Canterbury Abominable, horrendous experience. Avoid at all costs. The level of professionalism and customer service at the Canterbury branch is truly shocking. Deposit withheld for unforeseen future, additional charges for fingerprints and removal of door mats after a year of unresolved issues, faulty windows, lose kitchen components, broken garden gates, and unemptied bins. May I suggest additional training before you promote people into managerial roles and educate landlords on the rights of people who rent.

Regal have been faultless throughout the sale of our property. We were in a small yet cumbersome chain that went on for over 6 months and Regal were in excellent communication with both us and our buyers throughout. They were quick to respond to any queries we had and kept in regular contact with the solicitors on both sides. They gave a good and fair price and it was worth every penny and more! Particular credit to Rachael and Ryan who have been on the other end of the phone at every step and have gone above and beyond at every hurdle (and believe me, there were a lot!!) I would highly recommend Regal to anyone looking to sell/purchase a property.

Extremely unprofessional and rude

Extremely difficult processes with this estate agents throughout tenancy as well as being met by unpleasant language by the property manager on a regular basis and being shouted at over the phone. Did not receive one email in respectable manner, as well as having false information peddled at me which was absolutely not legal. I spoke to a girl over the phone which kept iterating and arguing that a deposit didn't not have to be returned within 10 days or have some form of communication within 10 days of leaving the property. Take it as a warning and do not rent with such unprofessional and unknowledgeable people.Update on the matter: A director of the company has gone out of her way now to share slandering information in response to my reviews of the unprofessional and horrible way I was treated, and has actually shared contractual information without my consent, committing a confidentiality breach as well as other irrefutable acts. Be wary of who you do business with. The level of unprofessionalism experienced is now at all time high and not from just an employee but a Director of the company! wow

Misleading advert - Helpful agent

Originally left a positive review as the process we had gone through to that point was positive when we were asked to review. We had been accepted for a property that we had viewed virtually (which was beautiful!) we were so excited and went to measure up/view the property in person. We made the hour round trip and we’re unable to gain access - very disappointing! Estate agent did not have any keys and the tennant was not home. The agent that was sent on the day also had no knowledge of the property and was not very helpful. We re-arranged and returned the following week, the property was in such a poor condition. It was obvious that the virtual viewing we had seen was taken when the property was newly renovated, it was such a false advertisement - the property we viewed was in poor condition and had clear damp and mould problem. We withdrew our application and subsequently lost our deposit, which we feel is unfair due to how different the virtual viewing of the property was. Megan helped us throughout the process and was speedy and a good communicator, I just feel that this was an unfair service and other potential tenants should be warned that this system is in place. The footage was not up to date nor accurate.

I have used Regal Estates in Canterbury for many years to manage my property. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They are professional, courteous and have always been available to both myself as a landlord and my tenants. My association with Regal has made being a landlord a pleasure. I have relied on them to deal with utility companies, trades people and liaise between myself and the many sets of tenants in the property. The house is now for sale and my relationship with Regal has ended but should I enter the rental market again this company will be my only choice. At every level the employees have been exemplary.

Unreliable, not trustworthy

Simply do not choose them as your tenancy agents because they are only interested in making a profit through stealing your holding deposit. If you smell this, they will flip the deal and reject your application without any referencing procedures.

I couldn’t be happier with Regal estates and the team. I wanted to rent out my newly refurbished apartment. They came to the apartment with all sorts of cameras and gadgets and spent time taking photos and creating a brilliant virtual tour. The girls were brilliant and found tenants within a week. This was my Father’s apartment who passed away last year so a huge thank you to the team for making what could have been a very stressful experience a pleasant one!

Absolutely disgusting service from…

Absolutely disgusting service from these estate agents. Problems arising at the property that took 2 years to rectify, and still haven't been put right to this day. Constant lies after lies. Moved out now and they are trying to charge £990 for redecorating a property which has only fair wear and tear marks...they are all about money and have possibly the worst customer service levels I've ever experienced. They will send you an email out of hours so that you cannot contact them about it till the next week, constantly ignore your calls and emails. I would not recommend these to anyone and certainly won't use them again. Now potentially taking them to court over the whole thing. Said in our check out inspection the property was filthy and poor condition, despite all people looking around saying how well it was kept, along with the fact the cleaners only had to complete a 'light clean' as per their invoice.DO NOT USE THESE.

What an experience, 5 stars isn’t enough.

What an experience. Professional. Personal. Always there for you. Through a pandemic there were ups and downs with 2 offers that couldn’t make it through in the middle of the process and a 3rd that took a long time, at no fault of this agents. A challenge you’d assume however these amazing agents, seemingly laugh in the face of a challenge, as in a matter of weeks to turn around the property, re-market and get another offer in place, fierce. They had a plan every step of the way. Worked hard to get viewings in place with high communication along the way they really made me feel valued as a client. They wanted to know how they could do better for me all the way through. If you emailed you got a response. If you called you spoke to someone that knew the answer. Everyone else around the city must be going out of business due to these agents. Style. Ask for Gillian by name as you need them on your team as her and the team in Canterbury are FABULOUS!
