TrustpilotCowboy builders, shocking customer service, they take your money and run!!!
Do not buy a house from this shocking company, we have been short changed on land and had over 180 issues with our new home we bought from Crest Nicholson. This included no insulation upstairs, no sound proofing wrapped around soil pipes or in the boxing section where the pipes run, 2 meters short on rear garden, flooding around house, blown bricks, wonky walls, grit under every part of the glossing, door frame cracked, shortage of land to front and lamp post wrong side of house different to conveyance plan, road layout wrong. They also tried to bribe us with money to fill out the NHBC customer satisfaction survey completely satisfied so they could receive their bonus and win builders of the year!!. Now any reputable and decent company would sit down to discuss these major issue to get a resolution but not Crest Nicholson, there technical Manager and head of customer services would rather turn up unannounced with a gang of builders and start digging up my property to put another lamp post up so we have 2 within 5 meters of one another on my front garden. The Police had to be called out to speak to them for “breach of the peace” but they just crept back round to our family home when we were at work to carry on. How can they treat customers like this I would hate to be their enemy if this is the way they treat someone that spent £400,000 pounds on a home that they have continued to wreck!! For more information on the lamp post issue google “family at war with Crest Nicholson over lamp posts” and you will see how they have left our home. Shame on you Crest Nicholson and your incompetent head of customer services and technical manager for the eastern region.

TrustpilotTake zero responsibility for defects, no communication etc.
Crest will be exceptional during the buying process, accommodating all requests etc. However, once you have purchased, you have to hound them for any response to defects (and even then they'll only arrange somebody to inspect them). Emails go unanswered, they say they will fix something and then nothing happens, when you chase the cycle then restarts.Examples of issues we have faced:Reinforced walls - the reinforcement began to push through the plaster after a few weeks. This was rectified, but the contractors damaged our floor - Crest agreed to fix this but it has been almost a year with no resolution.Balcony - The decking keeps lifting across the development. Crest have supposedly identified the issue, but there has been no wider communication on what will happen and by when. Communal Heating Plant - Bills are excessive compared to having your own boiler despite marketing to the contrary. Any complaints fall on deaf ears as this area is completely unregulated.Managing Agent - Crest appointed the most incompetent managing agent and took two years to resolve the issue. The new managing agent are now recasting the accounts to try and resolve our service charge and to fix all the issues caused by the previous managing agent.Look at the reviews - the 5* ones are from new buyers, give them a couple of years of trying to get things fixed and they'll soon change their view.

This company is beyond poor experience. We have a leak for more than a year now, and they not in the rush to fix it. our flat have puddles on the flor, but Crest looks at it as a feature, not as problem.

Very good service from the sales team at Crest Nicholson, Shipston on Stour. A particular mention goes to the helpful lady who helped iron out our 'solicitor' issue, which enabled us to immediately change solicitors and progress our house sale & purchase quickly.

TrustpilotSuperb house and quality of customer service
We purchased our new home in September and Crest Nicholson were superb and recognising this was our home, and not just a house. From the initial handover on our moving in day, from a very experienced Site Manager (Neil), to amazing after care from superb staff (Robbie & Vic), we have been delighted with the quality of service provided, and we feel well respected as customers.Inevitable snags happen with new build houses, but these have been sorted very professionally, and the after care has been spot on.We have no hesitation in recommending Crest Nicholson based on our very positive experience.

TrustpilotI have been in my house for 4 years now…
I have been in my house for 4 years now and always knew the overall workmanship was horrendous. I have now decided to decorate and this is when you realise just how horrendous it is. The walls aren’t level, the ceilings aren’t level or smooth to the point where they all need re plastering, gaps in the stairs and skirting are masked with silicon to disguise. Thick lumps of Plaster just left around the doors and painted over. Light switches painted over, uneven floor. The list literally goes on! My front door isn’t level, patio doors need lifting etc. honestly, think before you buy and if buying get out a professional to look at the workmanship! These houses are supposed to be approved and signed off, well my dads a builder and this work would have never been signed off by a professional. Totally appalling!! Stay clear!!!

