GoogleKara absolutely blew us both away from the moment we met her. She was just lovely. She was so knowledgeable, went through everything with us, explained each stage, she even brought examples of the market past and present in line with the property we are looking to sell and explaining what and why. No stone was left unturned. We came away understanding everything, the way she dealt with us was like speaking with a friend. We were totally at ease and knew Kara would take some beating on the way she made us feel, her knowledge and customer service as a whole. The turnaround time from our initial meeting, to pictures, for the listing to go live and the board to be erected and EPC sorted was a matter of days. The service has been outstanding from Kara followed by excellent communication throughout. You really cannot ask anymore. From one seller/buyer to another, my advice to you is choose Kara from S&B her property/market knowledge , customer service and the drive she has to assist you in buying/selling your property, i can assure you, you won't find anyone better. If i could give Kara more stars i would.

GoogleI was looking at 2 properties With Starkey and Brown. Having to travel 200 miles to view them in 2 different towns, they organised the viewings so they could be down on the same day.. They told me about possible delays with one viewing, but arranged a viewing at a similar property synchronising the times of both viewings. I did in fact buy the suggested property at the 2nd site. They have been so helpful and have organised everything perfectly. Thank you.

GoogleRecently put a house up for sale with the Scunthorpe branch of Starkey of Brown. Have used them before. Staff are always friendly, proactive & provide updates on progress. Kara came to value the property and had researched the market and so we were able to agree a price quickly. Aimee & her team arranged a number of viewings and we have been able to accept an offer on the property.

1-Star Review Extremely Unprofessional and Immoral Conduct, A Warning to Fellow Investors As very experienced property investors, we have dealt with numerous estate agents over the years, but we have never encountered a firm that has acted in such an unprofessional and frankly immoral manner. After our offer on a property was accepted, the agent continued to allow viewings, without informing us. We submitted our mortgage application the same day and followed up promptly, yet there was no courtesy call, no email, and no transparency. This kind of behaviour, particularly the allowance of gazumping after an accepted offer, is unacceptable and unethical. It shows a clear disregard for proper business conduct and respect for serious buyers. We strongly advise others, especially fellow investors, to be extremely cautious when dealing with this firm. This experience will be reported across social media, property investor networks, and review platforms to ensure others are fully informed. Proceed with great caution.

GoogleWe recently sold both our properties through Starkey and Brown and they were fantastic! My original sale fell through and they were able to take me on as a client, market my property and have me an offer accepted within 3 business days. Everyone in the team was helpful, knowledgeable and supportive. I didnt have one bad experience with them throughout my sale and their help with our subsequent purchase. We both have to say that Lucy Atkinson is an asset to the team. She was our Sales Progressor and I have nothing but glowing feedback. She knows what's happening with her cases, she'll stand your corner and she'll be there to support you through the highs and lows of buying and selling houses. We had some terrible experiences with my solicitor and nearly ended up homeless for the weekend. Lucy was still with us right up until we got our keys. We both love Lucy and she's definitely the biggest reason to choose Starkey and Brown. Don't hesitate to give them a call.
