movers didn't charge us waiting time. So I wouldn't recommend them, the Botley branch 100%, but not this one.

Rob Taylor is the oracle for mortgages!!!! We have received an amazing service from Rob throughout the whole process and can’t speak highly enough of him, he has been reassuring through from the word go and he is genuinely a lovely bloke. His knowledge of the lenders and their criteria is superb as he managed to get us a deal that other brokers couldn’t due to his up to date knowledge of the market. We couldn’t be happier and we will use Rob for every remortgage going forward.

Friendly and professional, she helped us set a fair price and reassured us about finding the right tenants. She kept us up to date throughout the process with phone calls and emails. It's important for us to know that our tenants will be looked after too, and I trust that this will be the case with Alice.

Absolutely disgusted at the way this company treated my son and his fiance. They had put a holding deposit on a flat and through no fault of theirs the landlady withdrew the flat and Fox and Sons refused to give them back their holding deposit. They could not afford to lose that money.

disinterested and inexperienced

Initial contact with the company seemed ok receiving emails and texts for the upcoming valuation. However the RE agent seemed inexperienced totally disinterested, didn't seem to have much idea about valuing a property other than going on line to look at other properties in the area - something I'd already done. Worst of all she never followed through with providing the valuation information as part of the follow up. I would definitely not use Fox & sons to sell my property given this experience.

Never touch these people with a barge pole! I’ve never in my life had such a bad experience with an estate agent and that’s saying something! Major pressure tactics to get you to spend more, refusal to return deposit, which thankfully they are so dodgy that tgey do not have a bank account and you need to pay by card! Always remember you can do a charge bsck bua your bank and you get your money back! The excuses I heard to hold onto your money! I think this may be hiw these guys get paid! Anyway rubbish service, rubbish people and steer well clear of these cowboys! Sequence homes are part of this group so steer clear of them as well.

After a very stressful few months of trying to relocate back to Yeovil from South Wales, Louise came to the rescue! Louise not only made it possible for us to view the property remotely, but managed to receive a decision from the Landlord within a few hours. She was friendly and welcoming, but most importantly, open to answering every question I had further putting my mind at ease. By FAR the most helpful Estate Agents I've dealt with in and around Yeovil, and not that I plan on having to use them in the near future, but Fox and Sons Yeovil will now always be my go to.

Dealings with his company didn’t even…

Dealings with his company didn’t even get past first contact. I saw a house I very much wanted to view and made several phone calls to their Yeovil branch over a 2 day period to arrange it. Not once was the phone answered in person and despite leaving VM messages, I was never called back. I was even considering knocking on the door of the property and asking the owners to contact Fox & Sons themselves to arrange a viewing! However, I have since found a property so no need, but if and when I ever come to sell it, it certainly won’t be through Fox & Sons. They don’t appear to work for either sellers OR buyers.

Extremely poor contact

Impossible to get a hold of them by phone or email. Couldn't get them to contact the potential landlord to sign the tenancy agreement until 7 days after the agreed move in date at which point tried to increase the rent from £1000pcm to £1300pcm. I didn't accept it and tried contacting them for over 2 months to return my deposit and they only started replying to my emails after I threatened legal action if they didn't return my deposit. Still waited until the day before I said I would take action before returning my money. I wouldn't ever look at a house managed by this company ever again and I should have called everything off once I saw how difficult it was to get replies even before signing anything

Slammed the phone down on my father when he was enquiring about a Peacehaven bungalow and was asked if his property was on the market. When he said "Not yet" the agent simply hung up. Serious buyer turned away by this agency. Would reconsider if you are thinking of listing your property with them.

Simply the best.

I had 8 different local estate agents come to value my house. All except Fox & Sons valued it by comparing it with properties that bore little resemblance to mine. The Fox & Sons valuer actually looked at the property properly and valued it accordingly. It sold within 5 days of going on the market for £16,000 more than the others had valued it. We have just completed.

Lacking in customer service for neurodiversity

I've recently started looking for a property to buy. Being neurodivergent, I have requested all correspondence be via email from all letting agents, so i can orgabise and manage a very overwhelming process. Unfortunately, Fox and Sons (brighton) seemed to have an issue with this and even so I repeatedly requested email correspondence, I was told that 'phone calls would be easier for both of us'.