TrustpilotRECENTLY CONFIRMED OPEN FIRE CAVITY…
RECENTLY CONFIRMED OPEN FIRE CAVITY which NHBC did do as RISK TO LIFE. My next door neighbour has still to have his done. I purchased my home moved in to find out that my next door neighbours home was not a 4 bedroom home as per development plan, it is a 6/7 bedroom the owner of this house has been in dispute with the developers for nearly 8 years. Crest had informed me on a number of occasions they were going to buy him out and turn back into a 4 bedroom house, this has never happened it was done with out planning permission they deny mis selling/ representation to me. My garage and my neighbours garage were swapped prior to marketing the property so our planning does not match our land registry documents, I have had 7 repairs to my roof and despite them giving a guarantee on the roof they will not honour it. They had said my roof had condensation and upon having loft checked my extractor system has not ever been connected and it does not have all the piping or insulation on so feel they did not check with technical as stated. I had an estate agents round to value my home and it was not registered for gas which Crest were aware of within a month of me moving in by my neighbour as his was not registered my home was not registered until I asked where my certificate was. This is a criminal prison offence and the NHBC has confirmed main gas not to regulations there are more homes in our block like this, my home has been found to have mortar erosion with in 6 years the NHBC will not cover this, my front door have buckled and bowed and been clamped by the manufacturers as apparently the wrong type of door fitted and painted black in sunlight the door has a 10 year warranty manufacturers will not replace door the threshold is also all bowed, Having been a home owner for 45 years I can safely say I have had shoes that has lasted longer, Crest will not meet and talk to me and have gone as far as telling me in writing that I will be contacted by somebody that left the business. Crest offered to buy my next door neighbours back, I did ask the developer to buy this house back because of all the issues they will not correspond with me. And many more issues they just go on and on. I have not wanted a dispute with anybody. But once I started to complain then they just walked away.

TrustpilotCrest Eastern Region
Do your homework and don't believe everything you read on review sites. I refer in particular to Crest Eastern region. Poor workmanship, houses and site not to plan, arrogant management from the customer service team. You would think we were asking for houses that we hadn't paid for! Enquiries seem to suggest that it's the luck of the draw whether you get a good site manager and an easy site to deliver.Speak to existing customers and ask to join the developments Facebook sites, you will then get a better picture.

TrustpilotMy comments are strictly for Chris Nicholson and not for publication
In most things I would’ve rated my satisfaction with my apartment as excellent But one matter what I would’ve considered a minor thing remains outstanding after many months and I’m particularly concerned about the entrance to Stanhope house from Quayle Crescent which remains unsecured despite many efforts to put it right. I would like to give the highest rating to the members of your staff with whom I have dealt with directly particularly the site manager Darren Ellie and David and the original staff in the sales office Joseph and Charlotte who are in doubt the many small problems I had when I moved in very quickly and with concern

I have a sink that has been leaking for a year which has now caused mold. The cabinet is now starting to fall apart and the lino is lifting in this area. The site manager has looked at this and just said 'can't prove that this was us'. IT IS A NEW BUILDElectric box on the front of the house has never had a working door and flies open in the wind. This must be a HSE issue. Had to clean the gutter of render as they were not cleaned and only noticed when it rained heavily. The cages around the gas pipes have no screws holding them to the walls. Is this a feature for my child to play with? The bannister on the stairs is splitting in half!! Painting not finished above the doors. The underside of the sockets are not filled in. Turf laid on sub soil. Living next to the active site I am seeing dumper and forklift drivers texting whilst driving. Heras fencing is not locked over the weekend..... This is next to occupied houses where children live. ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES

Trustpilotservice charge rip off/fleecehold
I have paid £7500 in unnecessary service charges that will never end because Crest Nicholson did a deal with the council whereby the council gets a big back hander for allowing the development. We also pay full council tax and our road is now adopted but still the service charges don’t stop! Can’t sell house because no one wants to sign up for uncapped service charge for a life time. Don’t buy crest or any new build because they are all the same rip off.

Trustpilot(Morton Park)- Glad I chose CREST!!! My Friends envy on me now :)
Very Organized & helpful team. I was well informed about each & every process & was helped to get mortgage & paper work done without any hassle. I was invited for multiple appointments prior to moving into the property and was briefed in detail about the progress & process involved. When I told about this to my friends even they said Crest seems to be more organized & detailed as compared to other developers. The size of the bedrooms are way better than what I saw with other developers prior to finalising my purchase with CREST. Lounge area is quite big. I am really happy & please with my purchase with CREST. Thanks a lot Luke (Morton Park) for your help throughout.
