Horton & Storey Estate Agents have recently successfully sold our house in Solihull and we completed last Friday. This is the second time we have used Horton & Storey to sell our house in the last four years. Again they were excellent throughout the whole process managing the chain and keeping us informed. Special mention to Justyn who worked tirelessly for us. As well as being a great estate agent they are also very competitive with a low fixed fee compared to other estate agents who charge a percentage. I highly recommend Horton & Storey.

Delighted with the service received from Tom Storey & the Lettings team. I moved to Horton & Storey from another lettings agency, and the difference is chalk & cheese. H&S have done exactly what they said they would do, in the timeframe they said they would do it. They provided advice prior to marketing, managed numerous tenant applications for my property, conducted robust reference & credit checks, were responsive to all my questions and preferences. They have provided me with a much more robust contract (which I was able to review and comment on in advance of signing), a very professionally done inventory report (which I never had from previous letting agency), etc. I have a new tenant moving in today within only a month of marketing the property - and they found me several prospective tenants to choose from. Thank you to Tom, Jennifer & Charlotte, I very much look forward to working with you in the future !

Thank you to Justyn and Florence at Horton & Storey for helping me sell my mothers house. At a very stressful time for me they were very patient and professional and kept me informed at every stage of the process. I was very impressed by how Justyn provided evidence of how he had calculated the potential selling price of the property. He had really done his research beforehand. It was great getting emails whenever a viewing was booked, and then a telephone call to update me on the results of the viewings. A sale was agreed very quickly. The staff all all really helpful and friendly . I would definitely recommend.

We are now safely installed in our new apartment in Solihull and are enjoying our new surroundings. The process of buying turned out to be very rocky, due to a variety of delays and last-minute shortcomings from various solicitors that led to us being ‘homeless’ for a fortnight. We’re feeling so relieved that we’ve finally made it and that the stress is lifting now! Thank you to everyone at Horton and Storey (especially Emma Tovey) for your help and support through the many tortuous twists and turns that our saga took. You must have felt yourself caught between opposing forces on many occasions, but we’ve all emerged, more or less intact! Your communication was always very clear, honest and punctual, so we never felt left in the dark, and we were constantly kept up to date with progress. Your understanding of how we must be feeling, was very re-assuring in the circumstances. At least our case may be an example of the worst that might befall, to be used to regale others with in the future. Thanks again for getting us here. Amazing communication from the staff and although we came across some small bumps on the renting process, Jennifer and Charlotte went out of their ways to help us in order to have the smoothest move in! The property was immaculate when we received it and when we had a small issue with the washing machine, it was promptly taken care of and fixed within a day! Could not recommend them more!

Purchased a property with Horton and Storey. Emma was very good in keeping us informed of progress and liaising with the solicitors. We felt very well informed and kept up to date. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is due to the difficulty we had in getting a viewing in the first place. We enquired on the property almost immediately upon it being listed on rightmove and demonstrated proof of funds. We were booked in to view the following Saturday. Then we were informed viewings were being brought forward to take place on the Monday. It took a lot of liaising with different appointment slots we were offered being given away before we did get a slot. It was the last slot so we felt like we very nearly missed out. All’s well that ends well, and I would recommend them as an estate agents, but this was slightly frustrating at the start of the process.

I invited three agents round to appraise the house I had to sell and Horton & Storey (in the form of Justyn Horton) struck me as the most professional and realistic of them all. The house went on the market and within 36 hours, open house viewings had been arranged for no less than 19 prospective purchasers! Within another 4 days, 7 offers above the guide price (several significantly so) had been received and a preferred purchaser selected with Justyn's advice. From that point on, Justyn and his colleague Emma were first class in following through the legal process with my solicitor and frequent contact with the purchaser until the sale was completed in accordance with the agreed time scale. All in all, a very professional, efficient and friendly service from Horton & Storey who I would highly recommend.

Highly recommend Horton and Storey from my personal experience! We came across this Agency when we were viewing a house on a Saturday. We then agreed to have our house valued following Monday. Photos were taken on Wednesday, our house hit on the market at Friday night! All sorted in one week! It was because how prompt that they delivered their job, our house managed to attract lots of viewings requests over the busy weekend, which then allowed us to arrange viewings during following week. And we were eventually offered very good price from quite a few viewers. Again, house sold in a week and our dream house has been secured by them too. All thanks to Horton and Storey’s prompt and professional manner as well as their confident sense within the house selling market, we were able to go through the first section of the whole process so smoothly, they are no doubt a potentially very strong player who will only make house selling/ buying a less stressful one! Would not recommend them for any rental properties, we had an infestation in our house after 1 month of moving in which was clearly present before we moved in and rather than getting any professionals in to sort the issue they asked the landlord to come and look at it, they had no idea what they were doing and shock the issues continued for weeks and weeks in the end they stopped responding to our emails and just said we can end our tenancy if we were unhappy but it would be at our expense & would have to pay £650 & pay rent untill they re advertised the house even though we were no longer staying there because of the problem. They were also going to happily scam someone else to take our place and not actually push the landlord to fix the issue. Also if you have Sophie as your agent good luck to you is all I’m going to say she could not care less and is the slowest person going with 0 people skills from day 1
