Miss Chantelle has been an amazing estate agent for us. After looking in the area for months on end we came across Miss Chantelle and explained our circumstances and budget and type of house we wanted. Since we were based in London she was kind and considerate enough to bulk book on weekends so we can view properties on the same day. We saw a house that was slightly over our budget, miss Chantelle helped us put our offer forward and in this extremely competitive market helped us negotiate with the vendor. Result? We got our offer accepted on the same day as we viewed the property. 6 weeks later and we are collecting the keys today. Emmanuel was very professional and helped in looking for the property. Reducing the review star rating as I am still in house hunt, but there is no further correspondence from Oakwood and I can see 2 other properties with my search criteria being rented out 2 days back. I only found them as Let agreed directly on the other portals, would be nice if you can atleast communicate the newly available properties to those who have registered with you until they find a house.

I have found Oakwood estates very quick and professional in finding me new tenants multiple times now. Emmanuel is a very good negotiator who was able to get us rates over and above the asking price with multiple offers. I was not expecting that. Dominick did a good job by strategising the viewings in batch by keeping an open day which paid at the end. Their property portal is good as well and you can find all updates/documents there through out the journey with regular notifications to your inbox. I have mostly dealt with Lena (Jones) after the initial valuation from Josh. She has been professional and courteous, folliwing up any queries we have had and feeding back any comments from prospective buyers. Oakwood's have shown the property to many more potential buyers than I would have thought was possible at this time of year. It can only be from their marketing strategies and committment to sell. Josh not only valued the house for us, but wrote a letter of evaluation for inheritance tax purposes, even though we had not committed to sell. He even followed up with a couple of phone calls to check all was ok before we agreed to go with Oakwood's. All in all, there is a helpful team of staff and committment to selling property, as well as doing so in a professional manner, is the forefront of their ethos. I have been trying to get a will written for some time by Oakwood Estates but I am frustrated they have yet to write a will that conveys my wishes. They are inflexible about the wording and the statements that should appear in the will citing "it's required by law". I disagree. I do not think they are interested in a client that does not bring about any benefit to the company e.g. setting up a Trust, nominating them to be Executors in the will or be consulted by nominated Executors if they required advice, be the keepers of the will. I am doing none of that.

We were impressed from the start with Oakwood - they really demonstrated a solid knowledge of the local market, which wasn't always the case with the other agents we considered when we began the process of selling our flat. All communication was very easy and we never felt out of the loop.
