Newcastle-under-Lyme branch have used misleading photographs of an unsuitable property to obtain money by deception from a local charity - unless they return all monies paid and cancel the tenancy agreement, I would not recommend anyone rent from them.They were awful letting agents when I last used them, intrusive and unhelpful. And people wonder why landlords and estate agents have such a bad name!

Dear Chris, Thank you for your feedback, which we believe to be in response to a recent social media post. For clarity, we would like to highlight that this is connected to the letting of a commercial retail premises, rather than a domestic dwelling; our Newcastle under Lyme branch are in no way connected to this transaction. We regret that the tenant doesn’t feel the property is fit for purpose. We are working with the tenant and the landlord to come to a solution but as the contract is signed the decision rests with the landlord. Unfortunately, due to Government imposed restrictions, we were unable to offer an in-person viewing and sent the tenant a short video of the property which was recorded prior to lockdown. The tenant ultimately made the decision to sign the lease, having had the time and opportunity to have this reviewed, and paid the rent for the first year in its entirety in advance; this was not a requisite of the letting but rather a decision made by the tenant. It's an unfortunate situation and we’ll continue to work with both sides in an attempt to come to a satisfactory outcome.bjb Commercial team.

Against advice the property was initially placed on the market without a for sale sign which in our opinion was detrimental to activity levels as the property is located on a busy road. On occasions we are unable to carry out accompanied viewings due to availability and times requested, if we are unable to carry out viewings we make this very clear to vendors at the outset and request they help in these instances rather than lose the potential buyer. In respect of the number of viewings carried out we have checked our records and note more than one took place over the period the property was on the market. An offer was received and accepted and the sale progressed to an exchange of contracts and completion. It is regrettable to receive this feedback however, our records show we made regular contact with the seller throughout the process.
