Arranged to view a property with Dale Edison as soon as it came on the market. The property was a long way from where I currently live so had to plan a trip carefully. The evening before the viewing, on which I had already made the long trip to stay close by I saw Rightmove status had been changed to Sold STC. I had not been informed that the viewing was cancelled so thought they would still be open to viewings. Also, in demand market, I understand these things happen. However, I thought I'd better check and sent an email to confirm the viewing was still going ahead the morning of the viewing. I hadn't heard a reply by lunchtime with the viewing around mid-afternoon. I thought I'd better call - only to be told it had been cancelled but no one had bothered to tell me. So a long journey wasted without even the courtesy to let me know. If this is how they treat their buyers, I'd certainly think twice before wanting to buy or sell through Dale Edison - even if they have the perfect property on their books.

The property went live on 13th August and your viewing was booked on 14th August for 22nd August. In the meantime, several local buyers requested urgent appointments. Following these, an offer was received which the owners instructed us to accept. As this was their long-term family home, they placed particular importance on the buyers’ local connections and asked us to cancel all forward-booked viewings.
In line with their wishes, we telephoned you on 18th August, four days before your appointment, and when there was no answer, we left you a voicemail to advise that the property was under offer, the reasoning and that your viewing was unfortunately cancelled.
We are sorry if that message did not reach you as intended, but we do feel we acted promptly and in accordance with the vendor’s instructions. We pride ourselves on treating both buyers and sellers fairly, and we will continue to review how we communicate updates to ensure information is received as clearly as possible.

Starting with the postives Dale Eddison were bang on with their valutaion and sold our property at the full asking price. Where I felt their service slipped was once the sale had been agreed. There was very little communication, I did most of the chasing and I wasn't entirely confident with the information they were telling me. I appreciate transactions can drag out and it does get stressful but I think they could have managed the sitaution far better. Since the house sold I've had had no communication or thank you for my business, really poor.

From the offset the service was impeccable with various members of staff dealing with enquiries and viewing appointments, and when our now new home came on to the market they contacted us and wasted no time at all in getting us a viewing. Through negotiations and the actual purchasing process, Emma made such a professional impression and nothing was too much trouble for her despite the issues we had with the chain below us. Emma and Helen were very responsive, understanding, professional and although some organisations treat their customers like a number, we can categorically say we weren't with Dale Eddison. Even down to the last detail of presenting our new home key in a ribboned box was just the perfect touch.
